- Job well done!!! A1 commercial roofing company was fast affordable and reliable.
- I definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good job at an affordable price.
- They ended up damaging the drain pipe during the install and didn't tell anyone about it.
- Peter refuses to return my calls. I've called him at least 20 times.
- Job wasn't done properly and it didn't hold up.

We got our Building roof done by these guys for a Building with 8 units.
They came in the lowest as the Roofing contracts. They ended up damaging the drain pipe during the install and didn't tell anyone about it, which caused the water to drain into the building. Their installed roof also had several leaks and bubles formed between the membranes. We had to get it all redone. almost 50k later we had to have several units get gutted. people were out of a place with kids, for a while. They claim that it wasn't their fault. Their insurance denied the claim. I have the top unit in the property and got the least of the damage, still had to redo my entire bathroom. Once we found out where it was coming from I had to go through my Kitchen to divert the water from the pipe into a bucket so it wouldn't damage the rest of the units anymore. This was the main leak, the one that damaged my bathroom as a hole in their membrane.

Peter gave me a quote to replace loose Fasteners and fix my leaky roof. He came out slapped a bunch of silicone on my roof and called it good. when I asked about the fasteners , he said he couldn't find any loose fasteners. needless to say, rainy season came and my roof leaks like a sieve. I got a ladder and I can see plenty of loose Fasteners. Peter refuses to return my calls. I've called him at least 20 times I've sent him emails with no response. I paid Peter $5,000 for about $500 worth of silicon. I Could have done that myself and saved me a ton of money.

This company did a flat roof job (fixed and applied a coating) on condo building in 2018. 16 months later, we had to have it completely redone because there were still soft spots everywhere and it was cracking. Job wasn't done properly and it didn't hold up. Don't recommend at all.

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
