James and his well trained crew removed the old siding and wrapped the house and garage. Installed all new. We have on the front porch a detailed area where they put in a very small section of siding it was a detail that others don't do. Hard to explain but if you seen it you would be impressed. We had some noticeable roof leaks after a large amount of rain. Our chimney flashing was in poor shape and we knew a total replacement was needed. Replacing a roof is a big investment so we had a few estimates and decided to get just one more, which was Working Class. James provided the best quote, went above and beyond to help our situation, and was on site each day of the job. Very professional and explained things well, cleaned up nicely, and good communication. We are so grateful and thankful and would 10/10 recommend Working Class!

A tree fell on our house in February, and we were left to find our own contractors after our insurance strung us along for 5 months. After much frustration we reached out to James, and he was the only roofer who not only responded but went out of his way to help us when nobody else would. He was very personable, and professional but easy to talk to. After being blown off by everyone else, it was such a blessing to have someone who was both reliable and had excellent communication through the entire process. His crew was respectful and thorough in their work, including clean up. James is very hands- on with his guys and takes personal pride in the work he and his crew does, which is a rare thing. James is a "regular guy" and good people, he began as a contractor but we are honored to now consider him part of our family. Do not hesitate to hire Working Class Roofing, they will deliver quality and treat you right. They truly went above and beyond, and I'd give them 100 stars if I could!

I can’t say enough good things about James and his business. He does amazing work and takes the time to help you understand what he’s doing and why he’s doing it. My fiancé and I have box gutters which is a specialty service and James came recommended through a client of my fiancés. He was very honest in his approach and gave us the best possible deal that he could and even went above and beyond for us to make sure that we were well taken care of. Working Class Roofing and Siding did an excellent job installing siding and window wraps on our house. The cost was reasonable, with no sudden surprise increases, and the owner gave us information on a number of different options so we could figure out what the best option was going to be for our situation. The work was done quickly and well, and they kept to the dates they gave us (in spite of the effects of severe storms that knocked out our power and made getting around town difficult for a couple of days). We did have to clean up some project debris from our yard afterward, but all in all they did an excellent job.

What impressed me the most was the clear and frequent communication. We were kept in the loop about all the details/timing for our project. If we had a question, all it took was a text to get an answer, and the replies were prompt. Usually it’s like pulling teeth to get a call or text back from a contractor, so I found Working Class’s approach really refreshing and we very much appreciated it.

Working Class ALWAYS does an incredible, first rate job. He and his crew on always prompt and professional, and the work itself is excellently done. We've used him for inspections, roof repairs, and eventually a full roof replacement after a nasty spring storm this year. His quote was reasonable, and he finished the job on time and on budget. I would recommend him to anyone needing siding or roofing, without hesitation. Anytime anyone asks me if I "know a guy", James and Working Class are my go to response.

I was referred to this place from a wholesale siding distributor.
My wife and I picked out the siding there and then asked for a referral to install it. I was given James contact info and contacted him and three other installers.

James and the Working class crew did an awesome job. He replaced the siding on the side of my house that the original builder botched when it was built. He corrected previous unknown issues and it turned out beautifully. Clean up was great. I highly recommend him and will be using him again if I need other projects completed.

This is the second time I have used Working Class Contractors. Both jobs were for roof painting. The first was a considerably older metal roof and neither one had been painted for 20+ years. In both cases, the roofs were power washed and then prepped to treat any issues including rust spots. Both roofs looked like new when James was finished. I highly recommend James, he is professional, reliable and hard-working.

I am so thankful we used Working class for our roof repair. James and his crew are professional and incredibly helpful! We had a rather tough job and they knocked it out of the park. James even came out prior to the roof repair to make sure a spot that was leaking, would stop leaking to spare us some time until he could start with he repair. When the crew arrived they wasted no time getting right to it. The crew replaced all boards needing replaced, and made sure that our roof would last for years. I moved into my home almost four years ago fully aware it would need major updates to the exterior. Thinking I wouldn't stay long, I put it out of my mind until last summer when I couldn't ignore the cosmetic work anymore. I shopped around for siding with some larger corporations, all of whom were extremely over priced. I finally found James and the Working Class team through a Google search, and I couldn't have been happier. Going with a small business was much easier and simpler. James is one of the most caring and understanding business owners, making sure he explained his plans and had everything mapped out to be sure my home would look truly brand new. He and his team put in the hours and more to complete the project in a timely manner. He was very responsive and direct, and he overall wanted to make sure I was happy with the final project. James and crew made updates to our kitchen and bathroom in January 2021 including a new tile tub surround, flooring & fixtures in both areas. James returned in April 2021 to paint those areas. We live in a home that is over 100 years old - nothing is square! Despite the challenges, James & crew remained positive and completed the jobs to everyone's satisfaction in a timely fashion. They were reliable and professional and finished in a timely fashion. They also replaced roof supports and railings on a side porch. Everything looks beautiful. We look forward to working with them again!

Highly recommended. Had multiple areas that needed addressed on our slate roof. That included a bay window and also a chimney that needed removed. There were also a few joists on the second floor that needed attention due to water damage. Everything was taken care of professionally and couldn’t ask for a nicer guy and his crew to do the job. Very straight forward and honest. Again highly recommended. Going to be my go to guy from now on.

I received 3 quotes for 2 different repairs I needed completed on our house. One repair was a hole in our roof due to wind damage. The other was needing soffit, facia and cladding covering under our gutters and around our windows and doors. I chose Working Class Contractors. James at Working Class was the most responsive, professional and reasonably priced contractor that I spoke with. His assistant Juliet was also very professional and responsive. She communicated clearly about the dates, times for project completion, and work estimates. While completing the work, James was very thorough and professional. The work was done very well, despite inclement weather. I wish more contractors were like this, and I would definitely hire Working Class Contractors again. Our house was built in 1910, and the old wood on the outside needed sealed and weatherproofed with this covering. The job is done and looks great!

Last fall we invited multiple contractors out to our 150-year historical home, to quote out repairing the roofs our house & garage. Working Class Co. under bid all the other competitors, by over 10%. James started the project about a month after we signed the contract. He immediately tackled the garage. First, he stripped off two layers of old shingles, down to the plywood, felted and installed new shingles. This project also included installing venting along the apex of garage, to allow attic heat to escape, during the summer months. James completed this whole first phase in a few days.
Then he moved to house roof. The major issue here was the flat seamless metal roof, sitting above our master bedroom had nail hole leaks. Because there was no crawl space above this bedroom ceiling, we were unable to identify the exact leak locations. James decided the problem could be addressed by installing a membrane covering over this flat roof section. He proposed a vinyl membrane, laid over R6 foam board. He also removed the old box gutters, surrounding this flat section, and installed new stout 6” gutters, that matched the existing pitched roof gutters. To ensure flowing rain water, wouldn’t seep under the membrane, he removed 3 ft of the surrounding roof shingles, ran the membrane to that edge, and installed new shingles to cover the membrane’s edge.
The third and final phase was another flat membrane section, over added on upstairs bathroom. The issue here, was the original pitched roof, sat slightly above this small flat roof section. Strong rains from the south, would blow up under pitched roof soffit and penetrate into the house. James tackled this problem by diverting rain flow into those newly installed gutters, away from falling onto this flat roof.
Inspecting the project, I was very pleased! But I’ve held off this review until after all the snow had melted and experiencing the first spring rains, in order to verify the new gutters worked as designed. I happy to state, there are no new staining of the bedroom ceiling, or rain intrusion into our upstairs back hallway.
We are so pleased! But the word is now out around town, as to the great service Working Class Co. provides. James also does indoor remodeling and wood floor restoration. We weren’t ready to commit to this new project, and found out he is now booked up on indoor projects, to next fall. So, if you have a roof or remodeling project, be sure to request and early quote, for you may have to wait to schedule an opening. But James is definitely worth the wait!

We had significant water damage in our family room from our bay window. The entire assembly had to be replaced, wall and sills needed replaced or repaired as well as external facing and gutter work. This was a huge job! James did wonderful work!! We are so pleased with the outcome. He and his office are great communicators and so pleasant to work with. The cost was very reasonable; we were pleasantly surprised. We highly recommend Working Class Contractor and are excited to have additional projects completed in the near future.
