We used this company numerous times with wonderful customer service. The last time we paid half for a family member's home too, where the roof had massive moss. After the job was done, the family member told us that there remained a lot of debris in the yard from the moss removal job. My husband called and told them. The company didn't call back that it had been done. So, we withheld half payment for months. We are not in that area anymore so could not go to look for ourselves. Eventually, we did pay the remainder. But for the company not to tell us that they had gone back is really poor customer service!

Willy came out to Camas today and diagnosed a fabric tension problem with our retractable Sunsetter awning. He determined the problem was not as bad as we thought. I asked for his cost on replacement fabric it seemed very reasonable. I asked what he would do if it was his awning. Willy looked at the fabric again and said if it were him, he would get at least another season of service out of the fabric because it is still in good enough condition.

We had gutters repaired, replaced and an awning installed. They were a pleasure to work with on each project. When there was a small color difference on the gutters one time they were replaced without a problem. I would use again and strongly recommend them.

Willie , Owner and crew re-installed a 16' Sunsetter Motorized Awning on our newly sided home for us. They were on time, got to work and I was impressed with the way they went about the install. The stud locations were not marked out by the siding company when the awning was removed so 5 Star had to do a stud location. The Owner made the locate quite easily without disturbing the new siding or mounting board; ingenious that was. New fabric change was completed and the mal-adjusted awning arms and pivot points were addressed and adjusted. The awning is performing as new.
Willie, field sales representative, said the fabric was 4 to 6 weeks out for delivery. The fabric was delivered to them in 3 weeks and Willie called me to schedule an install. This is a great example of UNDER PROMISE and OVER DELIVER. I was very pleased with the early delivery.
Same goes with the scheduled time of arrival to do the work. Between 9:30 and 10:00AM. they arrived at 9:30.
Highly recommend them.

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
