Living on the Oregon coast can bring many challenges. As a newly arrived desert girl, I wasn’t prepared for the dry rot that was uncovered after placing an order from Anderson Windows. I feel so fortunate that A Cut Above Exteriors came to the rescue. Bill came down from Portland the very next day. He’s a detailed professional and guided us through the bidding process. He made sure to explain how their company goes above and beyond to ensure solid construction. Next came Alex, the Project manager. He was always available and responded quickly. I have a habit of asking a lot of questions and he never seemed bothered, always smiling. He came out 2-3 times to the job site and went through the process and guided me through any necessary changes. It was clear that customer service was important to him. But the true stars of this project were the workers, Juan and his brother Martin. They came early but were careful not to start making noise too early. They stayed until it was dusk and they needed to leave. As these were the 2 guys on site the entire time I had a lot of great interactions with them. I have such respect for these two hard working brothers and for the company as a whole.

Our experience with A Cut Above Exteriors was absolutely amazing.

We used them several years ago to do a full roof replacement. Juan and Martin (the installers) took such care to make sure every detail was right. They kept a clean work space and made faster work of the project than initially expected. We just could speak highly enough of A Cut Above after that experience. Fast forward to now and it was time to do our siding. We immediately knew there was only one company we trusted to produce my vision for our home.

We did a full exterior remodel of the siding, a new front entry and front and back entry doors. We only wanted to do the front of the house at first. After consulting with the A Cut Above team, we were educated to how doing the whole project at once would save use $1000s on the back end. They were totally right as we watch the cost of material regularly going up and up. They also shared by doing it all at once would also put maintenance and painting cycle of our siding all on the same schedule. That too will save us in the long run..

The Project Manager Josh addressed all of our needs as they arose with and explained everything in great detail. He was always prompt and we were never left wondering what was happening. Andrey and Vlad were so detailed and their craftsmanship is unmatched in our opinion. Andrey was not shy to share when an idea could be improved and why. I loved his guidance and professional approach to their work. I really felt like they cared about my home. The team again was so respectful of the fact we had to live through a construction project. They cleaned up at the end of every day and took great care to minimize the mess created by the project at every step. They really do check every box.

A Cut Above Exteriors was a terrific choice to install siding on our free standing ADU. We needed wheelchair access and space. A Cut Above Exteriors explained they use exacting specifications and methods to get the best weather enclosure and highest Hardy approvals. As suggested by A Cut Above Exteriors, the schedule was revised to complete entry ramps, low threshold doors, and each appliance location before siding began. “Cut Above’s,” talented craftsmen worked in an organized, almost choreographed precision. They produced attractive mounting blocks, solid corner boards, plus windows and doors trimmed to lap siding with weatherproof perfection. I am motivated to care for this beautiful addition for my family and property.

I have so many positive things to say about our condo building rehabilitation project and the team that made it all happen at A Cut Above. The project estimator Bill listened to our association and helped us create a project that brought together the needs of the association and the owners. Five stars for Bill! Our family hired A Cut Above Exteriors to upgrade our drafty vintage 1925 Laurelhurst home to modern day standards. Upgrades included complete residing with HardiPlank lap siding, removal of all knob and tube wiring, insulation of all exterior walls, replacement of all windows, new doors and locks, proper attic and eve ventilation, and repainting of the entire home.
Quite the job. One might consider a project such as this to be perhaps, “risky”. However, we had no concerns because we did exactly this job with A Cut Above Exteriors on our previous home back in 2008. We were so pleased with that work that there was no question on who to call to upgrade our new home. And once again, we are thrilled with the results!
The Cut Above Exteriors crew including our Project manager Randy, and construction team of Anatoliy, Vlad M, and Mike performed beyond our expectations. The painting crew that A Cut Above Exteriors brought to the job, Cascade Painting Enterprise, managed by Vladimir was the icing on the cake – flawless, perfect and far beyond our expectations. The little improvements and upgrades from the construction crew, along with the support of our design consultant Bill, has made our home warmer, quieter, and much more energy efficient.
While I suppose we could have price shopped, split work scopes, and perhaps saved a dollar here or there, getting this work completed with the competent and professional A Cut Above team made for a trouble-free experience that has added tremendous equity and value to our now comfortable home!

Working with A Cut Above was a great experience. Nikolay, Rostyslav, and Yevhen went beyond my expectations when replacing siding on 2 sides of my house, adding cedar tongue and groove to the entry, and coordination with the new windows and front door. Randy was instrumental in solving a drainage issue, dealing with dry rot and helping configure a new 1/2 door for the crawl space entry. His experience helped uncover hidden problems and I'm glad he noticed them at the first walk through. The attention to detail at every step put me at ease. Joe and Dan's vision and renderings helped me pull it all together. I love the face lift and curb appeal!

I would not recommend at all, go through anyone else! We only went through them because renewal by Anderson said our window warranty would become invalid if we didn't. They where $3,000 more then the other 2 quotes we got and they did a horrible job. I would call them car sales men, which is what one of them said our bill was like. They would not even give us a break down of cost for everything when we asked. There were things that where very obvious that needed to be fixed and when we asked them to fix it, they wanted to take the fast, easy way out instead of doing it right. They had excuses for the damage they had done and said they wouldn't fix it because accidents like that happen and to just paint over it. I would take them to the ccb board but then I would have to let them back on my property and I do not want that. They damaged a window screen and asked them to replace it and we are 4 months down the road and have not received it. These are the kind of people that would charge their mom to do work. I thought the Cut Above meant they did a good job but it means that they take cut of money off the top. I would recommend anyone but them. If you would like proof of all the evidence I would be glad to share it if means you don't go through them.
We finally got the screen after 5 months. Just say the comment they left about reaching out to make it right. They have not reached out as of May 18th. More bad communication.

The Cut Above crew was very professional, prompt, and I was amazed at how fast they completed the job. Excellent results not cheap by any means, but worth every penny.

Working with A Cut Above Exteriors was a pleasure. I’m a retired engineer who has worked with hundreds of different construction teams over the years and A Cut Above has one of the most dialed in processes I’ve seen.

I initially met with Dan, one of their design consultants. He asked me about my needs and what I had in mind for siding and it became immediately clear he knows his stuff, backward and forward. He gave me all the information I needed to make my decisions and more.

Then came Randy, one of their project managers. Randy surveyed the project areas, took extensive notes, pictures and measurements and we discussed some challenges and how they would deal with them.

Once drawings of my project were complete both Dan and Randy met with me again, we went over their drawings and further discussed the details of the project. I knew right then that these were the guys I wanted to do my work.

Once the project began things went quickly. The afternoon prior to siding removal both a portable toilet and dumpster were delivered. When the crew (Nikolay and Dmitry) arrived they met with Randy to discuss the details of the project then went right to work. I was pretty amazed at the pace they worked. By the end of that day they had all the old siding torn off and had already begun installing parts of the siding system.

During the next two days they worked diligently installing new board and baton as well as vertical cedar. When they were done I was absolutely thrilled with the quality of the work. I couldn’t be happier with the results.

The next morning the portable toilet and dumpster were removed. A Cut Above Exteriors contacted me to schedule a final walk through with Randy. I had very little to complain about and a lot of praise. The one item I did mention was immediately remedied.

If you’re in need of new siding or siding repair I cannot recommend A Cut Above Exteriors more highly. Honestly, you’d be a fool not to call them and at least give them a chance. There’s a decent chance, if you don’t go with them, you’ll wish you had!

A Cut Above repaired a leak from a second story door installation along with siding replacement and repair of the water damaged attached deck. The team manager Alex along with Anatoliy and Vlad exceeded our expectations and produced a wonderful finished product. Anatoliy and Vlad went the extra mile to reduce wasted materials and excess cost. I know A cut Above is a more expensive option for most projects, but their expertise warrants the extra budget considerations. We recommend them highly and would certainly use their services again if needed.

My wife and I used A Cut Above Exteriors to put a new roof on our home. I have to say they were professional every step of the way and kept us informed. The work they did was top notch and I have nothing but good things to say about this company. They went above and beyond with our roof install and I and my wife are extremely happy. We highly recommend this company for your roofing needs.

They did a complete tearoff and reinstall of Hardie siding, with two new windows, as part of an interior leak repair. I was really impressed with the research Daniel did to help me decide, and with Alex's accessibility and attention. On the tear-out and installation, Juan and Martin were meticulous: it was a very challenging close-quarters job between a pergola and the house, and they were in and out without a scuff. Certainly was pricey, but feel like I got the value and attention necessary with such a tricky job of that scale on an old house.

We had a water leak at the top of our living room window. Based upon the superb ratings given to A Cut Above Exteriors, we chose them to solve our problem. The leak was due to defective siding which caused water to run behind the Hardie siding. This was accurately diagnosed by Randy, the project manager, and Dan, the design consultant from Andersen windows. The crew sent by Randy, Nikolay and Dmitriy, were professional and expertly removed our rear siding, which confirmed the original diagnosis by Randy and Dan. Nikolay and Dmitriy worked non-stop except for brief lunch breaks. They reinstalled new siding on the back of our home and answered any questions that we had. They also put in new flashings which the builder had omitted. Randy and Dan are experts in their field and kept on top of our project. They confirmed our confidence in their company.

Our siding project, start to finish, was an excellent experience. Project consultant, Dan Potter, was very thorough in inspecting the home and spent lots of time explaining the entire process to us. Project Manager, Josh Irvin, was wonderful, also guiding us through the project, continuing to be in close contact and sharing his immense knowledge. Our siding crew, Nikolay and Dmitriy, were outstanding in their work ethic, amazingly fast, meticulous, open for questions and showed great pride in their work. Our painter, Vlad of Cascade Paint and his crew were very thorough and also meticulous. All crews left the grounds pristine at the end of every day. Everyone was professional, friendly and great to work with, and we could not be more pleased with the result; our 35 year old home looks brand new. We recommend A Cut Above and Cascade Paint very highly and will use them again for future projects.

We purchased our 1923 house about 10 years ago, and after a few attempts to repaint it, realized we had to take the plunge on a full re-siding project. We were pretty anxious about the prospect, but ACAE quickly put us at ease.

Bill McDermott gave us detailed information during the bid process, giving us a breakdown of every aspect of the scope of work involved, and answering any questions we had.

Project Manager Alex Cowlthorp joined us for walkthroughs at the outset of the work, and was in contact regularly via text and in person to make sure things were all going smoothly and we were happy with progress.

Dimitriy and Nikolay, residing wizards, worked long days to remove and replace the old siding with new. We were really impressed with how quickly they were able to turn things around without sacrificing any attention to detail or quality of work.

And Vlad from Cascade Painting put the crowning touches on the project. Small houses have no less detail than big ones, and Vlad and his crew spent considerable time and effort making sure nothing was overlooked.

Our old home is new again, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Weeks later, we still marvel at how great things look, and passersby remark at the lovely color we chose.

This team was fantastic. They delivered above and beyond what I had expected. My siding looks wonderful and the work was done quickly and efficiently. The consultant, Dan, explained the overall scope of the project in a way that was easy to understand. The project manager, Josh, was amazing at facilitating all that had to be done, answering my questions and handling unforeseen issues. He communicated with me every step of the way. The team at A Cut Above Exteriors is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. Our roof and gutter replacement project was performed timely with excellent workmanship. We will most likely use them again for a future siding replacement project.

We hired A Cut Above Exteriors all the way back in 2018. It’s now 2024 and I’m finally leaving a review. Better late than never I suppose! My siding looks just as nice as it did the day after it was installed and painted and I have had zero issues with the workmanship. I still smile when I pull up to my little yellow house after all these years. They installed a lap ceiling for our porch and we still get comments how nice it looks and I’m so glad they suggested it and we paid the extra cost since it really finishes off the house nicely. In fact I just did a hose down of my siding as I do every spring and even found myself thinking - dang, this house looks new again! The caulk is all still in great shape, the paint has held up perfectly, and there’s not a single sign of moisture or damage. We actually hired them to come do a really simple repair back in 2021 when the ice storm tore down our electrical service and they were quick to respond and come out. Felt my appreciation was long overdue!

This past summer we had Renewal by Anderson and A Cut Above totally remodel the exterior of our home in West Linn. My wife and I can not be happier with the completed work. Our project manager Alex was AMAZING. The lead carpenters Andrey and Vlad were true craftsman. We look forward to working with A Cut Above in a few years for a new roof.

Alex’s crew wasted no time and quickly were able to get the job nicely done, inspite of torrential rain, my questions, and my change order! All navigated seamlessly. And the results: a house that will stand up to the worst weather the Columbia Gorge sends our way. This siding will stand any test of time.

From the beginning, with Bill McDermott as our contact person, Alex Cowlthorp as our project manager, Dimitriy and Nikolay Leonchick as siding experts and finally Vlad from Cascade Painting they managed to change our home into such a beauty. and we couldn't be happier. Their attention to detail and the obvious pride they take in their work is so very clear. The ability to finish our project as specified in 3 weeks was largely due in part because of how hard these guys work. Arrived at 7AM and left at 6 PM. The communication was always excellent and respectful and all crew were so patient with our questions.
Cut above is probably more expensive than others but you definitely get what you pay for! We highly recommend this company. Won't go wrong.

Cut above does a great job doing their work following a lot of input from the customer. They replaced siding on my 100 year old house with none of us knowing what would be found under the old siding. A Cut Above was an absolute pleasure to work with. Our project manager Josh was extremely helpful; always answered any questions we had and helped explained the answers he gave so I was able to learn a lot about roofing and siding during the process. I felt comfortable asking anything and knew I'd get a helpful response regardless of if I thought it was a "dumb" question. Juan and Martin did an incredible job with our roof install and I couldn't have asked for a better crew. They were polite, helpful and kept the worksite clean the entire time they were here. Juan and Martin did an excellent job replacing our roof and together with helper Ivan, they kept the work site clean at the end of each workday. They also did a great job of protecting landscaping and property. Project manager Randy came by each day and answered all questions and handled any problems promptly. Bill provided several valuable suggestions on project design and selection of materials and quickly responded to any questions or concerns.

I contracted ACAE to replace the siding on my detached garage along with the garage roof. It was nice to have one company handle siding and roof work rather than try to procure the work separately. I had other contractors review the project and ask them to bid. ACAE was not the lowest bid, however they had other attributes that resulted in them being hired for the work. First they have been in businesses for several years and I have seen their work on other homes and their work, after several years, continues to look great. I have a 100+ year old home and they have a lot of experience with such homes in inner Northeast Portland. Second, they are a James Hardie certified contractor which carries some weight. Some of the other contractors that bid were going to use JH siding but were not a certified contractor. ACAE was able to provide a stronger warranty for their work, some of the other contractors had minimal warranties. Third, they were the most complete in reviewing the garage and determining the scope and scale of the work it needed. None of the other contractors even looked at the garage from the interior, for example. ACAE identified which sides of the garage would need all new sheathing and included that in the bid. Others did not and just said if we encounter rotten wood it will be replaced and added to their cost. I understand you cannot see all possible rot from the exterior or interior of a structure, but it was clear and obvious to me the south side would need all new sheathing. Also roofing materials included in another contractor's bid were much lower quality. Fourth, I believe that although ACAE bid was higher, other contractors were not as diligent with their bids and would likely have had change orders increasing their bid price as work was performed. Therefore ACAE was likely much closer on final cost than how it looked from bid comparisons.

Regarding the work itself, their crew showed up on time every day, worked diligently and left the job site organized and clean each day. My neighbors also noted how diligent the crew was. The job manager visited several times to inspect the work and give me updates.

IMO to grade a contractors work you have to consider how well they communicate and manage expectations, how well they listen and address your problems and concerns, how close their final bill is to the original, how timely they work from start to finish, how clean they do their work, the quality of materials used, warranty and of course finished product. From a value standpoint I am very happy with using ACAE for this project and the results are very impressive.

My experience with A Cut Above Exteriors went a lot better than expected. I was impressed with Erica and how she handled the initial scheduling of this project, along with additional schedules throughout the project. Jamie, the salesman, was very thorough in his explanation and ability to answer my questions. Next was Alex, the project manager. One of his best qualities is his ability to communicate the processes and steps being taken as the project moved forward. I always knew what to expect and who to expect as the project progressed. The crews of Nikolay and Dyma which handled the installation of the siding and painting, always kept the job site clean and organized. I can't say enough about their cleanliness of the job site.

From the quote to the final payment the company was great to work with. They were professional and treated our property and us with the utmost respect. We had a few outside the norm parts of the project and they handled it with ease. Pricing was upfront and transparent, there were no surprises and they held to exactly what they said they would do. Communication with the team, Josh, Andrey & Vlad was excellent. My only complaint is that they do not do interior remodeling as well. I would use this company again in a heartbeat.

We called A Cut Above Exteriors to arrange a quote to replace our siding on a two-story house in Troutdale. Bill came to our house for an intro and discussion about what we wanted done, then explained options and exactly what ACA could provide. We checked a couple of houses they had completed in our area and saw first-hand the quality of the work. Though not the lowest quote, we were impressed with the professionalism, attention to detail, and end-product quality. Then, we met the team of people who would do the work. What a great bunch of people! Alex, Anatoliy, and Chad had an amazing work ethic, were easy to work with, always respectful, and willing to answer any questions. The new siding replacement was completed as days allowed during a windy, rainy time. This, of course, delayed the painting. Once started, it was done as quickly as possible, and we are very happy with the result. The painting company worked with great care to ensure a high-quality result. In fact, it has never looked better, and we are very happy with the expert work they did. From the first call through the final walk, the ACA team worked with excellence and high proficiency while working on our house. We are happy, satisfied ACA customers.

We did our siding and exterior house painting through A Cut Above. This was our first major home project-and I was pretty nervous after hearing some horror stories from other companies, friends and family have used. We easily had 4-6 different companies come out and give us quotes. Mani came out, was hands down the most thorough and took the most time to explain what they do as a company, and what we could expect from start to finish. Where they the cheapest? Nope. Where they the most expensive, not at all. But after the amazing experience we had, I would and will use them again in a heartbeat. Josh the project supervisor was honest, took the time to explain everything in clear and precise detail. He was always available to talk and was patient throughout the entire process. The crew who worked on our house was Andrey and Vlad who where extremely professional, making sure each day the site was clean and safe for when my kids came home. Andrey stayed late one day so he could explain and answer some questions we had. It really showed how much pride this company takes in their work. After our experience-I could not recommend this company enough.

Our experience with A Cut Above Exteriors was top notch. Starting with Bill the salesman who was very thorough in his explanation and ability to answer all our questions before even committing to the project. Next on the scene was Josh, the project manager. Some of his best qualities are his ability to problem solve and especially his ability to communicate. We were never wondering ‘what next’ with the siding install as we were always in the loop with where the project stood. He was able to answer all questions and put our mind at ease throughout the process. Josh even stepped in and helped facilitate some of our numerous issues with Renewal by Andersen who was the contractor on the new door entry. Even though he didn’t have to, he wanted to make sure our experience overall was as good as possible. I can’t say enough what a pleasure it was to have Josh on the team as it’s not often that you come across a project manager that goes that far above and beyond what would be expected.

We actually had two different install teams due to scheduling and timing with the door install. You would think there might be variations in their work, but they have the process down as you could not tell which team did which part. The initial team was Anatoli/Chad and the finishing team was Andrey/Vlad. Not only was their work impeccable but they put up with all my questions and me constantly being around since I work out of the house. Hopefully they weren’t annoyed with my hovering. If they were, they definitely didn’t show it.

I can’t say enough what a pleasure it was to have ACAE do our siding and I would not hesitate using them again for future projects. They are not the least expensive option, but you definitely get what you pay for in the quality of their work and their professionalism. Thanks again guys.

We had A Cut Above Exteriors do a small residing project on our house. The salesman: Jamie, came out reviewed the scope of work, explained what they would be doing how long the project would take and gave us their price for the job. The Project Manager: Josh also came out at the same time to look at the job. The entire job was as described and there were no surprise additions for the work performed. Every effort was made to do as little damage to the work area as possible. The crew: Andrey & Viad were an excellent team an explained problem areas the required special attention. Josh came out to inspect progress and I hardly new he had come by. Post job walk through went very smooth with no problems encountered and no follow up work needed. We were very please with the work performed and would have not problem recommending them to anyone. We used A Cut Above for our exterior siding project. They upgraded our old vertical T-111 siding to Hardie horizontal boards. We could not be more pleased with the work done by Alex, Andre, and Vlad. This was the second major job that A Cut Above has done on our house. Both times, I’ve been 100% satisfied and impressed by the all-around quality and service. This time involved two crews, one for the roof, and another for all the soffits and some siding. I had a good amount of contact with the leads of both crews (Rodrigo and Juan) and both were great. The project manager (Randy) was pleasant to work with, and had everything delivered/removed on schedule (despite the weather). His referral for the gutters also worked out perfectly. In the spring, I expect to have them back to fix some windows and redo more siding before I get the house painted.

We reached out to A Cut Above Exteriors after getting a rather scary, unsolicited quote about the state of our Cedar siding. I reached out to A Cut Above Wednesday evening. Bu Friday morning, Manny was here inspecting our siding. I'm so glad we asked for a second opinion. Manny actually walked me around the house explaining what he was seeing. In the end, he was able to help us realize we almost fell victim to a high-pressure scare job from another company. He helped teach me what to keep an eye on with our current siding and which areas may need replaced in a few years.

When so many other companies ghosted us, ACAE stuck with us, found solutions, and even worked with an outside consultant on our unique roof construction (SIP). Communication was excellent, never leaving us hanging. The crew, Juan and Martin, took time to answer our questions and were true craftsman, solving sticky problems with elegance. For something we mostly take for granted, we feel we have a roof and skylights, that will stand the test of time.

Our exterior house has old cedar siding shingles, but time and weather had one side of our house pretty worn down. We had a 4-day siding repair completed by Chad C and Anatoliy K. They were swift workers, professional, and completed a high-quality project. A Cut Above gave us discounts for being willing to start this work in the Spring and ahead of other projects on hold…and then the painting was completed this Summer and well worth the wait! We hired A Cut Above to replace our siding, cultured stone and paint the whole thing. We’ve done a lot of remodeling over the decades on our house and we’ve never worked with such a wonderful company as A Cut Above. It started with working with Mani the salesperson. I hate to say “salesperson”. The meeting was so comfortable, no pressure, listened to our ideas. It was like talking it over with a friend. Then we met our project manager, Josh. I really can't say enough about the quality and attention to detail of the team that worked on our house. One side of our house always gets blasted by winter storms, and after 35 years the siding was visibly failing around the windows (they showed us where it was growing mushrooms!!). We spent a long time initially discussing what needed to be done and they also suggested stylistic improvements to update the curb appeal. The dry rot ended up going right into the supports for the roof (eek!) but they worked very professionally and cleaned it all up, while also showing me the extent of the damage, and errors that previous window installers and the original builders had made. Randy, the PM, is a great guy, very approachable (not usually what you get with contractors), and very upfront about what costs would be. The crew (Anatoliy, Chad & Valerio) were also extremely approachable (I was always out there asking questions) and willing to pause their work to address my concerns. Chad even voluntarily moved a portion of the contents of my garage back in order to access the area around the garage door. I think what i appreciated most was that they were always very clear that quality (ie water prevention) came first - if i wanted to make an aesthetic change, they always first showed me how important it was that they do it they way they were doing, and then tried to find a way to accommodate my wishes without jeapordizing the quality. Highly recommended!

I had a great experience working with A Cut Above on a pretty big exterior remodel of my house. The overall project included new windows, asbestos abatement, new siding, and painting. From initial consult to final walkthrough, they were communicative, professional, and fair. I would highly recommend paying extra to have them project manage for you, especially if you are working with multiple vendors like I did (chose my own window company). The work and paint crews led by Anatoliy and Valerio did a stellar job working with my unique and wonky 1948 bungalow. I appreciated the timely and thorough communication from project manager Randy, including being transparent up front during the scoping walkthrough about potential complications that he foresaw. Luckily none of these complications eventuated but I would have been glad to not be caught by surprise.

A Cut Above removed our siding, replaced it with Hardi plank and painted our house. The siding was replaced in January during some pretty bad weather. Andrey and the residing crew showed up every day and worked cheerfully and professionally in all weathers. I cannot overstate how impressed I was with them. Vlad and the painting crew had much better weather in May but were just as impressive. Top notch in every way. You don't see such professionalism and attention to detail very often these days.

A Cut Above Exteriors recently completed a total residing of our home in Otis, OR. The process from start to finish went extremely well and exceeded our expectations. The process began with Design Consultant, Bill McDermott who developed the plan and made timely updates as needed as the project progressed. Josh Irvin was our project manager. He did an outstanding job in implementing the plan and he stayed on top of the project continuously so that there were no surprises. Finally, our two installers were Nikolay and Dmitriy. These two gentlemen were exceptional. Both the quality and efficiency in their work was the best that I have observed in my 50+ years in manufacturing operations. As I mentioned above, ACA exceeded our expectations on this project and we are 100% satisfied with the final product.

We chose A Cut Above Exteriors to reside our entire house from a cedar/T1-11 mix to all Hardie plank, and they did an excellent job; we highly recommend them! We met with other siding companies, and even though ACAE was more expensive, they had employee crews that worked directly for the company. We had A Cut Above do a full Hardie vertical board n batten siding over our original 1979 T-111 single wall construction house. Josh Irvin was the project leader on this and made the process incredibly smooth considering I had a lot of prep work I wanted to get done before the siding could happen (windows, lights, a deck addition) Having scheduled the siding 4 months in advance, we were miraculously able to hit our target day to begin the project. An incredible feat given the volatile supply climate we are in with both labor and material availability. Andre and Vlad handled the entire siding project from start to finish. I was on site everyday to ask questions and give feedback. Andre was very open and easy to work with. Andre is also a true craftsman with an incredible attention to detail. In this respect I feel he and I are a lot alike. Our install was not run of the mill, and many decisions needed to be made on the fly. Andre always seemed to make the correct one, but generally included me before proceeding.
I’m the type that typically likes to do projects myself due to the fact that I feel compromises will usually be made if I leave it to someone else. A Cut Above has reassured me that there are still companies out there that do top end work for a reasonable price without cutting corners. Rodrigo, Brayham, & Claudio knocked out the installation of my new roof in a day and a half. They were remarkably fast and tidy. They kept the work very contained. I didn't have to move my small greenhouses away from the main house, which I was very appreciative of. They even used their vantage point to help me look for my missing chickens at one point!

A Cut Above is a phenomenal contractor. We are just finishing up building a custom home and chose A Cut Above for our Hardie Artisan and ash siding install. We dealt with numerous subs on the project and A Cut Above and the crew - Andrey , Vlad & Sergey were hands down our favorite!

Our experience with A Cut Above Exteriors was excellent. Jamie presented us options for both the exterior work we had in mind and window replacements. He was 100% responsive but applied no salesman-type pressure. He also made himself available on a Saturday morning at the window showroom to accommodate our schedule, which I deeply appreciate.

Later Sam came to our house to manage the repair and replacement of exterior siding, trim, barge boards, and porch skirt. He was proactive, knowledgeable and accessible. I had A Cut Above/Renewal By Andersen replace windows, patio doors and siding on the back (south) side of my house. They did not have the lowest bid but I went with them and was happy with the work. Windows went in just before the heat wave, siding just after. Even without the siding, the windows made a difference on the temps inside the house. The crew was respectful, neat, left the place cleaner than when they arrived.

I spoke with Erica on the phone to schedule a time for a quote. Erica was very professional and polite. Erica followed up on everything to make sure that I was being taken care. Erica is very friendly on the phone and puts you at ease, she helps you to feel comfortable and by the end of my call I knew I had called the right company.

We had siding replaced a few years back (the work was very well done and service was professional in all ways (I am an architect and know what I am talking about)). So this year it was time to replace our 32 year old cedar shingle roof. We got two estimates and ACAE was in correct range. We went with ACAE abased on their prior performance and being in the right price range.
Our sales POC Bill McDermott and project manager Randy Gardener were both great communicators who kept us updated on activities and telling us what to expect. They were very helpful in helping us pick the correct shingles. We had some family plans that would have conflicted with the roofing and Randy accommodated our needs by adjusting their start date. Then the work started with the actual workers, Rodrigo, Brahyam, & Claudio, who were super nice, super hard-working and cooperative. They finished in the predicted time by showing up every day and working full days.
It should be noted our roof is very high, steep and large.
I would strongly recommend A Cut Above Exterior and when we have our windows replaced we will call them again!

2020 REVIEW FOR SIDING:Hardie Building Products along with two other firms. A Cut-Above had a competitive price and while not the lowest price they seemed to be better informed about quality, details and had better suggestions. (I am an architect and know about exterior details too.)
Their sales person Bill, superintendent Sam and foreman Andre and crew were all EXCELLENT IN QUALITY & PROFESSIONALISM! So was the painting sub-contractor (Cascade) and the Anderson Sliding Door replacement team.
The work started on time, they kept the same crew on the job everyday until done and finished early. Work was excellent and they kept a clean safe job site. Our house is tall and has some challenging configurations and they figured all out.
They listened to our requests and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A CUT-ABOVE EXTERIORS.
