I recently had the pleasure of receiving roofing services from Richard and I must say, my experience was nothing short of exceptional. What sets Richard,apart is not just the quality of his work, but his unparalleled dedication to customer satisfaction.

Initially, I contacted Richard,to inquire about repairing a leak in my roof. To my surprise, not only did he promptly respond, but he also offered to assess the issue free of charge. Upon inspection, he identified multiple areas of concern beyond the initial leak, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a commitment to thoroughness.

What truly amazed me was Richard 's generosity. Despite the additional repairs needed, he graciously offered to fix everything without charging a penny. Their genuine concern for my safety and well-being, as well as their willingness to go above and beyond, left a lasting impression on me.

They fixed my roof and siding because of hail damage. Everything got done promptly and they helped me to understand what the insurance would pay.

I tried to find someone to do some roof repair, and couldn't get any company to come out to even look at the roof. Richard came out assessed the problem and returned within hours to quickly repair it. Will definently use his service again. Thank you !

Rick was very responsive and informative. Had an issue with my roof and he was there in less than 24 hours to take care of it. He was extremely professional and polite. I will most definitely use Acumen for all my future roofing needs and would encourage you to do the same!

Acumen helped my mother as soon as I called them! They didn't hesitate to come out and stop my mother's leaking from her roof!!! I am so happy with them and I would refer them to anyone that needs help!!

I chose to put IKO Dynasty "Driftshake" on my roof after doing a lot of research. Richard was very patient with all of my questions and drove down a couple of different times to leave samples with me. During my research I noticed that it was difficult to find several pictures of the same house/shingles, to see how the sun changed the appearance. I am uploading several from different angles to help someone in the future.

As soon as I chose the color, the began 2 days later. It took them 2 days to finish from start to end. I am beyond happy with the finished product! Definitely was worth spending a little more to get a roof like this.

Rick was great to work with and his crew that did our roof was great. Jerimiah and crew were awesome.

These are super people! Their work is simply the best. Throughout the entire process of roof replacement after a major hailstorm the attention to even the smallest detail was not overlooked. I am a retired Army veteran who gets reminded often of how hard I am to please so let this review speak loudly! I COULD NOT be more pleased and feel with great certainty that you will see the professionalism and promptness in their work!

After some conversations by phone with Richard he came out himself and spent a day correcting things that were still incorrect after the crew did the work and came back out to fix previously identified issues.

I got on roof and marked areas I had questions about the quality of work with chalk and he went through and addressed these.

I haven’t returned to the rooftop but what I can see from the ground and windows appears to be better.

I do believe this company wants to do a good job and were willing to invest time to make things better.

Disappointing quality of work.

Roof replaced following hail storm; this was not the level of work I expected when contracting out with “professionals “.

(I’ve done better work when I was 10 replacing the roof on grandparents’ house with family.)

The peaks have neatly pressed and creased shingles with cracks through the material. Pressed and creased is what I think of if you’re talking military uniforms- not rooftops.

There were many other things that I don’t want to list.

My concern is how poorly my home is protected with this new roof. This is Louisiana, and with that comes lots of humidity and rain and sun. If a new roof has cracks in the material already how do you suppose it will be after 10 years of weather exposure?
Exposed nails - not even covered with the silicone in places.

They returned after “completing “ the job to fix a portion where shingles and roofing felt curved in a valley without really contacting the decking and where shingles were not even close to touching.

Were prompt getting back, but did a disappointing job addressing all concerns. They did clean compressor oil off sidewalk but did not remove from recently painted siding. Siding damaged where hose for nailer dragged across and this wasn’t addressed. Did not replace or seal cracked shingles on peaks.

I DO NOT recommend Acumen for roof replacement.

I rarely post reviews, but this needs to be posted! I called Richard with a repair job on my roof and for a drone retrieval off of my roof. He was very prompt in returning my call and even though I didn’t have a “big” job for him to do, he came to my rescue! Thank you Richard!

I can’t recommend Acumen enough. He came out the day I called to take a look at a small leak in the roof. He was professional and knew exactly how to fix the issue.

I used Acumen Contracting to patch my roof after a bad storm, and they did a great job! They showed up right when they said they would and were done in no time! Highly recommend!

After the storm the other night we had a leak. I came across this company and what a blessing it was! They are fast, friendly, and very informative! Will definitely keep their card in my file for referrals and if needed! Thank you Mr. Richard!!

I am very pleased with the service and follow up that I had received from Richard. My new roof looks great and Acumen made it very easy to work with them and my insurance company.

This company replaced the roof at our house. FIRST, the did not do an accurate assessment of the job prior to installing the roof to notice a piece of flashing missing so when they installed the roof, they ran a nail right through an air conditioner hose in the middle of summer so we were out ac. Then, when called, they came and checked it out and we had to pay for a new hose because they didn't notice the flashing missing and said it was our responsibility. Fast forward to a good storm, and we notice the fireplace leaking a substantial amount of water. Call them again, they sent a guy out, he looked at it and said we had to screw it down although it did not leak before they did the roof. So, the old man climbs up there to look and notices they never even sealed it back down and there is no telling how much damage has been caused now. How can you tell a customer that they have to screw something down when it is your fault is leaking? Had the home owner call this time and some one is supposed to be out tomorrow to "inspect it" again. We shall see!

The only reason there is one is because it won't post u unless you chose at least a 1 . Not at all happy, will not recommend to anyone we know, Did not put up the drip guard, even after being show and told what we wanted they did what they wanted, guess the customer does not come first with them

I would recommend not wasting your time with this company, all I got was empty promises. Caveat emptor.
I contacted Acumen Contracting for some roof repairs and Rick Poe showed up on April 16th to look at the work I needed done and give me an estimate. After a few minutes of talking Rick appeared to have a good understanding of what I wanted done, I gave him my insurance claim estimate, and he left with the understanding he would get back to me soon with his repair estimate. By this time, after talking with Rick, I had pretty much made up my mind if his estimate was reasonable I would probably go with him because I liked his approach to the work.
I gave him a couple of weeks to work on the estimate as it was going to require some outside resources. I called him on April 27th and inquired about the estimate status. He informed me one of his contractors hadn't submitted a bid yet but he would get it to me early the following week. May 18th I called again to inquire about status and only got a voicemail. I left a message inquiring again if I would get an estimate soon or should I just cross him off the list. I ask for a return call either way he decided. It's May 30th and I still haven't heard from Rick and am very disappointed as I thought I had finally found a stand-up contractor.
Acumen missed out on this job because they didn't have the professional courtesy to treat their customers respectfully and courteously. Acumen was definitely the lead contender on this bid, I had cash in hand for the job, all it would have taken to get the work is a little communication and respect.

Rick did a fabulous job in finding and repairing a leak in our sun room roof. We had been struggling with this for way too long - Rick came by, assessed the problem, waited for the rain to make sure he found exactly where the problem was - repaired and coated the roof. He worked quickly and was always on time. So glad to have that checked off the list of things to do and should we have any other roof issues - I wouldn't hesitate to call Acumen or to recommend them to friends and family. Great work at a fair price

Acumen Contracting does great work! Their attention to detail is excellent. I would recommend them to a friend over and over again!

Our roof was so bad that our insurance company was going to cancel our policy. I called Acumen and spoke to Rick. He walked me through the options available and gave us a very competitive price. We had our roof done in 2 days and the clean-up was great. We love our new roof and have been getting many compliments on it. I would highly recommend Acumen to anyone.

Acumen Contracting did our roof in May 2016. They went above and beyond our expectations. They took care of all the details,starting with dealing with the insurance company to finding the right materials to complete the job. They kept us updated on the status of the work and completed all the repairs on time. It was a pleasure working with this company and I can’t say enough how thankful I am for all the work they did for us. I have been telling all my friends and neighbors about them and I’m sure if we need their services again in the future, I’ll be calling them to work for me again.
