I just had a partial bathroom remodel done by Waal Construction, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Anymore, it's difficult to find someone that can do their job and that you can trust. Fortunately, I found Waal Construction during a google search for basement remodels in my area. Tracy is very time efficient and very detailed. My Husband and I are very happy with the Job we had done in our dining room. Our ceiling was falling in and Waal Construction came in and tore the old out and put a new one up. Their expert advice and handling of this project was tremendous and I recommend them highly!!!

Tracy and his team complete a large 16x28 deck on the back of our home, complete with a door replacement. The final quality of both the materials used and the construction were exceptional, but the communication was what set the experience apart. We ended up needing to move a water spigot and dryer vent for the deck, so he made several trips to meet with us before starting the project so we could agree on the best options. He also took the time to meet us at Lowe's to look at replacement doors and deck skirting options.

He advised us on what we needed to do regarding the preperation, and kept us informed on his expected timelines. Once all the prepwork was completed, the construction of the project took no time at all. I could not speak more highly of this experience, and we plan to use Waal Constrcution for all our future home project needs.

I hired Waal Construction to help finish my barn space so it had more usable bedroom space and a bathroom upstairs. I was referred by friends who had excellent experiences with him and I was equally impressed! Tracy is extremely dependable (read on time, responsive and communicative, and delivers on his word), very kind, and a true craftsman. He was patient with my decision making process, gave me plenty of options and solutions to some pretty tough issues with my projects, and was so incredibly knowledgeable. He was mindful of my budget concerns and gave me all sorts of scenarios and pricing structures to fit my needs. And he did an incredible job! But probably the gem of it all is he can be trusted. His word is good and his character is so top notch. I wasn't even home most of the time when he came or went because of single parenthood and working a lot. But I never had to worry at all. He had keys to my place and I never once had second guesses about that. In this day and age... PRICELESS! I have told everyone I've talked to about his work and I will continue to recommend him 100% for any construction or renovation work.

Tracy was amazing! I needed several projects completed at my vacation home—a new door, siding fix, and other related projects. We had water damage under an exterior door from a spouting issue. The project involved deconstructing and replacing the current deck as well. He broke down the project details, provided phases of work in case the job was more extensive than expected, with fair pricing quotes. He was incredibly quick and responsive to work with. And the work he did was fantastic, and made sure to reconstruct the deck and door in a way that help protect against future damage.

Tracy replaced the water damaged wood under my door and rebuilt the small deck that caused the problem in the process.

Tracy is extremely friendly and professional. When we pointed out our issue he identified the underlying cause, potential for further unseen damage, and quoted us on a sliding scale of potential needed work.

Day of, Tracy was prompt and did an exceedingly good job with everything. Even sharing progress photos when he was done to really demonstrate the process and need.

I can’t say enough good things about Tracy and Waal Construction. What we thought was a simple drywall patch job turned into a much bigger reno project when Tracy found mold behind our wall. First, he got us connected with a great company to do the mold remediation. We appreciated the recommendation and this connection atreamlined the work that needed to be done. Tracy remained flexible and available while we waited for the other work to be completed. Then when his work started, Tracy did high quality work for an incredibly reasonable price. He was professional and trustworthy. He also was always there to work when he said he would be there…this is different than what I have experienced with other contractors who leave you wondering if and when they will show up to complete a job. So I appreciated the clear communication and reliable presence Tracy offered. Would happily recommend him for drywall and other contractor jobs!

Tracy did an amazing job! Was very thorough in his explanation of how he would repair my issues. We hired him and he just completed the work this week (March 20). He replaced a storm door, replaced downspouts, did some drywall repair (amazing work on this) and enclosed a garage door entrance that we no longer wanted along with replacing siding. We hired Waal Construction to handle our kitchen remodel and we are so happy we did! Even before we started Tracy took his time to plan the new space and layout for the kitchen. He was very thorough and took the time to talk through some surprises that popped up when taking the garage down. He helped us understand the additional costs but also explained why they were important. This wasn't his fault but it helped to understand the why around what was needed to move on with the job. Even with the surprises he still stuck to his estimated schedule of 3-4 weeks to turn our garage into a front office and dining room/new patio exit. Waal Construction did a wonderful job on a recent bathroom remodel for us. Waal Construction recently completed a project at our house to build a wall to close off a bedroom in our finished lower level. The project included framing, insulation, electric, drywall, finishes, painting, door hanging, etc.

In short, Tracy is incredible. His work was the highest quality from the estimate process to the final clean-up. His attention to detail throughout and care for the project was so impressive. He is knowledgeable, kind, and a great communicator. It felt like he cared about the outcome as if it was his own home.

I hired Waal Construction for two projects:
Project 1: Remodeled kitchen, removed wall, reconfigured kitchen layout, Installed tile flooring

We had a "shoe box" kitchen that barely fit three people. Tracy came over to our house for a consultation and developed a plan to remove the wall between the dining room and kitchen, install a bar/counter, and open up a window into the living room. He laid out a plan to completely reconfigure the kitchen by moving the stove, sink, and fridge to a more ideal configuration and double the amount of cabinet space and counter space. He demoed the space, prepped the walls for cabinets, installed beautiful tile flooring and developed a solution for the ceiling transition (where the wall previously was). The finished space was amazing. It completely changed the first impressions of our home, and created a space perfect for cooking, conversing, hosting, and of course eating. Tracy was wonderful to work with, quick to respond, creative at solving problems, and true to his word.

Project 2: Finished my basement, framed in walls, created five seperate spaces (bedroom, living room, storage room, bathroom, and laundry room)

I bought a new house with a mostly unfinished basement. We gutted what was down there and Tracy helped layout a plan to maximize the space. He then framed the walls and helped me develop the plan and and product list for lighting, electrical, drywall, and floor. He helped me identify projects that I could do on my own to save me money, and prioritized aspects of the project that would be too difficult or time consuming for me. This project transformed our basement into a walkout basement and doubled our non-bedroom living space.

Had let a few mid-size projects get away from me for too long. Waal Construction was an answer to prayer! Tracy clearly explained everything he would do, how long it would take, and what it would cost. Then he did exactly what he said he would do, with a level of care and precision that I, frankly, wasn't expecting. Best of all, he welcomed my young daughter (who is intensely curious and was dying to watch and help) throughout all of it. She wouldn't stop talking about all the ways she got to help and what she learned! I will definitely use Waal Construction again the next time I have a project that I just don't have the time, patience, or skills for. Great service, great price, great results.
