Tomas did a thorough and thoughtful analysis of our situation, then a customized scope of work. Compared to the other contractors who provided quotes and recommendations, the Amigo quote was not the lowest but, in my judgment, clearly the best design, which was what I was hoping for. Our job was completed on the scheduled day, and the installation team was professional and friendly.

Highly recommend Amigo Gutters. I had them over for 2 jobs - one was rerouting of the gutter downspouts which they had an expert suggestion how to improve the existing setup and did an excellent job. Second time was to install gutter guards. Again very professional, did the work promptly and very reasonably priced. Very satisfied and highly recommend their services.

I had a great experience with Amigo Gutters. They were fast and efficient, cleaned up nicely and charged less than I expected. Tomas even came back for a visit afterward to do a minor repair that had nothing to do with the work they did, and didn't charge me for the extra visit.

I'm very happy with the work and price for the 2 times I hired Amigo Gutters. Tomas was super quick to respond both times, showing up the next day after I messaged them to make an estimate, and then getting the job done within a week later. The first time was to clean out my gutters and install gutter guards to fix them getting clogged by leaves, and left me a telescoping brush to easily clean them myself going forward, which came in handy the next fall. The next time was to clean moss growth on my roof and reroute a gutter drain, and they left my roof looking almost new again and fixed a gutter drainage problem left by the initial installers. Overall I'm very pleased with Tomas and his crews work after repeat business, which was done at a great price, and would greatly recommend them to others.

I hired Amigo gutters to install a new gutter system and downspouts on my house in March 2021. They're quote was middle of the pack and I really liked Tomas so I picked them out of a group of four others.

My experience with Tomas has been exceptional. I had a metal roof installed and coordinated metal (from Nu-Ray Metals) for my gutters to have an exact match with my roof and Tomas seamlessly help coordinate the details. Also, I've had two instances where I needed follow-up support and Tomas is always quick to respond and follow-up. His communication, quality and professionalism is 10/10. I'd gladly use them again and refer to anyone who needed gutter work.

Tomas was referred to me by a member of a local city neighborhood group. He had availability right away and came by to do a quote. Quote was competitive and we scheduled right away. Within a week I had a quote and new gutters installed. Weeks later he also came back by and installed a final piece I wanted to go across the new roof deck I was having installed. Great service and always prompt communication! Thanks, Tomas.

Things started great, but ended very poorly. We purchased an old house with 2 different styles of gutters, all with gutter guards, some of which were damaged from tree limbs. We hired Amigo gutters to replace two dented sections, and one non-matching section so all of the gutters on the house would look the same. At first Tomas was great, we had originally talked about replacing all of the gutters and gutter guards so everything would be new, but given the cost, especially of the gutter guards, we decided to limit replacement to just the sections necessary to make everything match without dents. We also considered installing a section of copper gutter, but it was significantly more expensive so we didn’t go through with it. All this to say, before installation, Tomas was knowledgable and great to work with.

Unfortunately on install day his installer installed the wrong style of gutter. Rather than make them all the same, they made it so on every side of our house we had two different styles of gutter. The goal was to make all the gutter sections look the same, but in he made it worse. To “make it right” he said it would be easier to replace two adjacent sections than re-do the work, and as a compromise we would ignore one side of the house that is largely unseen, and another side where there's a large break in the middle so it's less noticeable that they're different. It didn’t make sense to us that it would be easier to replace the longer extra sections than re-do the original sections, but we took him at his word, and the installer replaced the adjacent sections because he said it was easier for him.

We live on an acre lot in a forest, a week later when I was cleaning the roof, a monthly event, I discovered the new gutters don’t have gutter guards, and were already full of needles and pine-cones from a windstorm that weekend. The day of the install we called Tomas Tomas and asked how much it would cost to make all the gutters the same (our original goal, which we had just paid him to not do!), and he sent us an invoice for $2800, which also mentioned installing the missing gutter guards; so he clearly knew his installer replaced gutters that had guards with gutters that didn’t. When I discovered the guards were missing, Tomas accused us of taking advantage of him, and offered to install gutter guards on one of the two “make it right” sections. In a follow-up email we explained to him what had happened, how there is a miscommunication between him and his installer and that we have security camera footage of the conversation proving that. We said we appreciated his offer to replace one of the two sections, and asked if we could pay him his normal rates to install the other guard he removed, and then given his installers mistake, to try and help him make money on the deal, pay him to replace the two mis-matched (which was his fault) gutter sections to make every gutter on the house the same (our original goal!). He replied he thinks he still has the guards he ripped off, which he would re-install, but he didn’t want to do anything else.

Originally Tomas was great to work with, however, when his installer messed up, leaving us with no gutter guards in the adjacent sections, and still with mis-matched gutters… which was the entire point of hiring him in the first place, Tomas accused us of taking advantage of him. In the end we paid him to do work that he only partially did, and his “making it right” actually made the situation worse for us; how that’s taking advantage of him is beyond me. The original bid from Tomas was $2400, and according to Tomas it will cost an additional $2800 to make everything look the same and add the missing gutter guards, which he has backtracked on and is apparently no longer willing to do. Had Tomas’ installer done what we hired them for we would have spent $2,400. Because of Tomas’ installer’s mistake, and because of the way he “made it right”, unfortunately we now need to spend an additional $2,800 to accomplish our original goal... with another gutter company.

Tomas showed up on time for the estimate as the leaf-guard system's recommended installer. The services quoted to me by Tomas involved preparation of the gutters by lowering them to ensure the runoff doesn't flow over the mesh. This was stressed by Tomas as an important part of the labor to ensure the system works. The quoted price made sense if they were going to adjust/lower the gutters. I was told the gutters would be checked for levelness and corrected if needed.

The crews that showed up didn't do any of that. They did install the leaf-guards but it involved simply screwing them to the lip of the gutters. The whole job took under 30 mins. They didn't even bring a level to check the slope for the right pitch. When I asked if they screwed the back side of the mesh to fascia (another part of the service described by Tomas), they said it was not needed since the gutter was on hangers (which gutter isn't?). The mud and debris in the gutters was simply thrown in my back yard as were the pieces of the stainless steel mesh they cut while fitting the guards. A part of my cleanup also involved cleaning broken branches from them parking their truck under my madrone tree in the front.

Anyway, I am not saying Tomas' intention is to mislead, he seems very professional. But a fair warning, ensure with the quote you're getting what you're paying. For leaf-guards, I suggest you request the work to be split into gutter lowering/leveling and guard installation. Otherwise, you'll end up like me, paying close to a grand for installing 50ft of straight guards, zzzp zzzp, done & gone. (And your own clean-up). This was my own experience and I'm happy for those who gave 5 stars with theirs.

In addition Tomas gave me 16 feet-long pole with a a brush at the end and show me how I could Maintain clean the top cover each year.
If any of you is thinking if Amigos Gutters and Tomas professionalism and craftsmanship. Do not. Hire him and his team. You will not be disappointed.

Tomas and team did a great job installing new gutters on my '77 tri-level home. Competitive bid with multiple options, and Tomas didn't try to sell me on products and services I didn't need. His team even came over just to take down the existing gutters, providing me a month to out new fascia board on our home and do some repairs, before coming over to perform the new install. And his team did a great job, installing beautiful wide bottom fascia gutters, doing some custom routing that I had requested, and making sure the downspouts pushed water far away from the home. A+ job!

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
