Gave him almost the full amount for a job he promised would be done in one week. It’s been way past that, and now he’s ignoring messages—even while I’m in active conversation with the tenant trying to schedule the rest of the work he never finished.

Also gave him a deposit for AC installation at another house—labor and material included. He couldn’t finish the job in timeframe he said he would, so I hired another contractor.

He told me last Wednesday he’d send the money back. STILL NOTHING

It’s always easy to ask for money. But when it comes to actually doing the work—or refunding someone’s hard-earned money when they’ve put their trust in you—SILENCE and delays say everything.

I’m a pretty decent person. I get that life happens. But if you can’t even have the decency to reply and give a realistic update, that’s just Unprofessional. Don’t call yourself “one of the good contractors” if you can’t even follow through.

Put your money where your mouth is. I’m tired of trusting people who talk big, take payment upfront, and then disappear when it’s time to show up.

Posted on a FB investor group asking for help with a broken water heater. Alex phoned me direct, said he was in the area and could stop by to help. This was at 6:00 pm on Sunday night.

Was impressed 1. He reached out direct, rather than simply responding to a post. 2. He was working Sunday evening. 3. He was willing to make another call on Sunday.

Alex was able to fix the water heater. He was professional and efficient. He was even able to determine the water heater was under warranty, in case we need to obtain parts in the near future.

Great to know there are service providers who care and know their stuff.
