Brian helped us navigate the process of repairs and replacing our roof, siding, windows, and gutters due to significant storm damage. We opted for a metal roof to replace our badly damaged shingle roof for peace of mind from Texas storms. As new homeowners, this was our first insurance claim, and Brian helped us every step of the way, processing the confusing claims process! 5 stars for stellar service and quality contracting.

3 Rivers Roofing replaced our builder-grade roof a year ago after we had a leak in our ceiling. The team met us the day after we called and got to work. They were kind, easy to work with, personable, and professional at all times. They helped us navigate the process and we were able to get much better shingles and underlayment, flashing that matched the house, and a ridge vent. The work was quick and efficient, and the roof looks GREAT! They even painted the rain flashing above the a/c unit to match the roof (it was shiny previously and an eyesore)—attention to detail! We recently had a hail storm and the roof held up beautifully. Cannot recommend 3 Rivers Roofing enough!

Shelley visited me immediately after we had wind damage to my roof. She explained thoroughly my choices on roof materials and the process of the installation. She was also thoughtful in helping me pick best color choice for the house. She communicated with me through the entire job answering any question I had. She worked diligently to get my roof scheduled in a timely fashion with Shayne and team.
Shayne was a terrific communicator and understood and met our schedule needs.
The crew worked steadily without even taking much break time. The property was cleaned up throughly when done.
The outcome is a fine roof and a job done professionally from start to finish.

We had Matthew Jobson out to our house to inspect our roof and see if we had hail damage and needed a new roof. We were amazed that after his thorough inspection we didn’t have damage. He showed us photos and explained everything in detail. If and when we have another mighty hailstorm we will be sure to call 3 Rivers Roofing and ask for Matthew. You can’t ask for a more honest company.

Brian was very helpful. He broke everything down for me and made the process of getting my roof replaced very easy.

It's been over a year--we still don't have a roof. I'm seriously astounded at the raving reviews--this isn't a roofing company, it's a sales agency.

The first time we met with Mary and Jordan, they immediately showed us their catalog without having looked at our roof, offering us the most expensive materials. We told them we'd already filed an insurance claim with our insurance, and they were only going to cover our hail damage, which seemed fair since the roof was over 20 years old.

We were happy with what the insurance gave us, but Jordan quickly prompted us to an adjusting company, King Adjusting, who told us they could get a lot more and it wouldn't take more than three months to do so.

We hesitantly agreed, and the more that time passed, the shadier everything got. Jordan wanted to get a 50k dollar payout from the insurance--I called several roofing companies and they all quoted us between 10-16k (the higher number with quality materials and a new decking.)

The roofers we spoke to were shocked by the amount 3 Rivers was trying to get from the insurance--which I found out is a common practice in the industry--cheap labor, big claim, big profit for the contractor. Based on the other quotes, had they gotten the 50k, they would have kept over thirty thousand in margin profit.

The past week Jordan admitted that in no scenario does it cost that much to replace a roof.

They fought our company, and would not communicate with us--this went on for over a year! Eventually, we got sick of it and went with another roofer; now their appraiser, the one they pressured us to hire, is charging $2,000 on top of the adjuster's 10%--we'd only agreed to the latter, never had they told us the appraisal would cost that much. Having no experience, we trusted Jordan. There's no document we signed that stated that amount and the adjusting company finally admitted to that.

Jordan is taking no responsibility for this and, in fact, never even called us back.

Never will we work with a company that hires cheap labor and gets a huge claim to make big money, that's 3 Rivers.

BEWARE. I'm filing a grievance with the Better Business Bureau.
Our home now has huge spots of mold because of how long it all took. I wish we'd never gone with them.

Brian was great to work with throughout the entire process. We had our roof done after a bad hail storm and they handled everything for us. All work came out great. Would def recommend for all roofing needs in SM

Mathew Jobson did a fantastic job facilitating the work between the insurance company and all the necessary repairs that my Dad's & Billie's house required after the hail storm. He was patient, supportive and continued to explain every step of the process. Its a beautiful house now and we are all thrilled about the outcome.

The staff at 3 Rivers made our home repairs simple and stress free process. After a bad hailstorm took out a window, we anticipated some roof damage too; 3 Rivers was out the very next day to complete an onsite inspection, and took the extra time to come out again to meet with the insurance adjuster. Despite a busy season for roofs, windows, and more, 3 Rivers was able to source our choice of materials and got the job done, top to bottom, in just a few weeks! Not only that were they fast, but they were always in contact with us with project updates or for our questions, and they were meticulous in their attention to detail. I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call for another project!

Our home fell victim to a severe hail storm leaving the roof and our wallets, susceptible. After wading through the piles of roofing pamphlets, I instead turned my attention to our local 'subdivision' Facebook group and determined I would reach out to 3RR.

The owner, Jordan, and his team were very responsive to our specific needs. It matters as he lives in our subdivision and knows our homes.

The work quality was/is miles above some other companies who have worked on our same street. 3RR started immediately and every person had a task. After 3RR left that day, our yard was clean - no debris. They put tarps down for the nails and even checked our flowerbed.

Update July 24: We reached a resolution with the Central Texas Dispute Resolution Center. 3 Rivers agreed to reimburse us for the disconnected water heater vent and refund us the difference in the ridge vent and ridge cap based on the estimates from State Farm. They are also confirming the presence of the valley metal. We appreciate 3 Rivers time in working to reach an agreement.

After communicating some issues with State Farm and 3 Rivers earlier in the spring, State Farm decided to recommend an inspection of the new roof. State Farm contacted me on May 24 to schedule an inspection for June 1, and I let Jordan Ely of 3 Rivers know about the inspection on the same day. State Farm came out for the inspection on June 1, but Jordan did not attend. The inspector confirmed that Jordan overestimated the measurements for the ridge vent and Z-ridge shingles, which we paid for out of pocket. The inspector also could not confirm the presence of valley metal.

Here are some other issues I experienced and communicated with 3 Rivers and State Farm:
-3 Rivers disconnected our hot water heater vent but did not offer to reconnect
-They insisted that we pay out of pocket for the portion of the upgrades covered by the insurance company
-After I requested that they adjust the invoice to remove these costs (covered by the insurance company) before we pay, Jordan accused me of insurance fraud and threatened to put a lien on our home "and/or" take me to small claims court
-So, I adjusted the invoice myself and paid them what they were owed (after deducting what the insurance company paid out on the portion of the upgrades, minus also window screens they didn't install). They sent me a receipt on April 15 stamped with "PAID" with no explanation why they accepted this adjusted invoice.

I have requested mediation with the Central Texas Dispute Resolution Center to address some outstanding issues. Hopefully I can update this review with news of a resolution.

Professional, kind, and fair on price. Every other roofing company in San Marcos wanted to charge me a minimum even though the job wasn’t worth the outrageous minimum they charge. 3 rivers came out to my house that day and took care of the problem. Charged me what the job was worth and not some crazy made up number. I would recommend these guys to anybody. They treat you with respect and are fair on their pricing
