This is a top quality retail experience. Knowledgeable, motivated and capable staff

Good products, and however much it cost more than buying online/big box store is 120% worth it. Don’t get me wrong I shop at the big box stores too, but it genuinely feels good to spend money in this store.

Great lumber store located out here in Port Angeles Washington. It’s my go to for small parts metal parts, odd parts, lumber, paint, general building supplies and obviously much much more.. conveniently located in in the south west corner of Port Angeles. Great store to come to when you’re in a pinch and working in the area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Will continue to go to the store time and time again. It’s just a good one.

I'm new to the area and find the service to customers and community by all the staff I've worked with to be extraordinary. I prefer patronizing locally owned businesses and whether it is matching a 75 year old paint chip, helping me supply plexiglass for art projects, or providing references for experienced and trustworthy contractors, the staff have gone out of their way to be helpful. More, the staff clearly enjoy their jobs and support one another. It takes good management to create that kind of atmosphere, top down.

Isaac in the rental department is amazing. He goes out of his way to help you, making sure you are getting the right equipment for the job, as well as making sure you know how to use the equipment. I will be renting for him again. Thank you.

Chris was great! I appreciate the professional help and honesty. I would say they are by far better than the competition and no where's near the "Wal-Mart" of the Lumber industry--- The Home depot where the employees try to avoid you and don't have any knowledge working with the products they sell. They do at Angeles Millwork and Lumber Company I highly recommend shopping local and choosing this Team.

Great service, very friendly, walked me through what I would need for my green house and even delivered the wood to my driveway in Sequim. Awesome service. Best place on the Peninsula. Thank you.

Angeles Millwork is employee-owned, and you can tell when you compare the service from here to the service from Home Depot. They've got a wide selection of lumber, tools, plumbing, electrical, etc etc etc. You can even rent tools. Folks here are very knowledgeable and helpful. I've spent a lot of money here and I will continue to do so. It's so cool to have a not-corporate hardware store in town.

There is more to this place than just lumber. They have a rental department for hand tools, lawn and garden tools, and construction equipment of the hand operated type. The store is stocked with plumbing, electrical, hardware, household, and tools. The staff is knowledgeable in most areas and always helpful.

I always check Angeles Millwork for home repair/remodel supplies before anywhere else. They almost always have what I need, saving me a trip farther into town. The only exceptions have been specialized electrical or plumbing needs, but those are difficult to find anywhere outside of major cities. Their customer service is very solid and I've had an excellent experience with their tool rentals. The only downside is having to drive/walk through their heavy materials loading zone to get to the front door, but their forklift drivers always seem to be very alert of cross-traffic.

Not as good as it used to be a few years ago. I purchased a couple 12-ft 1x4s I simply needed them cut in half. So the yard guy that brought them to the saw placed them there walked away only to return with another customers four by four which he cut in half after removing my wood from the saw. Then he walked away. So then I went over to the saw to cut them myself at which time one of the guys from the register came out and made the cut for me. So on the way while leaving I see the same guy standing there with his hands in his pockets watching a guy operate the forklift. Seems pretty Petty and ultimately aggravating. No rhyme or reason.

The big box hardware stores rarely have the time, the care or the knowledge to really help you find what you need or don’t need. I’m a new home owner and NOT an expert DiYer and I’ve never had a negative experience or felt talked down to. I LOVE this store.

Angeles Millwork & Hartnagels have my business for life. Not only are the people knowledgeable these guys are not charging a delivery fee to the West End during the Stay home order. (No minimum) The Orange box big box store wants to charge $80.00. Save money and time shop at the Millwork or Hartnagels.

As a home owner working on small projects I come here a lot. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They are very accommodating even to the little guy, not just catering to larger contractors. For a fence that I'm building, I was able to sit down with John and he helped me select the right lumber for the project and had it delivered the next day. It's always a good idea to support great local businesses here in PA.

Full stock of lumber and all the bits you need for repairs or creating something new. Friendly helpful staff showed me where everything is, and unlike a certain orange box 30 miles round trip, all these people knew what they were selling and how it all works. I like to shop locally and buy locally.

We Answer Frequently Asked Questions
Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.

2. How much does it usually cost to replace the roof of a commercial building?

The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.

3. What factors affect the overall roof repair cost?
+-

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.

4. What is the typical roof leak repair cost, and how is it calculated?

Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
