We had 1st Choice replace our windows with Andersen windows and our siding with LP Smartside. His team did excellent work and were great folks to work with. We love our new windows and the siding looks fantastic. The communication with Brett & the site teams was excellent, and we definitely recommend.

Brett was outstanding. No pressure appointment which we really appreciated. He gave us options came to our home a few times to triple check measurements and go over trim and color options with the installer. The install crew actually found warranty issues with a couple windows and took care of it all without us asking. Great service all around and excellent pricing. We got anderson series 100 windows for less than one other quote for off brand vinyl. Give them a chance before settling for some lesser product.

Our house was built in 1989 and desperately needed to update our 33 year old windows and front door. Brett worked with us on colors and design to pick out some great choices. The installation was quick and efficient and the installers were very respectful. When they discovered that our cedar window framing had deteriorated beyond repair, they came up with an economical solution that really improved the overall appearance of our house. We LOVE our new windows and no longer hear all of those outside noises. Our new double front door looks awesome and creates a total different look to our house. The installer took the extra time to ensure that our new double storm door was level. We expect that we will also see a decrease in gas and electricity in the next year. We would choose 1st Choice Remodeling again!

When I first met with Brett to discuss what I wanted done, I could tell that he was an honest guy. Matt was the installer and did an amazing job. Matt is creative in making sure the final product looks nice. There were a few spots that we were not sure how things were going to turn out. Matt also didn't have a clue as to how he was going to fix it but he fall short of an amazing job to make it look nice and professional.

In the Spring of 2021 we decided to move forward on an exterior remodel of our home consisting of garage doors, service doors, front door, several windows, stone, siding and all that goes with it. We had several contractor bids and signed with Brett at 1st Choice Remodeling. Brett was very personable, very knowledgeable about the products that would work best for our wants and was able to recommend houses for us to drive by to get better understanding of siding/stone colors. It is hard to picture these materials and colors on the house from a tiny swatch. Even with the supply chain delays and siding delays at the manufacture due to us ordering custom colors, Brett was in communication with us through the summer. He obtained the needed permits from our city, he advised us of product arrival ETA’s, dumpster arrivals, and stopped by now and again to check up on the progress of the job. The stone installer Mike was talkative and friendly. He took the time to find the right stone placement since they all came loose, not on a board, the end results looks wonderful! Matt the window/door installer was very dedicated to his work and we are very happy final product. Twin City Garage Doors installed our garage doors at a precise and lightening speed. Ben and his crew were meticulous! They worked diligently through all types of fall/winter weather to ensure we would be satisfied in the final work of the siding, facia, and soffit install. We are very satisfied with the final look of the completed remodel. I had all my windows replaced to my home!! I was more than happy with the entire process! Professional from initial bid to the installment. Every detail was explained throughout the process! Extremely happy and highly recommend 1st choice remodeling!

We had them replace five windows. They did a fantastic job throughout the entire process. They were extremely transparent during while giving the quote, scheduling was really smooth, and the installation team did an amazing job. I would recommend them to friends and family if they needed work and I will definitely call them again if I need any future service.

We have been in our home for a few years now and knew when we purchased it that the exterior needed updating. The original wood siding had deteriorated, original windows were drafty, and our flat roof had started to reject nails causing the membrane to become punctured. Last fall we took the step into getting bids from contractors to complete this work. About half of the companies we reached out to forgot to show up for our estimate or were generally poor with communication. Brett with 1st Choice not only showed up when he stated he would, but maintained solid communication from the initial discussion all the way until we were ready to begin the projects this spring. He was patient and informative during the estimation process answering all of our questions and helping us with the vision we had for our home. His communication, competitive pricing, experienced crew, and ability to execute on all of our projects were our deciding factors for going with 1st Choice Remodeling.

Flat Roof:
Billy and Edder removed our old flat roof that was installed with multiple panels and replaced it with a single membrane that looks immensely better than before. They also installed a slope to our flat roof to mitigate the low spots and facilitate optimal drainage. They were efficient in their work and the end result shows.

Windows:
Matt and Luis installed new windows and a front door and we are thrilled with the end result. Window quality is important but so is the install, and Matt did a great job. Our cooling bills are already lower than they were from past years and the new look is amazing. They discovered that one of our windows had a significant leak and Matt was able to rebuild the framing on the fly.

Siding:
Ben is an absolute artisan at his craft. He replaced our old wood siding with vinyl and we are incredibly happy with the outcome. Ben takes his time to make sure that every part of the install looks perfect down to touching up the paint on the trim nails. He was attentive to our questions/requests during the installation process and made useful suggestions for updating the trim around our foundation. Incredibly kind and hard working.

The problem with getting siding is that it’s a lifetime investment. If you are going to have to spend a really shocking amount of money, why would you have anyone besides 1st Choice to it for you? We changed our minds about details, even complicated ones, during the actual instillation process. Brett and his crew took all our changes in stride and even tore down some of what they had already done to allow us to make changes. His crewmen weren’t installers, they were craftsmen. For them the entire project reflects on the company and they take pride in a beautiful, finished project done exactly right. There was no caulking to cover mistakes because 1st Choice are real carpenters, not vinyl sheet hangers. They simply take pride in doing an outstanding job and, by so doing, turning our sad, little house into a real work of art for us to be proud of. 1st Choice shouldn’t be your first choice; they should be your only choice.

1st Choice did an excellent job re-roofing and re-siding our home in Savage. Brett clearly communicated throughout the process and told us exactly what was going to happen and when it would happen. I decided to go with 1st Choice for replacing my siding after meeting with several companies and seeing their work on one of my neighbor's houses. I had a significant amount of hail damage to my home in Blaine, during the June 2017 storm. I was referred to 1st Choice Home Remodelling by a neighbor. I was very impressed with Brett, who was the main person I dealt with. He was very good with communicating with my insurance company and myself. The job was finished in a timely manner as he promised. I would not hesitate to refer the company and Brett especially, very nice to deal with thru entire process!

My home suffered minor hail damage from the June 2017 hail storm that struck Minnesota. I had a couple of contractors assess the damage to determine if there was grounds for an insurance claim. There was some damage but not enough to guarantee the roof would be replaced so it was a bit of a toss up. Brett with 1st choice was the only contractor to provide an honest and true assessment when all the other contractors attempted to over sell the amount of damage in an attempt to get the business. He is straight forward, honest and has integrity which goes a long way when your putting your trust in someone for a fairly expensive replacement. He took the time to explain the insurance claim process, represented me when the assessor came and was punctual throughout the process of replacing the roof. I am extremely happy with the new roof, the workmanship, the speed and the followup throughout the process. I always recommend checking with at least 3 contractors for any project in your house and 1st choice should definitely be in that list and I’m sure you’ll be quick to understand why I made the choice to work with Brett and would recommend him for any roofing or siding project.
