I contacted Above Par Construction for a quote on a leaking roof. A representative came out on Saturday, identified the issue, and promised to send a quote by Monday. Monday came and went—no quote. I followed up and got no response. When I called the main line, the receptionist assured me we’d have the quote by Thursday. Thursday came and went—still nothing.
When I expressed disappointment about the lack of follow-up, the representative finally replied that he didn’t want the job. That’s incredibly unprofessional. If the job was too small, basic courtesy would be to let us know right away—rather than ghosting potential clients, stringing them along, and wasting their time. A simple heads-up would have allowed us to move on and get the problem fixed by someone else.
By far one of the worst cases of contractor negligence. If you dont have the means to execute the job in a timely manner you should not take the job. You are messing with people's lives and money. I am a carpenter by trade and know that being honest about what the job entails and the timeline to complete needs to be transparent. If you are supposed to finish a minor addition and you started in april, it ahoukd not take you til august to maybe start drywalling. Do the work right the first time so the inspection doesnt fail. Do better. Ill come over there and drywall tape and paint in a weekend. Get it done guys. Asking for my friend, not me. They are very unhappy.
We had 4 new windows and a storm door replaced on October 3rd and 4th of this year. The windows were made by Climate Solution and they are perfect. We just love the why they look and they have a slight tint to them when the sun hits them. The new storm door is a Larson and it’s the one that has the hidden screen at the top and it’s exactly what we wanted. With the new windows and door it has completely changed the look in our family room and it is a welcome change. Above par did a good job and we are looking forward to Spring when we will be replacing a few more windows and doors.
