Quality work, reasonable prices! Jimmy Porter was our salesman and has taken care of our requests to perfection. We had a front post replaced, gutter installed & replaced a chimney cap. We’ve used them twice & will use them again should something else comes up.

I have several rental properties in the area and one of my properties roof was damaged by a recent wind storm. I called Allen home improvement and they were out the next morning. They provided me with a great quote to fix the damage considering the company I used to use tried to take advantage of the wind storm and up charge for the work. Allen home improvement did a fantastic job repairing the roof and in a timely manner. Will definitely recommend and will be using their service’s from now on for all my properties in the Louisville, KY area.

I had all my windows replaced in the fall. They were in really bad shape. From coming for an estimate to the last window, these guys were awesome! They were professional and helpful throughout the whole thing. Asked several times throughout the process to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. I will be using them again in the future!

Great customer service! AHI was able to identify the problems with my old gutters and replace them with a more effective gutter and spout system that also looks great. Pricing was also very reasonable.

Allen Home Improvement replaced the windows in our home. They were our most affordable estimate. The salesman, Jimmy Porter, was top notch. He was informative, friendly, and patient with our long list of questions. Our replacement windows are so nice! We had to wait about 6 weeks from order for installation but they kept us updated along the way.

The installation team was polite, fast, informative, they were friendly to our dog and made sure we understood how to properly open, close, and clean the new windows. We had a great experience with this business!

Repairs were done on my roof 3 years ago and I've had problems ever since (flashing around the chimney has continually leaked and shingles were not secured properly). I've followed up and received call backs from secretary (Becky), but every time she goes to confirm with Greg-- no call back. I've decided to look elsewhere due to poor communication. This company will not receive my business in the future.

For approximately 8 years, I have dealt with Allen Roofing. On 4 occasions, Allen Roofing repaired my old roof (installed by a different company). Recently, Allen Roofing installed a new roof on our home.

Based on my 8 year experiences dealing with Allen Roofing, I feel comfortable giving them my highest recommendation based on the quality of their work, the honesty of the owner Greg Allen, and the professionalism of the staff and installers. Becky at the office Is pleasant to talk with and Daniel the foreman of the roofers is highly skilled, knows what he is doing and takes pride in his work.

Allen Roofing does outstanding work, their pricing is very reasonable, and the owner Greg Allen is honorable and you can believe what he says. I totally recommend this company and would rate them as AAA plus.

They came in did a good job and offered some discounts. I had two minor issues afterwards and they addressed them and fixed them. They also left me some paint to match up with the outside trim.

Had my vinyl siding and gutters and trim replaced job was done in a timely manner and looks great !

We are very pleased with the work completed by Allen Home Improvement. We needed to have our garage opening wrap replaced. The tech was on time, polite, and professional. The workmanship was excellent and the tech cleaned up the work space when he finished.

I was having gutters and guards installed on a house in St Matthews. There was no wood replacement in the bid, however when the installer realized that a section needed replacement, he did it without additional charge or delay on waiting to get a hold of me.

Recently had my roof replaced due to wind damage. Heard of Allen home improvement through my work, contacted sales rep Mr Porter for an estimate. I was extremely please with his attention to detail and the way he worked with the insurance agency to replace my roof. The team showed up on time, were diligent and efficent in completing the job. Any needs or questions I had, I would contact mr porter. He would always take my call and would address those needs. I would recommend allen home improvement and mr porter to anyone.

Allen done siding work for me. I had an estimate done in July and you would of thought that because it took until October to get it done that I would of went somewhere else, but I didn’t and I’m glad I didn’t. They did a good job and I know I was persistent and Mrs. Becky know my voice by hard. But if I need work in the future they will be who I call. I just hope it will be a little quicker. They Rock! A picture say a lot. I wish I could show the end results.

I needed to get new gutters on my home and garage. Charlie was the guy who helped me and came out to measure and pick colors. He was not pushy but explained the benefits of bigger gutters and why they were worth it. He also made an extra trip out when I decided to pick a new color to paint the gutters with no issue. The gutters look fantastic now and I couldn't have been more pleased!

I recently had Allen Home Improvement do an apartment building roof for our rental business this summer. They were amazing. They worked with my insurance company. When they discovered our insurance company had given us our estimate, they had figured for the wrong kind of vents. Allen's office ladies dealt with the insurance company to have it corrected so that the insurance covered the amount for the correct vents. I'm keeping their contact info for future use. Allen Home Improvement has replaced 2 roofs on the apartment buildings and did a great job. They were quick, neat and reasonably priced. Our apartment community using them for roofs, window replacements and gutter repairs. They are always quick to respond to issues and fix things correctly. I needed a new roof and called for estimates. Allen Home Improvement was quick and courteous. Their quote was the Best. They are family owned and local. I received a sample book to pick out the shingles that I wanted. It was so easy and lots to pick from. Greg himself showed up before the job began to greet us and introduce himself. His crew got right to work, finished and cleaned up their stuff. I am beyond happy with my new roof and how it looks on my house. I had the best of experiences with this company, from inspecting my roof to see if I had an insurance claim, to it's completion. I was promptly told that I had a valid claim with wind damage to my shingles . I called my insurance company. As soon as I was approved, I had samples and Greg even took time with me on the phone (at my convenience) to answer my questions! My shingles were ordered, and in just a few days I was told they would be replacing my roof the next day. Everything was done quickly and cleanup was better than expected! Great company! I needed a whole new roof before I could list my house to sell. These guys/gals were so helpful and came out to assess promptly. The gentleman that did the estimation was professional, courteous, and kindly helped me make an informed decision on what would help me with my house sell. I was so pleasantly surprised when I got my quote and it was $1000 UNDER my next lowest quote! They even came out within the same week and finished the job in an afternoon (small house). My yard and driveway were clean of any debris or nails and the finished product was well above my expectations.

I sent in my approved quote and it took 4 months before work even started. I was told that it would take about 4 weeks. This can be an issue for anyone that needs to do financing or borrow money.

Also: I had to go out every evening and pick up screws and nails once work did start so my dog and I didn't step on them, and so I didn't drive on the ones left in my driveway. The photo is an example of one day's worth of picking up nails/screws (I had to do this at least 4 different days with an equal amount of nails/screws each time).

To be fair, the siding and gutters look good and seem to work well (two weeks in). The rigid backing on the siding is nice and does seem to reduce noise pollution some. There's just a bit of hassle getting there.

Allen Home Improvement did some work for me many years ago when I lived in Louisville. I remember being very satisfied, so when I needed a new roof after moving to So. IN, I called Greg Allen who is the son of the original owner. I was not disappointed! Same great customer service and work ethic. After making an appointment for an estimate, they were able schedule to replace my roof within a reasonable amount of time especially since it was storm season and so many people needed emergency repairs. Greg stayed in contact with me and asked if it was okay to push it back a bit due to the storms. I didn't mind since I needed a full replacement roof because it was old but not urgent. His crew showed up early in the morning and when they were finished, with the exception of a beautiful new roof, couldn't tell anyone had been there as they cleaned up so thoroughly. I needed a little extra work due to some rotting boards, so the crew leader called Greg to come back to the site to get his direction and show me the problem. The options were explained to me in away I could understand, and I was told exactly how much it would cost. Hopefully, I won't need them again for a while (at least for a roof) but wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend to my neighbors, friends and family.

FOUR OR FIVE YEARS AGO I USED ALLEN HOME AND IMPROVEMENT AND ROOFING INC, TO GET A NEW ROOF AND GUTTERS FROM STORM DAMAGE, THEY WERE VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL , AND TO MY SURPRISE AFTER WE SET UP AN APPOINTMENT THEY CALLED AND WERE ABLE TO GET TO MY JOB TWO DAYS EARLIER, THAT WAS QUITE NICE , ABOUT TWO YEARS LATER , ONE OF MY GUTTERS STARTED LEAKING IN THE CORNER, SO I CALLED THEM, AGIN, THEY WERE JOHNNY ON THE SPOT, IN A COUPLE DAYS,, NOT ONLY DID THEY FIX AND SEAL MY LEAKING CORNER ON MY GUTTER, THEY INSPECTED ALL OF MY CORNERS AND AND FIXED AND SEALED THEM TOO, THESE GUYS ARE GOOD , I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE

Have used Allen several times for things like roofing, gutter guards, gutter repairs and they have always done a great job and for a fair price. I have referred other folks to them and they had similar experiences. On top of that, the staff and workers have always been courteous and friendly.

I have worked with Allen Home Improvement on 2 separate occasions. The first was back in 2015 when they did our entire roof. Greg was very helpful and got the work done within the week. We were so happy with the job and professionalism that we hired them again to do our siding in 2018. Again, I was impressed with the skill level and professionalism. We had our house appraised after the work was done and the appraiser asked for the siding information because she was so impressed.

We were replacing 30 year old gutters. Our house is not large house , so this was a small job. In today’s economy A lot of service providers do not do small jobs. For they do not have enough workers and would like higher paying jobs.
A representative of Allen Home ( James Porter) actually showed on time up for the initial Appointment for the estimate. Estimate was presented on time. (More than once , I have had companies never give me an estimate after coming out. No call , email or anything!)
As for install, it was scheduled within a week of accepting the bid. The install representive showed up on time and completed the whole job in one day. He was respectful and did not look like he was a day laborer. The site was clean afterwards and the old gutters were removed.
When looking at home improvement companies, price should not be the only deciding factor.
Please consider the items above along with the price. When spending hard earned cash, put it were you get the best use of it.

Paid $25,000 for a roof, and a year later our attic is filled with squirrels. We're now three years in, and have paid several times to have them removed as no access was found. Finally, two exterminators located that the front roof shines were never adhered, allowing the animals to eat from the center of the unattached shingle to the interior of our home. The owner Greg could care less, he got his 25k and paying a few hundred to fix it is too much. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. Our lifetime guarantee, meant NOTHING.

I paid approximately $3500 for the roof to be extended out over the deck. I was told "it would look like it has always been there". I explicitly expressed I wanted the shingles to match. That's not what I got. Apparently the "pitch" had to be changed and shingles could not be used. I am not an expert on roofing terminology so I am stuck looking at something I paid full price for that is hideous and does not meet my expectations. From what I can see, I guess the rest of the roof is okay.

Amazing company. The owner is exceptional and makes sure the work is great quality for the best price. His employees are very hard workers and on time and fast. I love that it is a family business. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and often do.
