I had them remove the snow off my roof this winter. They were quite expensive, but if the get it done quickly and do a good job, fine. I am a disabled vet so I cannot do it myself. Now that I can get on my roof with the snow melted, I see that they smashed the crap out of my roof cap, causing damage that is causing leaks, and ripped several shingles. My teenage boys did better work for less when they were here years prior...

We absolutely LOVE the services provided by Wintergreen LLC. I would recommend their services to anyone looking to make their backyard space beautiful.

The entire process was easy to work through and the finished product is unbelievable. Being that my husband and I are on opposite work schedules, Wintergreen LLC remained responsive to each of us and coordinated times that would suit both schedules. The price for the services offered were reasonable, considering they landscaped my entire backyard and part of the front rock bed.

They are very affordable and do an awesome job plowing. But I had a service done and talked with the owner whom I set up regular service with. I sent my email as instructed via text. I was never called when snow came. The blizzard came and I called to set up a plow. The owner was gruff with me and said they were not taking on any more clients. I explained to him we set up a month ago and he snapped at me about my own plow truck. Which isn't working. He refused service and left me snow stranded.

I run a business in Eagle River and enlisted Wintergreen, this winter, for our snow removal service due to poor service with another contractor last year. I will say that I am more than happy with the service they have provided, thus far, with the unprecedented snow storms we have had over the past week.

Their service has been extremely efficient, thorough and cost effective. Moving into the Spring, I will be looking at them for our summer landscaping as well. I couldn't be happier and once again, just want to say thanks.

I want to apologize for a fake review posted here in the past that was not me. I worked for them years ago and am grateful for that oppuritunity. The fake review was deleted some time ago, however an apology was never issued. Seeing the owner yesterday reminded me of the error. To Chris and entire Wintergreen family, I am truly sorry for any negativity genrated due to this error.

Very poor services and charging for things not accomplished. Telling my wife the rain would not affect the work after it had been raining for two weeks already before they started. Then when calling about the invoice I was threatened to be sued for not paying for the services not rendered. They also claim to have a military discount at 3% which is less than the credit card convenience fee of 3.5%. Avoid this service at all costs or basically get ripped off.

These guys were amazing!!! Showed up and got a huge huge huge job done very quickly. On top of that, my yard looks better an anyone else who did it.

Always there after snowfall is completed. These guys WORK! Expect them at your place early in the morning or late at night to GET THE JOB DONE! Ice on your driveway? Well, they will bring a sand truck so you’re not qualifying for Olympic Ice Dancing while taking out the trash. Wintergreen is the real deal and are reliable and professional.

These guys always show up, and are far more cost effective than other services.
Invoiced as used as opposed to a high monthly fee.

They were on time and went right to work. They did a excellent job. They truly went above and beyond. My yard looked great!

Hired for grading my back yard and filling in a gulley area. The quoting process was good. The scheduling process was a bit tough due to a busy season. They showed up earlier than they said they would on the day of digging, they did the job they said they would. Chris was on site first thing in the AM to line out the crew and answer any questions, the crew was friendly and professional and finished by 5pm that day, I think. We have two dogs that require either my husband or I to be home if we have any house or yard work done - it was fine. I wouldn't hesitate to request their services again.

We initially contacted this gentleman to do a yard clean up and then weekly service. He told us he would drive by the yard, take a look, and give us a quote for the cleanup. He gave us a quote of 295 for an initial clean up and 70 for weekly service. We got a glorified crop circle in the back yard. We called and complained and he did send his guys out again and they did mow a little more the second time. No weeding no raking nothing. We were going to just do the work ourselves ( eat the 295)and be happy with weekly service, but they never returned. No calls. No explanations. I have NEVER done any bad reviews, this is my first one.. I DO NOT RECOMEND. I wish I could post the pic of my crop circle, but I think you know what those look like!

These guys impress the heck outta me. They have been on time if not slightly early every time. Very knowledgeable and professional. They do a whole lot more than mowing and plowing. I highly recommend this company. Thank you!

Very inexperienced.
Wintergreen was our mowing service, we thought we would give them a chance to fix our retaining wall. What a horrible experience! The owner, Chris, was unable to do the job, he was in over his head. he sent two young people who had not been trained to do the job.
The job was a disaster and it was the worst experience we have ever had. We tried to add money to the original fee to fix his bad work but he still came up short.
When we pointed out his short coming he used foul language and made false accusations that where hard to tolerate.
Chris is a lawn and plow guy but construction is not what you would want from him.
His hand, Brian, however, is a good man.

UPDATE 2021: Another great plow season well under way, and we're still happy with the results and customer service. They are prompt at communicating and do a nice job making the place look nice!!

Chris plowed out around our hangar, airplanes, and tie downs and did a great job. He had the whole place cleared out before we got in to work when it snowed overnight and it looked fantastic. Chris is very nice and professional and his prices for plowing are reasonable.

Just avoid at all cost. Horrible experience. Unprofessional & awful communication. We asked multiple times to simply be made aware of when they were planning to come on our property to work (we have dogs) and they kept showing up spontaneously with no apologies. When we asked to pay remaining balance and pause work we were met with passive aggressiveness and spontaneous new and high bills. We reached out to ask questions but no one responded till two months later again filled with disrespect and lacking any documentation of their claims. Do your yard and bank account a favour and go elsewhere.

Posting a review of service is not bullying its a common practice which is why you have multiple negative reviews. Attacking your customers for reviews and sharing personal information about them does however, fit the description of bullying so I have printed off your reply for my legal team and contacted google to report. Would you like for me to post our text messages and emails online to show the world how you communicated with me disrespectfully? I can if you would like? I can also show in writing your inconsistencies in emails/quotes/text messages where you just can't seem to own your part or mistakes. Just because you offer a military discount doesn't give you a pass to treat your customers poorly. Have you read your other reviews on here? You have a pretty common theme throughout of disrespect and poor customer service. If you don't like he feedback you get consider looking at how you handle your business and making changes. Your comments show you didn't read my email at all where i explained what our concern was. This isn't about not watering a lawn LOL. This is about your hurt ego when I stated we needed to pause work after you refused to communicate and ASKED YOU for an updated bill so we could be sure to pay for what you had accomplished-. We also promptly sent out a check for that cost. As you stated below you were "too busy" to get back to me for two months so I left a review. I tried to communicate but you were "too busy." We paid you over 9,000 for work and refuse to pay more for work that was not done. I left a review to warn others of our experience something others have already done about you. You wanted to make it personal so now I am editing this post to include more detail. Does this make you happy? You are still incapable of taking any responsibility and would prefer to fight about a review when I am still waiting on you to respond to my emails. I can't call you to discuss as clearly you require all communication to be in writing as you are not a man of your word and your word changes to fit your needs best. Interesting you have time to send a reply to this review but can't seem respond to my emails without waiting two months? The only child in all of this is you. Good job making it even more clear why people should avoid you.

I have no complaints about the quality of their work but their business practices are shady if not illegal. Without my consent or knowledge they kept my debit card on file then it used and caused other scheduled payments to be declined by my bank. I requested a refund of the bank fees I incurred and $50 for my inconvenience and having to cancel my debit card. They have refused. I will be seeking legal action against them for fraud.

We used Wintergreen for snow plowing and they always did a great job for us. Used them from 2017 to early 2019.

I have a tricky driveway and yard to plow and these guys did a fantastic job! Will definitely use them again.

This summer I was quoted no more than $1500 by Wintergreen LLC to provide grading, excavation and 2 window wells for 11406 Borealis Street.

We have paid $700.00 to date for a job that is not done. I wish I could attach photos to this review.

I told the contractor "Chris Shill" Wintergreen LLC that the property MUST!!! be graded so that snow melt, rain and drainage goes away from the foundation and house; that window wells also needed to be done for 2 windows. I also told Chris all this needed to be done to meet my new construction inspectors guidelines. (Owens Inspections). I was assured by "Chris Shill" at Wintergreen LLC that he would get the job done for the agreed upon price of $1500.

The property currently does not meet grading code guidelines and is in a worse condition than before work done by Wintergreen LLC. With the existing snow melt (I wish I could post photos here) water and ice pooled up, it's frozen & iced up around the house and foundation as well as a huge area where snow melt and drainage pools in front of the house. Very DANGEROUS!!! You can still see at least a 23 degree downward slope towards the house. There is the potential for injury & damage as a result.

***WARNING*** Do not do business with this company. I have paid $700 for a job not done and refuse to pay the remaining $800 until the job is done.

This company has the balls to actually file a notice of "right to lien" for a job they didn't even finish.

I too should have read their BBB reviews before doing business with them.

Very disappointed in this business in the way they keep records and try to double bill for services then try to collect twice on it. I know of someone that thought they were supporting their local Eagle River businesses by using local and went to Wintergreen LLC . She is a single parent and has little money but always pays her bills in full. Now Chris of Evergreen is placing a lien on her house after she proved she paid? So sad.

Wintergreen LLC in Eagle River has been handling my homes in Eagle River and in Wasilla for about 5 years. They handle both the summer lawn maintenance and the winter snow plowing and I could not be happier. I would recommend them to anyone.
They are super easy to talk to and take care all of my outdoor needs.

Chris and Wintergreen have been plowing my yard for over 5 years and I have to say that these guys get the job done - on time with attention to detail. I don't need to call them - they are here when I need it and are thorough.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I should have read the poor reviews about this company on the Better Business Bureau's website before hiring them to put a new lawn in for me. The quality of the lawn that they put in was absolutely abysmal. I had to hire another company to fix their mistakes! Not only was the lawn they put in horrible, but the treatment I received when approaching the owner (Chris Shill) about the quality of work that was performed was just as nasty. Again I can't stress enough how poor of an operation that Wintergreen Landscaping is running. Stay far away from this business!!
