America 1st Roofing & Builders, Inc - Sherwood, OR

I am writing this review in hopes that the company will address and resolve the issues I have encountered. My experience with this company has been extremely stressful and has negatively impacted my mental health. I believe this matter can be resolved with proper communication and professional conduct.

I have experienced significant issues with the quality of work provided. My brand new house developed a leak within two years—typically, roof shingles should last for 40 years, but it appears that the shingles used are of the lowest quality, lasting only five years. Additionally, the workmanship was poor, with multiple installations done improperly. The builder called the company to fix the issue, and the technician assured me it was covered under warranty, failing to mention any charges. The leak was due to incorrect installation, where a nail was improperly placed.

To my shock, five months later, I received a past due bill for over $350. This is particularly upsetting given that the problem was due to the company’s faulty work. I have tried to resolve this issue, but the company has been unresponsive, and some employees have been quite rude.

I urge the company to address this situation promptly. I am looking for a resolution that includes the withdrawal of the unfair charge and a commitment to improved service and communication. I believe in giving companies a chance to correct their mistakes, and I hope this review encourages a swift and fair resolution.
