John was such a pleasure to work with. He was able to fit me in to his busy schedule sort of last minute - and was early to the inspection which was in Westchester County (he got there before I did!). He was SO thorough and explained what he was doing / checking for. I had the report the next morning - what more could you ask for? John was recommended to me to complete a home inspection on a property I am in the process of purchasing. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with John! We had terrible storms the night before my inspection was scheduled. When we arrived at the property, we learned the power was out due to the storm. It makes it difficult to complete a home inspection when there’s no power! John immediately put my boyfriend and I at ease, and let us know he would be back in the area in a few days to pick up our radon test so he would complete the rest of the inspection requiring power at that time. On top of having excellent customer service skills, John was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He walked us through every nook and cranny of the house! I feel extremely confident moving forward with the purchase of this home after having John’s eyes on everything.

During the inspection, John thoroughly examined the exterior of the home, checking for any signs of damage or wear. He then moved inside and meticulously inspected the plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC units to ensure they were in good working order. John is single-handedly the reason why I was able to go under contract on my new home and I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for home inspection services.

My original inspector had an emergency and needed to cancel my inspection, but the sellers had multiple offers and were anxious to keep things moving, meaning the sale was in jeopardy if I had to push back the inspection. I called John last-minute the day of and he was able to make my original appointment time work with no pushback whatsoever.

Beyond John’s extraordinary accommodation on the timing of the inspection, his work was impeccable. He treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism, disclosing everything he saw while also giving me his personal recommendations about what he felt were the most concerning issues and what I could put on the back burner before addressing. The inspection report itself was detailed and full of high quality pictures, descriptions, and recommendations.

Less than 12 hours passed between my initial call to John and my receipt of the inspection report via email. I can’t thank him enough and will be referring everyone I know to use his services.

Had probably the best experience with a home inspection company that I’ve ever had with the homes I’ve purchased over the years. They were INCREDIBLY METICULOUS with the inspection. They checked everything from top to bottom and not only pointed out things that were a current issue but also things that may BECOME potential issues in the future. The inspection wasn’t “rushed” like I’ve felt some companies did with past homes I’ve purchased. They took a little over 2 hours to complete the inspection which I was impressed with and also made me really feel I got a great value for my money. This is my new go to inspection company in the future. A+

My experience with John was excellent.

He was able to accommodate an appointment on short notice. While on the inspection, he was extremely thorough leaving no stone unturned. He answered all of my questions and gave me a summary of his concerns so that we could get back to our sellers with repair requests immediately.

His final report was extremely detailed and easy to understand and he answered all of my follow-up questions completely.

He also helped me with a list of trustworthy contractors in the area to help me with some work on the home I wanted to do.

As we all know being a first time home buyer it can be stressful but John was very detailed and answered all of our questions. The inspection report is great!! It was literally 116 pages, it contained a ton of pictures, incredibly thorough and in a timely manner (less than 24hrs) with a host of recommendations. We feel much more at ease after working with him. When we perform our next home inspection in a few years, we will definitely go with John at A&A Spot on home inspection again.
