I started the home building process with very little guidance. No one in my family has ever built or gone through this process. Jimmy Rhodes has been a BIG help and very patient with me. I chose a plan and when I changed my mind to get another plan, he did not even blink. He helped me switch the plan up a little bit so that it would be perfect for my family, which was fun! He has made the process very smooth so far!

America's Home Place is a very professional home building business. They always follow proper procedures in planning their home builds as we ( Charles Blackwell Soil Testing) do all of their soil boring and compaction test for all builds. We have done their testing for 10+ years. We highly recommend them!

Awesome! Awesome experience! We were treated very kindly from day one to the last day of when we received our key. We were informed about every step and process - we were at liberty to choose everything in our home down from tile to light fixtures, etc. If we had to do it (build a home from the ground up) all over again with AHP (Flowood) - we would do it in heartbeat…the only regret I have is not adding a fireplace in our home, so please don’t settle.

I called today to get information regarding a two bedroom home in Itta Bena, Leflore County MS. I was transferred to Jimmy who was very rude. After repeatedly interrupting me saying, " We don't build in Itta Bena", "We don't build in Itta Bena".I allowed him to finished before asking if they build in Humphreys Count, Belzoni..He started back saying the same thing.."We don't build in Itta Bena". He then proceeded to say, "You don't have to raise your voice at me." And hung up the phone...The most unprofessional person I've ever encountered.

When I went to the America's Home Place Seminar, at the Jackson Building Center in Flowood,MS, I expected a large ball room presentation with brochures, slides and lots of people. I was mistaken. It was done in what I describe as their display room/office. When I first walk thru the front door. I felt that I was walking into a living room. I notice that there was a couch and easy chairs. There was a complete kitchen on whose island were sandwiches and snacks. The refrigerator was stocked with cold beverages. This was a display room with examples of what your living room or kitchen could look like when finished. When the seminar started it was a small group of not more than ten people but the presentation was prepared as if it was being given to ten thousand people. The presentation explained the service America's Home Place provide. Complete from monolithic slab foundation to installing appliances. Taking your empty lot and converting it to a completed home. With referral help to Affordable Lending Group on structuring your loan to move in when your home is complete. At the end of the seminar we were given a look at the office where they coordinate the construction from beginning to end.

Usually you don't write a good review when you don't get what you want. I didn't get what I wanted but I did get what I needed. Let me clarify. What I was looking for was a company to pour me a site ready slab for a “Tiny House”. What I found was a custom home builder who showed me more options. They gave me cause to pause and consider other options.

All staff we had contact with were so pleasant and helpful. Any time of day! Even the preferred lenders were patient. Everyone is very knowledgeable and if they happened to not know something,they asked around until they got you a solid answer. You can tell they communicate well amongst each other. We appreciate the work America’s homes place does and the way they manage the home building process. The process is simple and very efficient. Everyone that we worked with was working hard behind the scenes to ensure we had a great customer experience.

My experience with America's Home Place has been a mix of good and bad. In fairness I am not sure if the bad experiences have been due to the Pandemic.

From the beginning with Jimmy, we had some speed bumps, and he went above and beyond to help us get everything ironed out. He was very patient and attentive to our very hard to handle personalities. America's Home Place started 9 months ago to build our home. We are now living in our beautiful home built by them. The staff at American's home place are awesome. They did everything they could to help us and tried to meet deadlines even though there was a pandemic going on, constantly changing the availability of material and workers. The entire staff was great, but a special thanks to Wade, Austin and Jimmy. We sure appreciate our beautiful home!

Working with America's Home Place has been great. They have been understanding of our needs and have worked with us through all of our concerns. They sat with us over multiple meetings to help us create a wheelchair accessible space in our house for my mom who is in a wheelchair full time. I can't wait to see our finished home!

I've sought after multiple contractors out about a year ago to gather more information about the home building experience; seeking processes, advice, wisdom, etc.

Jimmy at America's Home Place far surpassed any contractor I have met. And in that year of waiting, Jimmy stayed in contact - constantly offering advice even though he never got the official home building contract from my family.

I'm happy to report (although I didn't get my way on building cabinets, but with understanding circumstances) that I am super excited to be jumping into this venture with America's Home Place. UPDATE: The house is completed. Their responsiveness stayed on point. The only snag - I had to keep finding problems from Subcontractors to repair without the contractor finding them. (Loose faucet heads coming out the wall, incorrect fan rated junction boxes, plumber issues, etc.) Then I DID NOT get the two car driveway we agreed on at our final plan review. I was told we ran out of money. Seriously, a one car driveway? All in all, happy with the house.

Just closed on our new home today. We couldn’t be more pleased with the entire process. Everyone involved in the process were excellent. Jimmy, Austin, and Wade were very professional . Most of all their communication and attention to detail were above and beyond my expectations. I would strongly recommend this company for your building needs.

My husband and I were referred to America's Home Place by friends who recently had their home built through them. Their home is absolutely beautiful and they couldn't say enough positive things about their experiences. We decided to schedule a consultation with Jimmy, who our friends highly recommended, and see for ourselves. Jimmy greeted us at the door with a huge smile. He helped us design our "dream home", which turns out wasn't actually our dream home because we went back a week later and totally changed everything. After that Austin, the project manager, came out to our site for an evaluation. He was very informative on the building process and what to expect. He was also very easy to talk to, nice, and patient with my many questions. He was hands on with assisting us in finishing up all of the final touches. Less than a month later, we are now waiting for all of the paper work to clear so we can begin building. This has been the smoothest process. If you're looking to build and want to save yourself some headache and hassle, I strongly suggest giving Jimmy a call. He and his entire team are amazing.
