I’m putting out a recommendation for Higgins Home Construction because I know how hard it can be to find excellent, honest, competent contractors. Mike and his crew recently remodeled my kitchen and I am over the moon with how it turned out. Mike is very good at communicating and fulfilling his responsibilities of scheduling, coordinating, commitment to excellence and honoring his clients wishes. His crew is as respectful, skilled, and hard working. They never left a single day without cleaning up and making sure we could get around and that we knew when they were coming back. I can’t recommend them more and will have them back for future projects.

Michael and his team were wonderful to work with. They were timely, communicative, skilled, and responsive. We enjoyed interacting with each member of his team and are very satisfied with the final results of the project. We'll definitely reach out to Higgins Construction again for our next home project.

Working with Higgins Home Construction was a great experience! They provided great customer service from everyone in the office to everyone in the field. I’ve worked with several other contractors in the past three years and had bad experiences with all of them. So, I kept on looking for a new contractor. Our family was lucky we found this company and we are extremely satisfied with the work they provided. They are great at communicating and stand by their work! If anyone needs work done on your home, then try these guys out. We already decided to ask them to work on our next home project and we look forward to working with them again.

Easy scheduling, punctual crews and really responsive. The owner came by after project completion to make sure everything was up to standard. There was one small thing left (some caulking) and he promptly had some one come out and make it right. I'd use them again for sure.

We had our spa tub removed by Higgins. They arrived on time, were very professional doing the job. Before leaving they put Ram Board on the floor to protect it. They cleaned up after themselves. Next, they put up new sheet rock and the gentleman who came out worked "magic" with the texturing-the best job of blending that I've ever seen. We were very satisfied with the work that they did. Michael and Andrea were wonderful to work with. My husband was the Specifications Writer for ODOT and was very impressed with how Michael wrote up his proposal. It was very easy to understand.
I would give Higgins a 10 if I could. But have and will continue to recommend them to anyone who needs some work done.

We have been so excited to leave this review for Higgins Home Construction. From the first contact, to the pre demo status updates all the way through to the completion of our big remodel, everyone at Higgins Home Constructions has been absolutely superb to work with! My wife is a Designer and she was thoroughly impressed with the communication, check ins, quality of work, excellence in the crew, quick responses from the Office Manager and the overall joy this process has been. By far, Higgins Home Construction was the BEST experience we've had with contractors/remodelers over the past 30 years with various homes. They were professional, friendly, clean and VERY detail oriented. What a fabulous combination and company to work with!

We asked Higgins to replace our 20 year old fiberglass shower/tub combo with a new Kohler Sterling equivalent in our 1700SF Newberg home. They inspected the job and gave us a prompt detailed quote that was a good value and honest pricing. We said "go" and scheduled the work. Higgins showed up on schedule. Completed on schedule. No cost over-runs. Did excellent quality work. Very good communication. It went so well we may do bathroom #2 but keep with a tub/shower combo. Cost without shower doors (prefer curtains) was ~$6K which was better than other quotes we received

My wife and I hired Higgins Home Construction LLC (HHC) for a big remodel of our house.

They put in new flooring, remodeled the bathrooms, installed cabinets, repaired rotting posts, and much more.

We are absolutely amazed by the craftsmanship of HHC! Everything was completed to our 100% satisfaction. We didn't need to ask for anyone to come back to fix something that was missed. We will be using HHC again in the future.

The owner of the company was also working on the project and giving great updates whenever we needed them.

Higgins Home Construction (Michael Higgins, owner) remodeled our bathroom and installed a tankless hot-water heater in early 2024. We highly recommend Higgins Home Construction and submit a 5-Star rating for the following reasons:
1. Due diligence during the bid-estimate process. Higgins had more contractors look at the project prior to entering a bid so that we had greater confidence the bid represented a true value of what was necessary to complete the project.
2. Excellent communication. Michael Higgins sought and acted on our input about critical aspects of the project. He answered all our questions and kept us informed, throughout the entire project, about who, what, when, and where actions would occur.
3. Quality work. Higgins staff and sub-contractors were excellent and all work was completed in a timely manner. Of note, the tile work in the bathroom was of true craftsman quality.
4. Follow through. Any new action items were expeditiously completed.

I'm sure that the job they did was relatively small, compared to what they normally do, but still treated me AND the job professionally! On time, done on time and cleanup was great. I'm SO happy with my barn door! Thank you for being so prompt and courteous! 10/10 would recommend!

Michael and crew did a great job fixing our bathroom floor and dining room ceiling, that was damaged from a leaking toilet. Michael was courteous, punctual, and very detail oriented. The bid was up front and there was no variance. The pattern of the bathroom floor was off a hair, but that was a different worker, and it wasn’t enough to not recommend Michael and his crew highly. They also completed the job within about a week, quicker than the 3 week projected time.

Michael did an amazing job on our guest bathroom floor tile. He was very communicative from start to finish and considerate of our time. He took great care in the planning and layout. He also asked the right questions to ensure a quality job that met and then exceeded our expectations. He's definitely one of the good ones out there operating with integrity and follow through and deserves the recommendation. We hope to use him again in the future.

Choosing a contractor for a home remodel is a critical step in determining the overall success of your project. We relied on recommendations from friends and neighbors and are very glad we chose Higgins. The work was completed on schedule and came out beautiful. There were no unexpected, surprise charges. Micheal and Jayden are easy to work with. They are neat, clean up after themselves, and respect our time and privacy. We highly recommend them for any of your remodeling needs.

Michael Higgins repaired our siding in preparation for house painting. He came highly recommended and did a great job. He was knowledgeable, thorough, punctual, and communicated every aspect of the job, including why he had to expand the work order when hidden damage was uncovered. We'll definitely use Higgins Home Construction again!

Michael was very responsive and professional. He was punctual and communicated with us very well, keeping us updated at all times. We had water damage from a roof leak and he replaced the sheetrock, insulation, crown moulding and matched the textures and paint flawlessly - not an easy task as I had a mix of paints on the walls. I highly recommend him for your project and won't hesitate to use him again.

I have been very pleased with the work and attention to detail from our recent whole-house floor remodel done by Higgins Home Construction. They listened to our every concern and went above and beyond to meet our expectations, often coming back to address changes we requested after a section had been considered done. Higgins Home Construction was professional, safe, and kept me informed on the status of the project from the initial bid, material procurement, to install day. There was a long lead time on the new window, but they did not forget about our project.
