Spectacular job. I described a custom duct work design for supply registers with a similar sample to AR. Their design and finished product were of exceptional quality, and increased the HVAC systems efficiency by a factor of 200%-400% by enabling standard registers that were limited to being 36" away from the wall's windows & doors, to be installed 18" away from the wall's windows & doors.

One of the few local metal shops that treat you like family. They always work hard and stay in contact throughout the completion of each job. Jason is doing a great job taking over for his father and Mama Kathy is keeping everyone on their toes.

We needed steel materials for a special project within a specified window of time. They provided exactly what we requested and earlier than expected . It's great to know you can depend on them.

ABSOLUTELY love these guys !!!! Mis Kathy is the glue that holds the place together and keeps the ship up right. The boys in the back have a skill set that is beyond comparison. Randy is always available to chat about your projects, give marital advice, ( your wife is probably right) or tell you how to tune up a carborator on a 66 corvette.... there really isn't anything this guy can't do. This place is great! I was in a real pinch with a manufacturer’s fireplace trim kit. It came ready to install, but the metal slot on the side was 3” too long on one side so I went to Home Depot and bought some metal shears thinking I could just cut it off myself. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the “man muscle” I thought I had so I called A & R and a very nice lady suggested I stop by to see if they could help. As soon as I walked in the door I was warmly greeted by the cutest door greeter ever, an 11 yr old dog named Gracie. Anywho, after a few minutes a nice gentleman took my trim kit to the back and came back with the perfect cut. I was so happy because the cut was exactly what I needed and I thought how nice he was to do this on the spur of the moment. After all, it was a minor job and I’m sure he had bigger projects to work on. Plus, it was obvious this place was busy but no one made me feel like I or my request was a bother. After I got my trim kit back I asked how much I owed them and the lady said nothing. She said “just keep us in mind for future business”. What a kind thing to do and say! It’s not often you find excellent quality service AND great customer service at the same place. I’d definitely use them again and highly recommend!

I searched the entire Charleston area for a metal fabricating shop that would fabricate a finished product out of copper that was duplicated as a template! Not only did they take care of everything they did it in one day,I was extremely happy and will definitely be returning for any fabricating I have to have done in the future. Also the group of people that run this place are absolutely professional and efficient and extremely nice and I really enjoyed my experience there thank you to the team at A&R Sheet metal fabricating!

I gave their Estimator a detail drawing to build a diamond deck box in Feb 2017 and i have called him 6 times and he said he lost the drawing and he want me to refaxed the drawing and I did on March 9, 2017 and I called him several times and he would say that "he would call me with a quote".I LEFT MESSAGES WITH THE SECRETARY AND SHE SAID THAT SHE WOULD REMIND HIM. It is May 31, 2017 and he has not called me back yet further more my company have done business with them for years and we have a business account with them. VERY POOR SERVICE!!!

I had a piece of aluminum soffit cladding that blew off during Matthew. They made me an exact duplicate in just a couple days at a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend!

I bought my (spec) home with a copper hood in the kitchen fabricated by this company. During the inspection, fingerprints were found that caused the copper to turn brown. The (builders) wisdom then was that it could be steel-wooled (bad idea) and coated with Turtle Wax. When the builder applied the Turtle Wax, the copper oxidized immediately. I was left to solve the problem and had to do the work myself to repair this defect. At the time I did not appreciate the builders dilemma since I believe he got the same lack of response I got from A&R today (see next paragraph).

Now 7 years later, the hood needs to be redone. I called A&R and spoke to a woman (same one as the other one-star reference??) who basically blew me off and said to coat it with Turtle Wax!!! They are a good fabrication house but their service is not good and I do not think they know how to treat and produce residential products. I feel abandoned and now have to solve the problem myself again.
