The water company notified me that I had a service line leak on my side of the meter on a Monday. I called Rhonda at Al Mariano’s on Tuesday morning and had a quote from Mark before noon. The following day Mark and Andrew showed up and had my water problem fixed by the end of the day. Service like that is hard to beat. Many thanks to Al Marino and staff for a job well done!

We were pleased with the time it took 4 someone to come to fix our plumbing problem. The 2 men who came were so nice & explained everything about our options, etc.

Make sure you ask for Mark. Did a great job?I had a lot of work to be done and he did it all in a respectable time frame. He went above and beyond.

My initial call on a Saturday morning was terrible. The guy I talked to was almost understandable. When he spelled my name back to me it was T like in Tango and on. I had no idea what he was doing. All other conversations with two different women were well done

Andrew and Mark were very knowledgeable and ready to get to work. They made quick work of the 2 repairs and went above and beyond to make sure the job was complete.

Technician was here for two hours. In those two hours, I had to repeat multiple times what I wanted (a new electrical line ran), and the technician insisted it wasn't necessary, even though the wire had previously shorted by a metal screw which probably stripped the insulation. Currently there is a box in the wall and wires are run to the outlet from the attic to the breaker box, and the tech wanted to drill another hole through the wall. Got the feeling that the tech just didn't want to put forth the effort to go in the attic and look for the wire and/or install the wire correctly

So I had a two technicians from Al Marino come out Mike and Adam. They were absolutely great! I recommend these technicians to anyone because it came down seen the problem. Told him what I needed to do to fix the problem and they’re gonna come and fix it as soon as possible And they just know what you’re doing. They are straight honest forward with it. I like it we need more guys like these in the world.

Andrew went above and beyond since the job was much more complicated than expected because my house is so convoluted! Well done!

Would give a no star if possible. This company tried to sell me a commercial hot water tank for a residential house that was just going to cost $2,500 just for the tank. Wanted $8,900 for a hot water tank and a few other simple repairs. Got another quote from a local business which did the same thing for $2,200. Just mind blowing this place is in business with how much they are trying to charge and screw over people. Definitely would not recommend to anyone unless you’re a millionaire.

Could not be more HAPPY ! AL MARINO answers the phone and returns calls , unlike three other companies I called . The plumber( Andrew )showed up on time ,was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. If you are in need of a plumber call Al Marino first .

Would not use again, charged me a fee (79)to check out attic fans, once here then asked for 450 dollars to check out the fans ??? I asked the lady on the phone at least twice if the 79 covered checking out the fans. I paid the 79 fee but will not use again feeling very ripped off

I would leave negative stars if I could. Showed up on a Friday to fix a busted water line and a clogged drain. Charged $900 to cap off the line and fix the clog. The clog wasn’t fixable that day so they had to come back. Quoted us $1300 to fix the busted water line and get the kitchen sink working again as well as fixing the clogged drain. Paid a total of $2600. Less than a week later we are having the same drainage backup issue plus additional issues. 1000/10 would never recommend. They will nickel and dime you putting band aids ion the issue versus actually fixing the problem. Also left a wide open hole in my drywall where an access panel was supposed to go, that was also included in the quote.

Extremely pleased with service and technicians cleaning drains. Andrew and Blake were professional and polite. Would definitely recommend and use Marinos again.

Called spoke with a gentleman gave him all my info explained to him what I could. Told him it was an insurance claim and that I needed an estimate. He said he won’t do estimates that he will just come do the job and it would be very expensive cause it’s a Saturday. I don’t feel as if he wanted the business at all. He straight up told me he can’t help me. Will never contact again for any reason.

My elderly mother called Al Marino to get an estimate on replacing her water lines on a mobile home. The guy showed up and quoted her the absurd price of $6500. He told her that her shut off valve outside was broken and that he could come back the following Monday and replace the valve and that would give her time to consider their estimate. He came back Monday and said he was there to replace her outdoor water valve. Very simple and easy to get to job. Would’ve taken all of 5 or 10 minutes and he told her it would be $900 to change a simple shut off valve and that he had included a $100 discount. I spoke up and told her how ridiculous that price was and that I would just do it myself. Earlier that day another company in the area had stopped by to give her and estimate on a complete waterline replacement and their price was $3098.00 using the exact same type of pipe. Marion’s guy spent a total of 10 minutes at her house and both times he was already driving by. When she refused to pay the $900 to replace the water shut off valve, he handed her a bill for $300. I replaced the shut off valve myself and it cost about $30 bucks and took 45 minutes total and that included a 25 minute trip to Lowe’s. Total extortion!

Excellent, professional service on my HVAC unit. Preventative service gives me confidence that my air conditioner will work this summer. I trust Mark and Al Marino.

Mark was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He was able to figure out my problem very quickly and actually showed me what was going on in my breaker box.

The office staff and the electrician were excellent. All were friendly, caring and professional. My electrical problems were resolved quickly and efficiently. HOWEVER, much needs to be done in the appointment scheduling area. 5 to 6 hour appointment windows are too long and made even worse when the appointment isn't kept. I spent the better part of 2 days waiting for an electrician to arrive. Otherwise, this rating would have been 5 stars.

Al Marino’s charged me $180 to take a paper towel and clean an air filter on my water heater. Took all of 3 minutes. Didn’t test anything or try anything else. Shockingly that didn’t fix the problem, so they had to come back. Still didn’t test anything or fix the problem. I had a check prepared for them for the $79 service fee, assuming that’s all I would be charged. Not the case. The bill was for $267. Marino’s charged me $180 to wipe off the air filter with a paper towel I gave him and the $79 service fee.

Kept telling me I needed a new water heater despite my current water heater being 7 years old. I’ve since fixed the issue myself without getting a new heater. Not angry they didn’t fix the problem or try to test anything, I’m angry they had the nerve to charge $260 for what they did. I would have no issue paying the service fee but the fact they had the nerve to charge $180 for the amount of work they did felt dishonest and predatory, so I will make every effort to not use them again or recommend them to anyone.

If possible I recommend everyone find a small, private plumber, HVAC specialist and work with them.

At the moment I haven't had their service at my house but I just wanted to comment on the service I got over the phone when I called about an issue I'm having and I want to say 5 star for the customer service on the phone the gentleman I talked to was awesome, respectful, and extremely helpful to give me some tips on things to try before requesting a service

Marino's is expensive and loyalty doesn't count. But this tech (Mark) works the entire time he is here and I trust him unsupervised in my home. Plus he always answers my questions.

I called for a water line leak. The leak was approximately 10ft from the water meter. Upon arrival, the 2 representatives looked at the site I pointed out . One of the reps said that is a straight down dig. They returned to their truck and set there for about 30 minutes. I walked to the truck and the one rep gave me a verbal quote of $3500. I told him that is a ripoff! This would simply be a straight down dig just like the other rep said. For this EXTRAVAGANT ESTIMATE I was charged $200. The rep gave me a document that said service fee. $200. He did not give me a written estimate showing the breakdown of the $3500 he quoted. This company is a ripoff! No true survey of the issue that will surely lead to price gouging! So if you are looking for a plumber, do yourself a favor and keep looking!! Very unprofessional!

I called and scheduled an appointment 11/22/23. The lady on the phone gave me a time window of 1 PM to 6 PM for the plumber to arrive at my home. They never showed up nor did they call and cancel or reschedule. Totally unacceptable as I had taken off work and rearranged my schedule to be at home for them. Look elsewhere for a reputable company who keeps their commitments.

Absolute awesome company. Super service over and above the call-of-duty. We had total loss of power to or home. They returned my call for emergency assistance within minutes. Talked me through the problem and fixed the problem over the phone IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES..."NO CHARGE"... Did I mention it was a Sunday evening. Thanks again, Al Marino, Inc.

My elderly mother needed to have a shower installed in her mid-floor bathroom. The guy showed up, explored the house, drilled holes in the walls and along the way we had a very pleasant conversation.

However, all pleasantries were shoved aside when we were quoted nearly $18,000 to install a 36x36 shower.

After the guy apologized for “wasting our time” I explained that we were thinking we would top out at around $4,000 on the extreme high end. His reply was “I can’t even get the materials for $4,000.”

Funny.

A bit more expensive than other companies, but the service, professionalism, and expertise is worth every penny. Andrew and Connor did a total repipe of my entire house in 2 days, without keeping the water off overnight. They scheduled me within days of calling and were so polite and understanding! i'll never use any other plumbing service again!

Just checking I didn’t have leaks as I already replaced valve that need replaced but if I need anything else will call them again

I rarely write reviews. But I need to urge everyone who sees this to trust and use Al Marino.

When our electric bill jumped, they sent someone the next business day to investigate. I’m terrible with names, but that gentleman was thorough, answered my questions and, when he could’ve charged me more to do work that I had originally asked him to do, he chose not to because it would have been a waste of my money.

Then the guys came out today to install a new heating system. And there were bumps in the road. They came out this morning, and it is now 8:24 p.m. and they’re still trying to make sure my home has heat.

I have two small children and I even got frustrated with these men because I thought my kids were going to be frigid all night (honestly probably not a legitimate concern anyway, but it was one I had). They showed impressive professionalism, helped me understand, and worked to deescalate the situation, as did Mr. Marino himself.

Not only that, but they continued to work hard, dealing with the problems and overcoming them. They could’ve legitimately left for the night, but they chose to keep working for their customer m. And they got the heat working.

I would hope that the foregoing would be enough to make it clear. But if not, go with Al Marino. Mark, thanks for putting up with my nonsense. And thank you, Adam and Mason for a job very well done.

We called needing assistance with a clogged wastewater line going to the septic tank. They were here within 2 hours. They were able to quickly and thoroughly fix the problem. Both were polite and professional. We appreciated that they came so fast!

I had a water pipe bust on Christmas and contacted this business and several others while they were not the ones to repair me they responded promptly while waiting for a call back I was able to get repaired Jay called me to schedule and sounded genuinely relieved my problem had been taken care of even if it wasn’t his company to do the work. Great level of customer service and care

Had a pipe burst under my house and Al Marino was able to send someone out the day I called. I contacted several other companies in the Charleston/Cross Lanes area and most were unhelpful at best. Al Marino was great, prompt, and completed the repair the same day the tech came out. Special shout out to Cowboy for being friendly, understanding, and professional.

Calvin came well after his work day should have been over. Quickly did the needed repair. Remarkably pleasant after what must have been a very long day.

Al Marino Inc came to our rescue after a worker hit an unmarked water line while working on a foundation repair. We had no water. I called other companies but they were not able to help. Al Marino Inc understood the seriousness of our situation and was able to move their schedule around. We had a plumber at our house within 30 minutes. The repairman "Mike Graley" and his assistant were awesome! They had us up and running in no time. We were very thankful because we have our 82 and 83-year-old parents living with us. Having no water overnight would have not been a good situation.
I did not know the vast range of their repair services until Mike told us. He represented the company very well.
We will recommend Al Marino's services to everyone. We will also be using them in the future for any of the services that we need.

I used Al due to a clog in my main sewer line. I was charged $815 for them to snake my drain line, FOR 4 HOURS only for them to be unable to fix the clog, and attempt to charge me $5,100 to place a sewer clean out in my yard. They said they could use additional methods, but wanted to charge $600 or more to the original $815. So essentially I paid for them to sit in my basement a few hours, and leave with my drains still clogged. Would not recommend.

Called for water backing up in our basement everything a sink, shower, or toilet was used. This was Saturday before Easter. They got here and got it fixed quickly. Really helpful with two adults and 6 kids in the house. They told me all issues they found and gave me some ballpark figures for other work I wanted to budget for. Would definitely call them again.
