Zak Construction, LLC

Discovery of a rotted piece of framing and a poorly constructed covered deck addition led to having to undertake a large construction project over the summer. I had the pleasure of working with Tim, James and their crew to get this project done.

It was a very complex job that involved a complete demo of a deck and siding elevation while maintaining the roof system. Zak Co. went above and beyond what I thought was going to be possible, despite multiple challenges and change orders during the scope of work. They worked very flexibly around my schedule, as well as helping with a Pella-induced mishap (all the doors and windows were delivered as a wrong size.) They also helped with my intentions of oversizing the framing to make a deck that would last longer than I would.

The pricing was very fair and for the quality of work we received and the attention to detail, I am extremely satisfied. I cannot recommend working with these folks for your next construction project enough.

In June Timothy gave us a quote and said he would be out and of July/early August. Towards the end of July he tells us he would come do the work in December, a little concerned considering the work is outside work with footings being poured. And the worst part is he put it back on us and said we never confirmed and gave him a deposit. The estimate had no language about the deposit which we would have happily provided. Since then we have not been able to get an email or telephone response from him.

I do hope nothing has happened to him and is the reason for a lack of response. Truly disappointing and not what I would consider professional behavior.

What a positive experience we've had with Zak construction! They got right to work moving steadily along,arriving early, most every morning. This is a good group of guys , the kind you can trust . They listened and worked hard to transform our home to what we envisioned it to be! So glad they were recommended! Hope to use them again for future projects!

Nothing but nice words could be said about this company. James and Zac are a powerhouse duo, who really have the diligence and understanding to get the project done the way you want it done. Getting to know James over the years, to see the drive and willingness that this man ensues, being a father and mentor, really shows in the quality of the work he produces. Both of these gentleman would be a great asset to any construction project!

Tim and his crew were fantastic. The deck they constructed is absolutely beautiful. Tim was excellent with communication and was able to navigate challenges deftly. I suppose the best compliment I can give is that we would gladly hire him again for another project.

I feel like today it isn't all that hard to find a contractor who can competently complete work on your home. However, what makes the difference is the EXPERIENCE you have in getting that work completed. Let's face it, you could hire four guys to do the same work - you may have the same end result but four wildly different ways of getting there.

Tim's integrity, communication and genuine character is not something I experience often these days. Combine those character attributes with his quality of work and there is no reason for me to look elsewhere when I need work done. It's safe to say that myself and my entire family have a contractor for life.

We had the pleasure of having Zak Construction work on our home in the early fall of this year (2023). We needed to have our old cedar clapboard siding removed, have water damaged areas replaced and/or repaired, fully wrap the house in Tyvek, install high-end vinyl siding and apply metal trim around all the windows, doors and roof edges. Tim and his crew were very easy to work with, showed up early every day and put in many hours of hard work to make our home weather tight and beautiful. They answered and addressed every question we had and the quality of their work was fantastic. We could not be more pleased with the results and hope to use Zak Construction in the near future to replace and expand on an existing deck. Many thanks to Tim and his crew!

Very great experience with Zak Construction, I was able to work on a renovation project with Tim, me being a carpenter myself, I know that he has a high standard for workmanship! Mr.Zak, has the integrity and honor of a military soldier with running his company, doing and amazing job paying tension to details treating his customers and employees with respect and gratitude. Just a quick shout out to Zak Construction, Tim and his crew did an amazing job, well done! Exactly what we asked for! This crew was professional through the entire experience, showed up on time and when they said they would be there. Tim consulted with me for all detail questions and allowed me to customized the project to my preferences. He even offered to go above and beyond and out of his way to make sure I was going to be completely satisfied with the end results. I am very picky and I am not an easy customer but Tim handled everything with grace, patience and professionalism. All added costs were discussed and agreed upon in advance. There were no hidden charges even though the project took a few extra days than expected. I cannot say enough good things about this crew and their workmanship! Tim did not just do the minimum but went above and beyond to make sure that my inspector would be more than happy! The project included the removal of double windows and replaced it with a sliding glass door, as well as adding this beautiful second story deck. We are extremely happy with the end results and flawless drywall work, trim, and siding adjustments. We will be hiring his team again for a future project this summer. I would highly recommend Zak Construction to anyone!
