I am very pleased to have done business with American Contracting Direct. Initially I was going to repairs on my roof done by another company but it felt like I was placed on the side. By chance I met Austin W. and he offered a inspection and said they would be happy to help to get this taken care of quicker and more efficiently. It was the best decision I made hands down. Best customer service, fast and seamless. I would absolutely recommend anyone to use this company.

After a severe Midwest storm caused damage to our house, we called American Contracting to inspect our roof. They exhibited professionalism in their approach and provided clear, detailed explanations. We appreciated their exceptional service, which made a potentially stressful situation easy to manage. We are thrilled with the appearance of our new roof and gutters.

American Contracting Direct was a great company to work with. Jack was beyond knowledgeable and was always available to answer any questions. He did all the leg work with the insurance company and even provided knowledge about that process. Would absolutely recommend!!

Josh L and his team did a lot of work and did it quickly. They replaced all our decking and shingles in one day which was (loud.. lol) but terrific we only had the mess for one day. They came back another day for the gutters but it all went smoothly. I really appreciated that he was so organized with getting us information and being persistent with our insurance (there was some kind of wrinkle, but he got it ironed out) and overall we've been happy with the work done.

I am amazed at the positive reviews. My experience is much different. I would not recommend this company for anything. The roofing crew they hired to replace the roof did a sloppy job and did a lot of damage to the house. Because they sub-contract the work they didn't seem to have any over site on the job. Now there is a problem with some of the singles. I have notified them of the problem over 2 weeks ago and I have no idea when they will fix it. Once they have the money they are not so interested in the customer.

Josh and Tom are amazing. They take care of everything and know how to do customer service right. They took me through every step of the process and helped with the insurance wouldn't go with anybody else!

Yemeda Grayson has been great to work with. He got insurance to approve a full replacement of roof and gutters when the other place gave up. Strongly recommend using American contracting and ask for yemeda he will get you taken care of.

Josh L. & The American Contracting Team- Did a great job! My home was one of the first house’s in the neighborhood to get my roof put on after the big hail storm. The job was completed a month ago that got it all done in one day! As I am writing this review I can hear neighbors roofs being put on an entire month after my roof was completed. Yemeda Grayson has been amazing to work with!! When the insurance company only wanted to pay for a small portion of the roof Yemeda went back to them with findings, code rules, and product information and got insurance to rightly pay for the entire roof. He is very knowledgeable, communicative, and responsive to our questions. I definitely recommend him to be the one who comes out and checks your home for any possible storm damage.

I recently had roof damage from high winds. I was referred to Josh Landis by a friend. Josh inspected my roof on the same day and referred me to someone for repairs (no tarping needed and minor repairs only). He went out of his way to help us. Josh was awesome to work with

We enjoyed working with Josh Landis as our Project Manager with American Contracting. Josh is our favorite project manager we have ever had. He was on top of it! We felt we could trust him and he did a nice job completing our project. He has a lot of knowledge in this business and was very helpful anytime we had questions. He was easy to reach and kept honest and open communication. We are so thankful for all of Josh's work and support to us during our project. A job well done!

Billy Mundy was an amazing help and got my roof done fast. I am grateful for his teams hard work!

Work was put off for several weeks. Then once they actually started they did not have enough material and left most of the back of my home exposed. For another several weeks before coming back to finish. They removed all fastenings off my house including my cable, lights and outlets. Once they were “done” and started the billing process NONE of these things were reattached to my home at the time. We had to wait ANOTHER several weeks for clearly under qualified workers to come back AGAIN to actually finish their job. Not only were these thing left undone but exposed wires and holes in the siding during rain and other unfavorable weather. Not only were my fixtures AND receptacles off, they were gone. They NEVER reattached my cables, I had to call my internet provider to come do that and replace most of it.
They did buy me a new light fixture that I picked out from Home Depot. Whole sections of siding not properly fastened. Do not recommend. Did not like. Would never use again. End result as far as looks goes is fine enough.

Jack at American Contractors was the best! He took care of contacting my insurance, giving invoces, and setting every thing up! I'm a senior and was a little apprehensive but I couldn't have had a better experience! The crews that did my beautiful roof and gorgeous gutters could not have been more professional and nice. Clean up was amazing. They were very thorough with everything! Can't recommend or thank this company enough!

I can’t thank Mr. Billy Mundy enough for all the time and effort he put into helping me get my roof replaced. He went above and beyond to insure that I got the coverage I deserved. He is very knowledgeable and dependable! I highly recommend him as a contractor!

Billy and his team did a great job on my two of my rentals. With him and his team, I really didn’t have to do much. After the initial contact with my insurance they were able to work with them to get everything done and for the most part paid for.

Billy Mundy has proven himself time an again with his knowledge, dedication and professionalism. I highly recommend Billy and American Contracting. Billy has assisted me with my recent roofing claim and due to an unforeseen situation with my insurance adjuster Billy has gone that extra mile to get my claim acknowledged and processed. I sincerely appreciate all the honesty an hard work Billy has given my claim.

I want to be clear that our project was completed & we do not feel like there was any dishonesty with our investment/insurance coverage- hence the 2 stars. However, our customer service experience was just really, really poor... and honestly a little bizarre.

Extreme lack of communication, huge project delays with no explanation, & sub-par work have left us kind of shaken. Our roof replacement took FAR longer than what we were told or what any normal roofing project would take. They would disappear for days or weeks at a time with no explanation. Our yard/house was left a mess with rusty nails & trash that we ended up cleaning up ourselves. A forgotten pile of materials left in our driveway for weeks... maybe months. We called a few times to let them know. Our point of contact was really kind, so we kind of just trusted him throughout the process, but eventually started to realize that things weren't adding up. It almost seemed like our paperwork got misplaced somewhere along the way & they kind of forgot about us. I could go into further detail, but this essentially sums it up.

Not necessarily a sketchy or dishonest company. Sadly, just really poor service, communication, and craftsmanship.

Told the representative im not interested at this time.
Doorbell rang again, said not interested closed door for 2nd time. Then he began knocking on door.

Guess he wanted to do free roof inspection so he could start lifting tiles loose or something.

If and when i need roof repair or replacement i will be sure not to use this company.

American Contracting did a fabulous job on my roof and gutters! Hunter Vasquez handled the entire process from start to finish with the insurance company who was dragging their feet in paying the claim. Hunter was fabulous to work with! I highly recommend American Contracting and Hunter!

Provided detailed answers to all my questions, very responsive, and they did exactly what they said they would do. Josh Landis helped me and was even willing to come back to check something on my roof a few weeks after the install was done.

Jacob Runer helped me with my roof replacement from start to finish. Not only was he great to work with, I got to know him along the way and he’s a really great person and family man that I trust. He made the experience so easy for me, all I had to do was pick out the colors. He was happy and quick to answer all the questions I had. I definitely would recommend him, he knows what he’s doing and gets the job done with no stress to the customer!

Just had a man at my door from this company. We have a no soliciting sign and when I asked if he saw the sign(next to our doorbell) he argued with me that he was not soliciting. Very rude and wouldn’t give up when I said no multiple times. This was done to my 75 year old grandmother a few weeks ago at her residence also.

First, Dalton is one of the friendliest guys you'll meet. He's personable, knowledgeable, and communicates well regarding project timelines. Dalton made everything so easy, from handling all the insurance correspondence to reading through our HOA bylaws to make sure the roofing materials we chose met the requirements. I would definitely recommend American Contracting and, specifically, Dalton to handle your roofing repair.

Worked with Jacob on getting the roof of my house redone. He went above and beyond with his help and assistance with all of my questions. The process for replacing our roof was one of the most simple I have experienced. Dalton did all the work and explained everything exactly as it happened. He was communicative and available anytime I reached out to him. In a very short period of time we had a new roof covered by our homeowner’s insurance.

American Contracting helped me navigate the process of installing a new roof and gutters on my home after a storm rolled through. Perry was a dream to work with and helped every step of the way. I contracted my roof replacement to American Contracting Direct and do not regret it for one second. Jacob walked me through the process as this was my first ever insurance claim and answered all my questions. Once we got the green light from the insurance company, Jacob's timeline only needed to be modified due to rain. His crew completed the roof work in less than a day and I've had no roof issues since replacement. During the entire process, I never felt like just a number. I was treated respectfully and professionally and would recommend American Contracting to anyone! Great company!!!

We had a great experience with American contracting Direct doing our roof, and window trim after a storm/ wind , and hail damage. Josh was the main contact, he was very informative, and helpful in coordinating with our Insurance, respectful of a scheduleing issue, overseeing the work, informed the labor of special plants we wanted protected and emphasizing the importance of cleaning up nails and debris has we have a licensed daycare in our home, when the job was completed he walked through with my husband making sure all was done to our expectations, we referred American Contracting to our neighbors and American Contracting gave us a gift card as a Thank you.

Michael Burns came out immediately when I called the company. He did a thorough walk-through with myself and my Trustee. He pointed out and explained points of interest and explained their implications. Michael also worked as liaison with our insurance company. He was always pleasant and on time.

Fantastic experience! Josh was great to work with, responsive, professional and very knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend American Contracting and Josh as the Project Manager! The crew was great too. 100 degrees outside, probably 120 in the roof, but they replaced the roof all in 1 day.

I recently had my roof and gutters done by American Contracting. I am BEYOND satisfied with the overall experience. The roof looks amazing. I worked with Derek and Jack and honestly there are not better employees than them! Any question I had Jack and Derek were there to answer. I also really appreciate the professionalism all employees I came in contact with had. My yard was cleaned up with such efficiency afterwards. We had some time set backs with weather, and I felt good about how Josh communicated readjusting the schedule.

The whole crew was efficient, friendly, and cleaned the area up well after they finished.

Jack Clark was there from the begginning until the end. Very knowledgable. Very Courteous. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and set my mothers mind at ease. He would let me know the time frame. I had roof and siding. They put a roof on my 2 car garage and my house in a day.AMAZING!! Through every phase, he would make sure that we were satisfied and gave us the opportunity to revise anything that was awry but the quality and professionalism didnt allow for ANYTHING but quality. The company is on top of the whole thing and Jack Clark is a great representative of thisfaction. BRAVO!!!

I am very happy with the roof and gutters. All materials were cleaned up afterwards. The workers were all polite and professional. I highly recommend Charles and American Contracting.

Got trust issues? I do! Derek and Daniel put all those issues behind me with my new roof replacement. I'm one that has mostly relied on myself, as well an very blessed with close friends to do work and trust isn't even an issue. I can't tell you the anxiety i get over what is gonna suddenly come up that is gonna cost or corners that will be cut and so on. Not with Derek and Dan, everything that was discussed did not change later, promises were kept, challenges were addressed immediately and transparently. Plus, honest! Dishonest roofers have done such a disservice to good hardworking roofers that are out there like them. If you've been hesitant to look into your roof because of the dishonest ones out there.... Give Derek and Daniel a shot. It will be worth it. Plus they do it all! Hardest thing i had to do was clear a spot on the couch for them to go over everything.

We recently finished up a new roof installation using American Contracting and couldn’t be happier with our experience! Josh, our contact through the entire process, was very helpful and easy to work with. The installations was quick and well done, Josh even came out to roller the yard to try and get any debris the installers missed. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.

Josh was very courteous and honest! We ended up not needing any repairs at this time and he was upfront with that information! I recently had my roof replaced but lost my furnace cover this past weekend due to strong winds. Contacted Tony and they came out and replaced the cover..looks super! There guys do exceptional work and I highly recommend them!

From the moment we met John Landis, we knew we had chosen a roofing contractor well. We arranged a meeting with him where he presented a professional-level folder in which he had assembled materials that would answer almost every question we had and even a few we hadn't thought of. He even put a small sticker in the folder across from his business card detailing how to file the initial claim which also served as a place to record the claim number, the adjuster's name and phone number, and the date and time of the adjuster's visit.. One of the assembled materials began with a detailed list of questions that every homeowner should ask a contractor which was followed by a Certificate of Liability Insurance withproof of Worker's Compensation coverage (important in case workers fall from your roof), Certificates of Registration as a Roofing Contractor for both Kansas and Missouri, an EPA Certification for conducting lead-based paint renovation, repair and painting activities. All these were current for 2021. There was even a Technical Bulletin on Hail Damage. He also created a page on the entire process that he went over with us before we agreed to the work. Josh Landis explained that he would contact our homeowner;s insurance after the called-in the initial claim, and keep us updated as to how the negotiations were going, and he kept that promise. We had no hassles or worries. He had even included a form that we could use to cancel the project before work began (at no obligation to us).
He then examined our roof at no cost to us, taking photos of hail damage from last summer's hail storm. He showed them to us and explained what each example of damage was and where it was located. He submitted a report and photos to our insurance company; and, after seeing the photos, it sent out an adjuster to re-inspect the roof to verify Josh's findings. The adjuster said he had rarely seen such a thorough presentation and agreed on the spot the we could be entitled to repairs. Josh handled the process just as promised and now we have a roof we believe will last another 40 years.
The crew did an excellent job removing two layers of roofing, repairing any weak areas before putting up the layers of protection, including water and ice proofing and the new shingles.. They also replaced vents and flashing around our chimney. Josh had brought out two books of shingles from which we could chose the color scheme we wanted from a first-rate shingle manufacturer. (Yes, we went on online and double-checked the quality of the manufacturer, the warranty, and quality of product.). The crew did a wonderful job of cleaning up our yard and driveway from debris - even using a magnetic roller to pick up any nails that might have fallen to the ground from the removal and replacement of shingles. Josh came back after the job was completed to double-check the clean-up.The amazing thing was that we did not have to pay our deductible until we were completely satisfied with the project! Josh lets you know exactly what to expect as regards to when the insurance company pays and finalizes the job. Then, and only then, does the homeowner have to pay their insurance deductible.

We were not the only ones impressed with how American Contracting.handled this project. One of our neighbors listened to our account of how Josh represented American Contracting and asked Josh to check their roof and gutters. He did and now they have a new roof and gutter system covered by their insurance. They are as happy as we are with the process and the results.

If you want a roofing contractor that takes your project seriously, keeps promises, and keeps you updated on the process, then you should contact American Contracting, and ask for a free evaluation of roof damage by Project Manager Josh Landis. That a company hires and retains such honest, and dedicated managers speaks well of the entire firm.

Josh was attentive to detail, took time to walk through the process of working with insurance (handled just about all of it himself), while my roof was being worked on he was available to answer questions as I had them.

From looking over the work, it was well done and certainly my wife and I picked a good contractor who cares about their quality of work and cares about ensuring they have the work done right.

This company provided a replacement roof/gutters from hail damage and though the experience is never a 'fun' project, the General Manager, Dereck Norman was great to work with. Very on top of everything letting me know the steps along the way that would occur and the finished project turned out great! Would recommend to anyone!

Very few things are easy anymore. But contacting Josh Landis at American Contracting is as easy as it gets. I contacted Josh, explained I had a 20+ year old roof that leaks. Josh came and examined my roof, took pictures, measured, and contacted our insurance company. Within 10 days all was set. New roof , no hassle no problems. Job was done in 1 day. Professional crew, timely, and respected my property. How awesome is that. Literally, all I had to do was inform Josh. And write out a check at my convenience. Josh did Everything!!! GREAT JOB GUYS! The house looks great with the new roof and gutters, more importantly we have peace of mind and finally one less worry. We met with dereck Norman on a Saturday and 2 weeks later the job is complete. The best part is Dereck took care of basically everything from the inspection to the meeting with insurance and even the red tape with the mortgage company. Truly and throughly took care of us from start to finish.Dereck Norman made this an easy process and oversaw the work as it went along. Took less time than I expected considering the size and pitch of our roof, cleaned up everything after and left some areas looking better than before they arrived. Highly recommend them to anyone i know for the professional service they provide.

Just had my roof done by American Contracting and I would highly recommend. The experience was easy and the work was done very quickly. I had William Dallin as my project manager and he was fantastic! Extremely responsive and was quite informative.

I have always been suspicious of "roof inspectors" who come around to inspect your roof; however, Jacob Runer exploded that suspicion, I ran into Jacob in my neighborhood as he was inspecting a neighbor's roof. I stopped because I thought he was the neighbor's husband whom I had never met. Jacob explained what he was doing and said he would be glad to inspect our roof; no obligation. That inspection did show damage which Jacob documented. I notified my insurance company and they concluded my roof was a complete replacement. Jacob explained what would happen all through the replacement process. The work was done professionally, politely, and in a timely manner. Our yard was not damaged and everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. I highly recommend Jacob Runer and the company he represents.
