American Windows & Siding

These guys did a fantastic job. We had them do our roof, all our windows and added new double doors. Everything (materials, labor and customer service) was perfect. We could not have asked for more.

American Windows & Siding was recommended by a neighbor, but my experience was not a positive one. When they installed a BRAND NEW patio door, they broke a window panel during installation. They promised to replace it quickly. They took full payment and didn't offer any financial compensation for the breakage. I had to initiate a follow-up 1 MONTH later. I expressed my concerns about the extreme delay and the lack of financial compensation for breaking something during the installation. My concerns were never acknowledged. The technician followed-up with an email stating that the panel was ready to be installed. I was told by the technician that the president of the company was reviewing my email. The panel was installed and I NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE AGAIN...no acknowledgement, no apology, no discount given. I suggest you go elsewhere.

Jack and his crew did not do bad. However, a part of my siding fell off. I called and sent them a letter to repair/replace the siding. The siding was replaced and my home looks great. THANKS!

Update: Although the siding was replaced, shouldn't there be a warranty where I am not charged? I just got the siding in around 3 years ago. I'm just saying.

Called and spoke to Gary in office over a week ago giving detailed info, etc about what I needed. Was promised an estimate later that evening via email. Two days go by and never hear from him. Called to follow up and he promised estimate next day. Never heard back from him or company.

Professional, no-nonsense, honest, accomadating, good communication. Will use them again. They installed 20+ storm windows with trim capping. Never tried to upsell to new windows, listened to our needs amd wants and gave me an honest assessment of my options with plusses and minuses. They also worked around some challenging landscaping, which we appreciated. Highly recommend

They arrived on time, provided a reasonable estimate while answering all our questions. The windows were installed on time and good quality. I would hire them again.

We worked initially with Gary. Our project was to add a window to a previously windowless wall, and replace the one window in the room with a larger window. Working with Gary was great, and they were efficient in getting things measured. Because of the pandemic it took several weeks for the windows to come in but once they were in the efficient and very nice crew installed them quickly. After installation we discovered one of the windows was flawed. Mike came and looked at it, and very quickly ordered a replacement. We love how the room looks now- my wife says it is totally transformed. And working with American Windows was great!

We worked primarily with Connor, Mike and Jack to have all the windows and doors replaced in our DC row home, as well as having our back doorway turned into a large bay window and former window turned into a doorway (substantial masonry work). We had a lot of questions about the masonry work beforehand, and both Connor and Mike came out to our house multiple times (once with the mason) prior to signing a contract to walk us through the process. Connor and Mike were incredibly patient and helpful as we went back and forth via email over a span of weeks to ensure that we were 100% confident in the products we ended up selecting (Sunrise Restoration windows, ProVia doors). Connor’s communication was consistently exceptional, we would always get a quick response to emails/texts/calls and were regularly updated on the status of our order (delayed due to COVID-19). Connor was even able to provide a long-term financing option at our request.

Once the products had arrived, Jack arranged our install dates and set expectations for the work. AWS showed up with a large crew of 10-12 workers who were all respectful, friendly and thoughtful as they maneuvered swiftly throughout our home. Connor and Jack were present to oversee a lot of the work, though the crew needed little direction. The speed at which the team operated was impressive, and the quality of the install did not suffer as a result. Although we had purchased inserts rather than full tear replacements, some of our window frames had deteriorated and AWS replaced the damaged wood frames without hesitation. Given the small size of our home, we weren’t able to get much done while the team was working but luckily my partner and I both had work off during the two install days.

During the installation we realized that one of the initial door measurements had been off, and Mike very kindly offered to order a correctly sized replacement door at no cost to us. A couple months after the initial install, Connor and Jack returned when the replacement door was ready and also inspected all the windows and doors to ensure that everything was perfect. I cannot overstate the level of dedication to customer satisfaction we experienced with AWS. As I said, this was not a small job and we could not be happier with the final outcome. Even when unexpected challenges arose along the way, Mike, Connor and Jack put our wants and needs first in determining the appropriate solution. AWS is a truly professional operation, and we’d highly recommend them to our family/friends/anyone considering new windows or doors.

I replaced my 65 year old front door and storm door with a custom Provia Heritage for $4150. Gary Tober was very communicative, provided the lowest quote I could find, there was no pressure to buy, and I'm very happy with my new door!

Mike Rogers (owner) took the call. After carefully listenning to what I wanted, he first took down all my contact information, and then started to steer me to something else and up selling. When I insisted on the kind of window I needed, he suddenly said that he had a multi-thousand dollar minimum and unless I agree, he won't do my job.
Outrageous and arrogant attitude from a stupid man. Very annoying experience.
