Had a really negative conversation with someone at this company. The individual seemed frustrated to answer my questions. He also seemed to either not understand or know the answers and became rude and hung up on me. I simply was inquiring about solar. Will not be working with this outfit and would not recommend.

These guys are the best, easy to work with. Quoted three different options. They were patient with me as it took me a while to set up my financing, but once I made my choice they stuck to their quote and finished ahead of schedule.

Rhine and the team at Abundant made the design and installation of our system a breeze. They made me do my homework up front (collecting data about our power usage and clarifying our intent for what we wanted the system to be able to do) so that they could design and install a system that will meet our needs. We're very satisfied.

Abundant Solar installed our panels in mid-April and we just got our first power bill: $17!! No usage charge (just service fees and taxes) and we've already started adding to our credit for low-production months. We are lucky to have selected Abundant Solar. We had 7.3 kW of panels plus 12kWh of batteries installed. All of the staff were very professional, patient and thorough in explaining the options and pros and cons of each. They were proactive in obtaining all the possible Oregon solar energy incentives. Rhine in particular dazzled us with his encyclopedic knowledge of the industry, where it appears to be headed, and what the future might look like vis a vis selling power back to the power companies. The project was completed in a timely manner. We are pleased to see that even on partly overcast days, we are pushing more power back into the grid than we are consuming!

Abundant Solar did an excellent job installing our ground mounted solar array for a new house. I wanted try and install them myself, but once I found out Abundant Solar obtains the Oregon rebate for the owner, handles all permits/inspections, and once I met with them on site, I decided they could do the job faster and better. I was not disappointed. They signed me up for the Oregon rebate right away and scheduled the installation when I wanted. They worked with me, unlike some sub-contractors I have dealt with. I just had Abundant Solar install solar panels on the roof of my house and I found everyone to be very honest and easy to work with. I was told right from the beginning the pros and cons of the capacity of my roof with no pressure to install, as there is some morning shade on the south side of my roof. Great group of people. Communication between myself and all parties was efficient and effective, including the electrical sub. They cleaned up the area really well when they finished. Paperwork was a breeze all I did was e-sign a few things. My only complaint it that it has been unseasonably rainy and cloudy since the installation was completed...I'm pretty sure that isn't their fault though.

In 2018 Abundant Solar installed a 11.6 kW system at our house. The system has worked flawlessly for the 5 years that it has been in. At the time we asked them if they could install a slightly oversized inverter so that we could expand the system sometime in the future if we were able to get an electric car. In 2020 we were able to get an electric car and in 2023 we asked them to expand the solar capacity to the maximum that the inverter allowed. As it turned out, to fit the additional 9 panels on our roof wasn't easy. But they explored different layout geometry and were able to come up with a great design that maximized the system's output as we had wanted. That happened this Fall. Since the day that it came online, it has again operated flawlessly and we are producing enough power to not only cover most of our household electricity needs, but also that of the electric car. I can't recommend them enough for their technical expertise, their ability to problem solve and their responsiveness. I am so impressed with this company and the work that they have done over the last 5 years.

Abundant Solar was great. We had 23 panels installed on three different roof areas. They had excellent recommendations and were able to accommodate my requests (such as with conduit, look of installation, and shade concerns). They were price competitive with other solar providers (be wary of door to door sellers). Overall I'm very satisfied with the work they completed!

From my point of view as an engineer and scientist, Abundant Solar knows its stuff. They did a beautiful and efficient 9.1 kW installation on my new home with a standing seam metal roof: panels, inverter, backup switch, and battery storage. My system also has a unique integration with.a Span Smart electrical panel — there was no hesitation on Abundant’s part to work and configure the system with this tech. Abundant Solar also mounted and ran the cables for a solar irradiance and panel temperature sensor which will help me track the system’s efficiency over time. James Reismiller did the original solar assessment and design, and agreed to install a new SolarEdge battery storage product. Both Kirk Bailey and Rhine Chesshire helped me with configuration and monitoring questions. Contracts and invoices were handled professionally. I highly recommend Abundant Solar for your home or commercial PV solar design and install.

Very satisfied with our added photovoltaic panels. It was a long wait to get them, I assume because Abundant Solar is very busy. The integration with our existing PV system was complicated by changes in technology and regulations, but they solved it and gave us a complete explanation. This company is awesome. The work they do is top notch and they communicate very well. I built a house in 2008 and they installed my solar system back then. It worked great. Then I recently downsized and bought a smaller home in town. They installed a large solar system on this house and it is fantastic. I'm very happy with my new system and am happy to have had Abundant Solar install this system. They are the best, and they are local.

I strongly recommend Abundant Solar. Kirk Bailey was helpful and knowledgeable in our initial discussions of installation possibilities. Rhine Chesshire, the primary solar designer, was extremely helpful once we made a contract. He not only provided a missing piece of equipment from a previous small solar installation done 11 years ago, he also optimized his design after two site visits and upgraded the individual panel equipment without additional charge. Abundant Solar had the best bid of four we considered, and they have a reputation, highly deserved for doing excellent installations, according to the Corvallis building inspector. I think the equipment they use is also better, considering the mountings, the USA-made panels and the inverter, than many of their competitors. Altogether, Abundant Solar excelled from start to finish!

Abundant Solar is fabulous to work with. We put our first array up with them in 2015 and another array up in May. They were so great to work with, organized, arrived on time, answered all our questions. I can't say enough good things about them.

We added more panels to an existing array. The crew was easy to work with, came up with good solutions for a couple of problems, and got the system up and running quickly. I'm happy to be part of the solution!

A lot to like about this process and installation. Initial phone call was clear and informative. They modified their design to include additional panels for future e-car charging. We had an outlet installed which allows limited power during any fire season shutdowns by the power company. Installation was fast and without any hic-ups. Rhine’s orientation to the system was thorough and backed up with a binder, including the frequently asked questions.

The estimate of design, energy benefits, installation, and credits was spot on. James and Rhine were easy to work with and timely. The two installers were excellent and efficient. The panels are US manufactured in Bellingham, WA and we included the system to power a couple outlets during the day if the power goes out. This is the second system that Abundant Solar has installed for us (the first in 2014). We are very pleased and highly recommend them.

A friend recommended Abundant Solar and I am very happy with the recommendation. My panels are on new construction and the only negative was that AS was not taking new customers when we were designing the shop. That led to a $2500 change order on the roof design and for me to act as the general contractor. After that, things went smoothly and rough-in wiring was done on short notice when the walls were open. Everyone at AS was professional and easy to work with and the final result was a barely noticeable solar roof.

Our roof is not appropriate for solar panels and our site presented a number of challenges with the array some distance from the house, but James worked out a design for it. We contacted Abundant Solar late in summer and the work could not be scheduled until mid-October. Work began with digging a trench from the array, trying to avoid tree roots, other buried electric, water, etc. Footings also had to be dug for the ground mount, and concrete poured. It began to rain and all of that was in the mud. What troupers the crew were, always polite, professional, and tried to keep things tidy in the mud.
We asked for a big system to carry as much of the house usage as possible and lots of storage for power outages which they delivered.
We were very grateful that Abundant Solar took care of all paperwork, and even got the state rebate for us when it became available.

James and the Abundant Solar crew are exemplary -- personable, flexible, and completely professional -- and I recommend them without any reservation. The rooftop solar installation on our 1923 house required some prep work bracing overspanned rafters in the attic. I decided to do that work myself, and James was a huge help, sharing docs and a video on what I'd need to do, and then patiently answering the several follow-up questions I had while installing the bracing. Thanks to Abundant Solar, our electricity meter's now 'running in reverse', and the panels and installation will have paid for themselves within 6-7 years.

We doubled the size of our solar system this year with the help of Abundant Solar. Similar to the original system they installed, they made the project very easy by handling the approval request to Pacific Power, submitting the credit request for approval to the Energy Trust Oregon, and installing the system. This is the 2nd solar project that Abundant has designed and installed for us. And, we could not be more pleased. James was very aware of and listened to our requirements as we discussed how to site. He was open to our suggestions and designed a great system for our new house. After just a month of operations, we are producing well in excess of needs and have 125kw credit with the power company. WooHooo!!! Just a great process throughout, although working with our county building department was a chore that we would not want to experience again. Abundant Solar folks did a wonderful job installing another set of panels. I had my first set done 7 years ago. Staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond. They are always there if I ever have questions.

We recently installed a solar energy system at our home in Corvallis. We selected Abundant Solar to do the job after investigating the services of other area providers and
then meeting with representatives from Abundant. The project plan that was proposed by Abundant seemed to validate the positive stories we had heard from friends who had recently installed solar energy systems. Our solar energy project was completed in July, 2020 and we couldn't be happier with the result.

We were impressed with the attention Abundant paid to achieving a clean, high quality installation. The installation team was very easy to have on site, performed great work, and was consistently updating us on their progress and the schedule going forward. On the business side of things, Abundant did a great job making all of the contract requirements and financial incentives easy to complete. One particular story from the process stands out. While waiting for our project to begin, we learned that a significant tax incentive offered by the State of Oregon had been put on hold while the budgetary impacts of Covid-19 were sorted out in Salem. Abundant Solar offered to cover half of any incentive amount we might lose. This is just one example of the positive, supportive treatment we received from Abundant. And all on top of a great home energy system!

The Abundant Solar team was top-notch from beginning to end. The PV system was installed in a professional manner and is of high quality. The crew was very responsive to our needs and worked around our schedule. When the Oregon solar rebate was in doubt for a period of time during COVID-19, Abundant Solar was even willing to cover half of what would have been the increased cost to us. How many companies would have done that? This goes to show that James and the Abundant Solar crew are more concerned with doing a good job, caring about people, and doing everything they can to encourage people to invest in renewable energy to help further protect our environment than by merely making profit. Job closure even included an owner's manual with instructions, permits, and all equipment manuals for future reference! We will be quick to turn to them again should the need arise.

Abundant Solar has successfully transformed our home by installing solar energy. They were professional, responsive and supportive as we installed during the pandemic. In its first month the system generated about 900 kWh. We highly recommend working with the Abundant Solar team.

We recently had Abundant Solar install a 5.4 Kw solar system on our house. From start to finish they were great to work with. Working with Kirk and James, we quickly identified what we could afford, what we could expect for generation relative to our usage, what the time frame would be, and what was available for grants and tax rebates. Installation began within a few months and took less than a week. The installation guys were great and were respectful of our space in this unfortunate Covid era. The system is up and running and has generated ~1700 Kwh so far according to the phone app.

Abundant Solar helped us understand the costs and benefits of installing solar panels on our roof and helped us avoid future awkwardness by advising against installing the panels on a roof that would soon need to be replaced. After we replaced the roof, their very easy to work with crew got the panels and electrical equipment installed quickly, explained what we needed to know to operate it, got our electric utility company to install a reversible meter right away, gave us a detailed system manual, and have promptly answered our questions since then.

I witnessed someone in your company vehicle driving extremely dangerous on Highway 22. Your driver was involved in road rage with another driver, however your company vehicle was making very dangerous maneuvers and speeding. I have video evidence. What a terrible way to represent your company. Video was also sent to Salem Police.

In 2019 the good humans at Abundant Solar installed a 5400 watt PV system on top of our house. That worked out so well that when we decided to put up a new structure behind our house this year (2024) we worked with the builder and the people at Abundant Solar to incorporate an additional 4920 watt system on top of that. ALL of the individuals from Abundant Solar with whom we have had direct contact - Rhine, Dave, Aaron, Derlis, and Cassandra - have been supremely friendly and professional. The technology, regulatory oversight, and financial incentives connected with solar energy are all constantly moving targets, but these guys are on top of all that and made it easy for us to get the best system at the best price. Installation was fast and efficient. We are happy to offer them the highest possible endorsement.

I've worked with Abundant Solar twice. I put solar on the roof of my home in Corvallis and was so pleased with it that when I moved out to the country, putting up solar panels was the first "home improvement" project I tackled. Abundant Solar did such an excellent job the first time that I did not even consider contacting another company. They were extremely professional , detail oriented, and efficient. The barn roof install was slightly complicated, and they really worked with me, the county, and the electrical contractor, to keep costs down. I hope not to be moving agin in the near future, but if I ever need another solar install I would definitely use them again.

Abundant Solar installed a photovoltaic energy system at our house in January. We're extremely happy with the system they installed, which is providing more energy than we consume at our house. They clearly explained every step of the process, from the initial consultation, to measuring our roof, to the installation of the system, to filing for tax credits after the system was installed. Everyone we worked with from Abundant was knowledgeable and friendly, and they worked incredibly fast. Once they started installation, it was done within just a few days. James (owner) and his staff are top notch, trustworthy solar installers that provide high-quality workmanship. They are true to their word and reliable. They are committed to leaving the planet (and our home) in better condition than they found it. Their prices are on par with other solar installers in the region and they have a great product. Become more energy independent and save $ in the long-run. The payback period of your system will vary depending on tax credits, utility kick-backs, etc., but the economics are probably better than you imagine. I recommend that if you're intrigued by solar PV systems, call a local installer and get an estimate.

I cannot say enough good things about Abundant Solar. The sales person did an excellent job educating us about what to expect and helping us determine what size system we needed without being pushy. The installers were professional, courteous, and clean. The owner was thorough as he helped us navigate the paperwork with his own company, Pacific Power, and the rebates. I cannot imagine a better experience.

I sought bids from two companies and theirs was about the same price but more thorough and informative; throughout the work, I was kept informed of the progress; the work was completed on time and on budget and very professionally.
