We were very happy with the chimney repair job which Seth completed in a very organized manner. He made sure that the roof and the deck were protected and cleaned up after the work was done. We would recommend him any time.

We ended up replacing our chimney crown, flashing, and re-venting our boiler and hot water heater. Seth worked well with our HVAC company to get the job done. We just had heavy rains over the weekend and you know I was shining my flashlight up to the chimney bricks to check for seeping water. Nothing! My peace of mind that this chimney issue is done is well worth the price.

Difficult to get in touch; Couldn't get a hold via phone or email. I had a great impression in person a year ago when I almost got a quote for a separate project, but was instead given a solid recommendation to use Pinnacle Pro which was great for my needs then. It's so hard to put into words the gratitude I have for Seth and the work he did on our Chimney. Our old chimney was a sponge, which caused roof and ceiling damage, along with a lot of stress. I knew most masons wouldn't want the job, so I'm so very thankful that he agreed to. The chimney required a partial rebuild, all new façade and of course a new crown. When he tells you he makes the most amazing show stopper crowns, believe me, he does! They truly are stunning. It was a huge project, but he never rushed. Leaving the area clean before he left daily too, which I really appreciated. He's very busy, but if you are lucky enough to get a quote from him, I highly suggest you take it! He's also a great guy to just chat with. I was working with a local roofing contractor for a roof replacement and was referred to Seth at Advanced Masonry as the roofers do not handle any chimney repair or inspection. Seth was able to walk me through a "remote inspection" by sending him some close-ups of my chimney.

He was able to quote me for repair which ended up being substantial. Even better though, he offered up the idea of a complete removal of the chimney by the roofing contractor as it only houses my furnace gas insert. This ended up saving me $$$$ of dollars.

My chimney cap was lifting, along with widening gaps and cracks between brick and mortar. After seeing the one of a kind chimney crowns Seth builds I contacted him for a quote. Seth came out, assessed my chimney, got back to me with a quote within a day. Two weeks later Seth was onsite installing a new crown on my chimney, three days later the crown was complete. He also fixed some flashing issues and completely cleaned the brick surfaces, the entire work area was left clean and free of debris. Seth is very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, does high quality work, I will be contacting him for any future chimney work.

I asked Seth to come out for an estimate on possible chimney repairs due to some minor leaking onto my insert. He spent about an hour with me and told me that there wasn't any significant damage to the chimney or obvious signs of water entry. He did recommend some products to use to better seal and maintain. He's knowledgeable and honest. Someone that I would recommend to family and friends.

We called Seth with a leaking chimney problem in early January 2021, having exhausted many efforts by previous roofers to replace old flashing. He told us he was booked through mid-February and would call us to set up an inspection. We waited (rain leaking through the living room ceiling) until the third week in Feb., and called twice to find out where we were in the queue. After a few days we tried leaving an email message. Total silence-- no response whatsoever.
Seth may be the greatest mason in the world, and is no doubt extremely busy, but if he doesn't communicate at all after the first contact and wastes weeks of rainy weather in the meantime, what good is he?

Before hiring Seth, I had discovered that a good, professional mason is very hard to find. My chimney was old and leaking, and a previous "chimney expert" had only made it worse. Seth fixed the damage done, and did a fabulous job with restoring my chimney. It no longer leaks, and it looks amazing. Seth is professional, a hard worker and a great communicator with a wonderful personality. I really enjoyed working with him, and I recommend him highly.

Love love love this business. My chimney was leaking and needed repairing asap. Seth responded right away and continued to communicate throughout the project. He had to coordinate with roofers and tenants, and was always stellar with it. Price was fair, and he was accommodating. But the MAIN thing I loved was the people I had hired to do my roof did the flashing incorrectly, and I would have never known until a couple years down the line when my entire roof was rotted again. Seth told me about the problem, and refused to do work on top of it because he knew it wasn't structurally sound, and had already communicated with the roofer to fix it. We needed help with some brickwork that had failed on the front of our house. We are so glad we found Seth! I needed maintenance and restoration on 2 chimneys within my 1951 home. One of the chimneys is rather large with 3 separate flues and the other chimney is a small appliance chimney. Seth arrived on time for estimate. We went on the roof together and he slowly talked me through all my options for restoration. We then looked through photos of his previous work of similar restorations. He proposed good solutions which were within my budget and would protect my chimneys from deterioration for years to come. After getting several estimates from other companies, I hired Seth to do the restoration. Seth arrived on time to do the work and finished within the window he said he would. I could never say enough good things about the work performed by Advanced Masonry and Restoration! Our chimney has looked so sad since the day we bought our house 4 years ago. When we decided to convert to a pellet stove from a conventional fireplace we knew we needed to repair the chimney above the roof as well as the bricks inside. We searched for a reputable mason online for what seemed like weeks before we stumbled upon Seth’s AMR truck at a home nearby. We could see for ourselves his work was impeccable and decided to call him for a quote. He was friendly on the phone and we scheduled a day for him to come give us a bid.

He arrived right on time and did a walk around with my husband. He gave us a very fair and honest rundown of what needed to be replaced and what could be repaired. He didn’t sugar coat anything but he also was very direct. He explained everything with such ease that we knew he was knowledgeable in his field. We immediately trusted him and knew we wouldn’t be taken advantage of. We booked the work to be done on his next available opening which was 1-2 weeks out.

On the first day of the project Seth again arrived on time with his self-contained trailer and set up quickly and got to work. He was incredibly respectful and detail-oriented. He kept everything clean and tidy as he worked and he didn’t blast any music (which most contractors seem to think is acceptable.)

The outside work took 2 or 3 days (a demo day and a rebuild day plus a quick stop to seal the concrete.) I was amazed by how much he accomplished in 2 short days. When it was time to complete the inside mason work he was very thorough and even covered every inch of our floors from the front door to the fireplace to contain any mess. He cleaned up so well when he was done that I hardly knew he was there. He wasn’t annoyed at all by the attempted help from my 2 dogs :)

Speaking of pups, his super handsome dog travels with him occasionally (with approval) and stays quietly contained in his trailer while Seth works. I’m a dog lover so I spent at least an hour or two out in the back of the trailer loving on his pup, even letting him walk me around our property. He weighs more than I do but he’s such a sweet boy... definitely give him some attention if you get the chance!

Okay back to the important stuff. Our chimney looks and functions amazingly well! It gave our roofline a refreshingly wonderful facelift. You can’t even tell work was done to our inside fireplace as Seth matched the brick perfectly.

Furthermore, I was home solo the whole time that Seth was at our home and I never once, not even for a second, felt uncomfortable. We have all experienced those contractors that just make you feel a little weary; that is DEFINITELY not a feeling you’ll have with Seth. He was so relatable and easy going, always taking the time to answer any questions I had along the way. He handled my million questions like a champ and answered every single one of them without seeming rushed or annoyed.

I found Seth from a friend who had masonry repairs done to his home. My friend was more than pleased with the job completed so I took a chance as well. No regrets whatsoever since Seth not only did masters level work but showed up daily to the end of the job. I had tuck and point work, tear down of west wall, rebuild same wall and match 100 year old brick with whatever he could find since some brick replacement was needed. This was completed before my kitchen/bath job could start all in less than a month start to finish. Several months later Seth did brick trim out work on my new sidewalk and a brick bordering around garden adjacent to sidewalk. On time, fair price and high quality work goes the distance in my world.
