Jon and his team have done three projects for us. The most recent involved replacing old bifold doors, baseboards and painting. They do first class work, are responsive, professional, and an absolute delight to work with.

Jon and his team has done several projects for us and we are so impressed. He is communicative, on time, on/under budget, high quality and friendly. That is a rarity in his business, and I will continue to use him for those reasons. He's completed a new deck, modified our garage door size and added new garage doors, painting projects and several other misc jobs. We are very happy with all of the work he has done and highly recommend!

5 star homes and remodeling have done a number of projects for our home including our basement and a deck. Jon is very easy to work with, he responds quickly to any questions and is always open to design changes. He really helped with figuring out a layout for our basement that was functional. The price has been fair and his guys do great work. They work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality. Very happy with the results and we will definitely use them again for our next project!
We still have doors and trim to do in the basement, but looks great so far.

He went above and beyond with our deck project and recommended things throughout the process that made our existing deck and addition mesh together seamlessly. These guys will show up when they say they will, they will finish the job when they say they will, they let you know exactly what to expect, and they do excellent work.

5 Star IS 5 star! Jon has replaced our kitchen counter tops, added a farmers sink, as well as replaced multiple windows while saving us a ton of money. And, he and his crew cleaned up each day they were in our home in Red Wing! Absolutely a top notch crew!!

We have had the 5 Star team do a number of projects at our home. From our basement remodel to new windows, they have been easy to work with and do a great job!

I’ve used Jon and his team for a deck, skylight replacement, siding repair and replacement, exterior door trim repair, and had a privacy fence installed. He’s been to my house for approximately 7 different repairs within the last 5 years. Always timely. I will continue to use and refer his team in the future. I did not know him until he redid our deck when I called him off the internet….important to mention this as I’m not writing this for a friend or buddy.

Can we only give 5 stars? We’d give more if we could! Jon and his team at 5 Star Homes and Remodeling, LLC were instrumental in creating our new 4-season/sunporch addition and decks. We were surprised at how much they accomplished each day, and Jon was very good about communicating when he and/or his team would be back – and yes, they were reliably here! They were respectful of property and of our time and schedule. Their work showed attention to detail and was a solid, quality build. They maintained a tidy work area (as far as construction zones go ) and cleaned up after themselves. No dumpsters taking up space in our driveway, and no unsightly trash and construction debris blowing around our yard – they took everything with them at the end of each day. Jon, with his knowledge and experience, recognized we could make a small change to our plan that didn’t require additional time or money to make, but had a big, wonderful impact at completion – not sure I ever thanked him for that, so thanks Jon! Individually, and combined, the team at 5 Star Homes and Remodeling provide their customers with exceptional quality, and the completed project looks amazing. We are thrilled and know we will be blessed to enjoy our new spaces for years to come, thanks in great part to Jon and his team. We have no hesitancy in recommending 5 Star Homes and Remodeling!

16x16 Screened In Porch…
One of the best experiences we have ever had. Jon and his crew we very nice, respectful and professional. When my wife or I would call/text with questions, he was very quick to respond. You want the best of the best, go with 5 Star. We would highly recommend him to anyone. We are still in awe as are our neighbors. They met and by far exceeded our expectations and they will definitely be our first call for future projects!!

Some referrals could be taken with a grain of salt, but we sure are glad we took our friend's advice about Jon Emmick's good work! We wanted a 4-Season porch addition (plus adjoining deck) to our B'ville home. Jon's hands-on efforts produced a result well beyond our expectations -- HGTV worthy! He gave us a solid build, perfect roof and skylights, great finish work, toasty flooring, and sturdy metal deck rails outside. His bid was fair, and his timeline matched ours. All in all, we are super happy sun room campers, and won't hesitate to call Jon and his "5-Star" crew for more projects we've got planned!

Jon and his crew finished the basement in our home. They were knowledgeable, communicative, professional, honest, friendly, and came in at estimated amount. They did an absolutely amazing job. We heard of 5 Star Homes from a friend who used them and was happy to refer them. After having contacted more than 5 operations we were able to see quickly they were gonna be better. They communicate and show up when they say they are going to.

We ended up having them put on a screened and covered deck with a cement patio underneath. They moved fas when they could and communicated through the entire project.

If you’re looking for someone to do a design rendering and white glove and pay 30% more then I’d mention that to them. We were happy with the work they did on my friends place and didn’t want to pay the extra for design. It worked out great!!

We love our new deck / porch / patio!

Would recommend Jon and 5 Star any day!
