We had a great experience with A.C. Wood. From the beginning, they were very responsive and clear in communication, fair with pricing, and provided excellent and timely work. We had our roof redone in the summer 2024, and now that spring is here, I can honestly say that the roof withstood the winter beautifully without issue. I will say that I found several nails following the job after they cleaned up the area, but I think that can come to be expected to a certain degree. I would recommend for anyone having a roof replaced to use a magnetic rake over the surrounding area following the job, especially for folks with small kids and pets. I look forward to using A.C. I recently had some work done by AC Wood Contracting and found it to be a very good experience. They were here to do the work within a week of my first call. My mom needed a lot of work done on her house. AC Wood replaced all her windows, put siding on the house and replaced the failing windows and doors on the breezeway. Tom was wonderful, he said the job wasn't done until we were happy with the work and I guess he meant it. This company wasn't the least expensive but I do think it was a case of “you get what you pay for”.

After consulting with 3 contractors for estimates on new windows and vinyl siding, I decided to go with AC Wood for my project. Adam and his crew were always professional, prompt, considerate, and friendly. I highly recommend them for your next project.

Buying and building in todays environment is scary and we had just bought our house in September of 2021 so we were unsure if we wanted to go through the process of putting a garage addition on so soon. We decided to reach out for quotes just to get an idea. I’d say I reached out to over half a dozen contractors. One gave me a price and I was trying to make design changes to get it within my budget and the contractor just stopped responding. The only other one that gave me the time was AC Wood Contracting, with all of the others ignoring my calls and online requests for a quote. Adam came right out to look at the property to get a feel for the project and what I really wanted. He was very up front with me when it came to prices and availability. I had a lot of sticker shock never having done this before as well as the crazy market driving up material prices. Adam worked with the me to get the price to where I was comfortable and from then on it was smooth sailing. Work started immediately with permits and drawings. Once everything was in order they broke ground and Adam ensured me they would be able to get the concrete in place before the snowfall. The gentleman that took measurements for the drawings was very knowledgeable and walked me through everything and made sure he knew exactly where I wanted things. Andy Williams was fantastic to work with for the excavation and concrete work. They were very respectful and did amazing work and really made sure they weren’t in our way with their equipment and when they were on site. Once the concrete was cured and the structure started to go up, things went very fast. Again, Adams crew was very friendly and conscious of us being home and did their best to not disturb us, which is hard to do with our very vocal dog. Adams project manager, Tom was very quick to respond to calls when I had questions and even once came after hours to seal the roof because he saw rain was in the forecast. It really made me feel like they had our best interest in mind and wanted to deliver a quality product at the end. I was very surprised to see Adam had the concrete floor sanded smooth and sealed. That was never talked about and I just assumed it was on me to do afterwards but it’s done and will be protected from the elements. I was also surprised that the interior was fully primed. I had said to not bother to save costs and planned to do it myself afterwards but Adam did it and make it looked like a very finished garaged that needed nothing done after the fact. If you are looking for a contractor that isn’t going to tell you what you want to hear to get the job and will actually build you a quality garageI’d highly recommend AC Wood Contracting.

Working with Adam was such a good experience. He is very responsive and took the time to thoroughly explain my options. I hired Adam’s team for exterior painting headed up by Jay. I can’t say enough about the experience. The crew was kind, respectful and kept an impeccably clean work space. They were so thorough in the prep. They came every day on time and worked continuously until the job was completed. I will definitely be hiring Adam’s crew for more work. Oh and the house tools great!

What can I say? AC Wood contracting went way beyond our expectations! You will be lucky to get them.
We chose AC Wood by looking at reviews on the BBB and Google websites, and we all know you can never trust reviews. We didn’t know them. But from the beginning Adam Wood responded to our calls, and honestly said they were extremely busy and backed up, and if we were serious about work, they would come, give us an estimate, and if we gave a deposit, would put us in his schedule. We did. And he was responsive: always returned calls and gave the impression of reliability and trustworthiness: and so he was.
We replaced our rotting deck and siding and painted our whole house. He and his workers were reliable, quick, courteous. He kept to his budget estimate that we agreed upon. And we couldn’t be happier. There is no question that we will come back to Adam and AC Wood for the next job we need done.

Replaced old porch with brand new deck. Tom and Steve and the rest of the crew were great. They worked in freezing cold weather and were efficient and reliable. The communication was great. All my questions were answered and they made sure I understood all that they were doing. Adam, the owner, was great to work with, and I’d be happy to give them my business again. I have recommended them to friends and family already!!

We used A. C. Wood for our house roof replacement back in 2009. Recently in 2021 after a period of torrential hard rain, our bathroom ceiling started leaking. We decided to call A. C. Wood's office to report the issue. We received a professional response from the secretary.
After a couple of hours, we got a phone call from Adam Wood who promised us to send someone right away to assess the situation. They started the repair at no cost. Adam sent his roofing crew led by Tom Clark who removed and replaced all roofing materials.
Once we confirmed that the water leak was repaired after a couple of rain storms, Adam sent his crew including Tom Clark to repair the bathroom ceiling.
We also had a flat roof addition repaired in 2009 by A. C. Wood. They also suggested replacing it free of charge.
The crew worked around our schedule and were respectful, professional, and punctual.

They replaced our roof- in one day! They came when scheduled. The clean up was great. The porta potty, dumpster, and sign were gone in a timely manner. Had a hard rain and no leaks. Adam responded quickly by e-mail or phone.

This past winter we had an ice dam that damaged the sheetrock in our upstairs family room area. We called ACWood and decided it was time to replace our 25 year old roof. We have three skylights on the backside of the roof and Adam suggested we also add new flashing and ice shield above and around the skylights. The installation was painless with the crew arriving on time and everything ran like clockwork. By 3:00 p.m. the job was completed, roof looking great, everything back in place and no one would have known there had been a hard working crew installing a new roof on the house that day.

About a week later after one of those heavy rainfalls, we noticed a leak around the center skylight. We called Adam to report the leak. He apologized, reassuring us not to worry, they would do whatever necessary to correct the problem. Adam’s foreman Tom came out, redid the flashing around the skylight, but determined the leak was actually from above. Tom continued to investigate to find the problem was around the chimney flashing, which was not part of the original scope of work because it appeared in good condition. Tom not only fixed the problem but went above and beyond volunteering to spackle the original damage to the sheetrock inside.

Sometimes things don’t always go as planned. We highly recommend ACWood to do a professional job, leaving you a satisfied customer. Thank you for being a company people can put their trust in.

Just an addition 4 years later!!!!!

We just had a problem with our upstairs furnace and found that we had a small leak around the chimney again. We have had A LOT of rain in April/May. I called A.C. Wood and they came out once again, inspected the chimney and recaulked it. Just want everyone to know that A.C. Wood stands behind their work even if it is 4 years later. Thank you

We have been so pleased with the quality of work and professionalism by AC Wood that we've hired them to do multiple projects for us throughout the last 10 years. They have: 1)Installed new vinyl siding, 2) replaced a large bay window, 3) built a new and larger deck, 4) completely gutted and remodeled our kitchen and dining room and just recently 5) replaced our roof down to the rafters. Each project required a contractor who would not take short cuts and insisted on quality work through to the very end. That is AC Wood. We have never been disappointed by Adam and his crew. They are a detail oriented, respectful, and hard working crew. In addition to all that, they also provide multiple daily updates on the progress of your project. My wife and I were out of town during our roofing project and we kept receiving updates throughout the day keeping us informed of the progress. While this is standard process for Adam, it was still great knowing that our home was in good hands and my presence wasn't needed. We are so grateful to have found Adam and plan to always hire AC Wood for future projects.

We contracted AC Wood to build a 23' x 25' addition to an existing garage on our property. This project included excavation, frost walls and footings, and reinforced concrete garage floor in addition to the structure itself. From the estimate process throughout the entire project, Adam and all of his employees and subcontractors were responsive, honest, and professional. What impressed us most was how they worked with our budget (and design changes to meet that budget). I’m sure we were not their biggest project or client at the time, but you wouldn’t have known that by the way they worked with us to make the project a reality.

Rick Soltes and Adam Wood were absolutely phenomenally patient through this process. Our budget did not make it easy for them but, in short order, we all agreed on a satisfactory cost and scope of work.
We met with Adam Wood at least three times in person and had numerous phone calls and emails to update us and to see if we were satisfied with the project at each phase. The project was completed ahead of the deadline that I set and we could not have been more pleased with the finished product.

The excavation and concrete work was subcontracted to A. Williams & Son. Not too far into the ground, Andy ran into quite of bit of ledge. Andy was honest and up front about our options and the impact to the budget and we worked out a fair solution rather quickly. Andy made sure that we saw the work completed in each phase and let us know what would be happening next. He maintained a clean and safe worksite at all times and caused no damage to the property or existing structure. While the work below ground is important, the key feature of a garage is the floor. Andy and his father expertly created a near perfect garage floor, which has already stood up to one auto restoration project and will serve as the base for many more.

While the floor was curing, Vic (the carpentry foreman) and Adam Wood were on site to scope out the next phase of the project and to discuss any issues and concerns with us. Within a day or two, his crew hit the ground running and the framing was up within a couple of days. I had the opportunity one day to watch Don, Billy, and Mike at work. It was good to see true craftsmen who take pride in their work, and the results proved it. Once again, they maintained a clean and safe jobsite – no waste or trash, no nails in the driveway – which, quite frankly, is rare based on my past experience with other contractors. The garage was completed exactly as I had drawn it in my initial sketch and blended perfectly with the existing garage and house… like it had always been there.

The electrical subpanel wiring was completed by Crosier Electric. Mark visited the site and walked through our expectations. He was right on with his estimate and Jon and his crew completed the work exactly as discussed. Once again, we got exactly what we asked for exactly where I asked for it.

Adam sets the gold standard for contractors. He expects a lot from his employees and subcontractors. I have recommended AC Wood to friends and relatives and would hire them again without reservation.

Adam and his crew did a great job stripping and shingling our roof. Adam kept us apprised when the dumpster, materials and shingles would be delivered. except for an initial two day rain delay everything went smooth. A.C. Wood Contracting demolished a very large backyard deck and replaced all decking and integrated benches. Throughout this 2 1/2 week project their crew was outstanding. Adam at A.C. Wood put me on his schedule months in advance and kept his word.
Sent two professionals over to install a custom sized Andersen 400 series Patio sliding Door and finished up the outside trim and casing with a nice “AZEK” brick board.
JobSite was clean , guys were on time , stayed busy and were very respectful.
I would recommend AC Wood, definitely.

I first hired Adam 11 years ago to redo my front porch, so it was easy for me to hire him again for my new roof. His team kicked butt and got 80% of the job done on the first day. I was very impressed with their skill and drive to get the roof secure before rains came down that night. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

We were searching for builder to replace our aging roof. We choose A.C. Wood. After getting a proposal, we discussed the details, voiced our concerns and determined when to start. My largest concern was not cost. It was doing the job right and doing it once. But after our discussion, it was obvious, that we choose the right builder and team.

The entire team that did the work was first rate. Not only were they exceptionally proficient, they worked as one. I don’t see that very often.

They also replaced some siding that had been damaged when high winds dropped a tree on the power lines and ripped a piece of siding off my house along with the power lines.
