Winston Brown is about as white glove as you can get when it comes to remodeling your home! They are professional, thoughtful, and transparent in their timelines and managing expeditions. Our remodel was done on budget, on time, with several unexpected circumstances. We could not recomend them any higher. Looking forward to renovate our kitchen and master bathroom with them in the future!

I started this company in 1974. We will be celebrating our 50 years in business this year. My son, jake, now runs this remodeling and construction company , and has a strong presence in three cities. He now operates in Lawrence, Topeka, and Kansas City. We have always been the number one rated remodeling company in the area, and jake will continue this tradition.

Have had Winston Brown do several projects for us. All the people we’ve worked with (Jake, Matt, Chuck, Monica, Dan, Josh, Richard, Brian) have been great. Good people, quality work, competitive prices, they’re just a good company to deal with. We’re happy with how all the projects turned out and would go to WB for any future projects. The work proceeded at a steady pace even though W-B had to deal with supply chain problems. Very professional workers (and friendly too!) Always responded to questions and concerns without defensiveness. Our satisfaction was their primary concern. We would use them again if the situation arises and wholeheartedly endorse them.

We could not be more pleased with our recently added three season enclosed porch and renovated back yard. Jake Brown and his crew of professional designers and experienced carpenters created a backyard oasis that we will enjoy for years. The project was completed in a timely manner, came in on budget and the result was better than we ever imagined, particularly the landscaping and the blending of existing structures to the addition.

Started a simple bathroom project in September 2022. Did not get it done until late January 2023. The job was well done, but “a failure to communicate” was an ongoing problem. Not happy with that aspect. I used Winston-Brown previously, a few years ago and was pleased. Poor communication is their downfall this time.
They claimed a shortage of workers, which I don’t doubt, but continue to advertise for more business both on the Web and on TV.
Doesn’t make sense to me if they are already short on qualified workers.

WB did a fantastic job with our brand new deck and sunroom. Tim and Mitch were very professional, communicative, helpful and responsive. And, others, including Brian, were very helpful and thorough. WB completed an incredible outdoor space for us in April 2022 that began in November 2021. The project includes a concrete retaining wall, stamped concrete patio, stone fireplace with benches, a grill and bar area with granite, ceiling fan, heaters, dual drop-down clear vinyl and regular screens, and the construction of access stairs off of an existing deck. I highly recommend their team and we are very pleased with their professionalism, expertise, and excellent workmanship. From top to bottom, they employ good people who are kind, honest and reliable. That is not to say we didn’t have unforeseen issues…..Covid hit them and us, winter weather was unpredictable, plumber and electrician subs were elusive, and there were some minor supply-chain issues. Through it all, we were kept well-informed and knew who was showing up and when. When we called or texted, we received responses within the hour. Their BuilderTrend online system allowed us to track our project from start to finish. AWESOME experience!

Oh my! If you saw the “before” pictures and our life “before” (we have been foster parents for 20 years!), you would truly appreciate the “after”! ❤️ We had our kitchen, our laundry room, 1/2 bath, master bedroom, master bath and two other upstairs bathrooms redone and our house has changed from “chaotic clutter” to “modern peaceful” surroundings. Not only does our house look amazing, they were on budget (with the exception of a few repairs they found during the tear-out, but everything was okay’d by us)! The designer helped us with deciding where more costly options would really make a difference and where we could save. The actual builders were hardworking, cleaned up everything to look better than it did before. They also managed to get everything in a timely manner (during COVID, a minor miracle in itself). We are so happy with how much better our home flows and looks. Now if furniture orders from other companies could just get in, we’d be done! We can’t thank Winston Brown enough for all they did for our family! ❤️

Winston Brown designed and remodeled our three bathrooms, combined two bedrooms into one to create a guest suite and most recently completed a total remodel of our kitchen. So happy with the results!

New shower in our bathroom is awesome. Professional work with much attention to detail. Tim was friendly and kept us informed and involved in the process. We were very happy with his work.

We had to wait quite a while and there were some confusion with communication. When they got to the job they were very professional and timely. It was a beautiful job and we are very satisfied.

So I calling this company about 3 weeks ago to come look at our house for a few items needing fixed. After waiting 1 week with no returned phone call I went ahead and called back the same receptionist answered and said she found my name on the list she will let BRIAN know, BRIAN called me finally and setup a meeting on 8/20 which ended canceling an hour before it was supposed too happen, rescheduled for today 8/21 at 430 which this time no call no showed. During these times I would recommend doing business with someone that values your time.

I did a major addition and complete kitchen remodel with WB in 2012, which made our home more enjoyable and functional. I went back to WB in 2017 for a master bath and laundry room remodel which transformed those spaces. The whole team is great. The attention to detail, quality, and making the process as smooth as possible was really important to me. I would highly recommend WB for a project of any size!

I had a enclosed breezeway that was really in bad shape; now I have a great room with a great floor, huge windows and well lighted. We use it as an extra room it is so great.

Winston Brown is an ethical and high quality remodeling company. Jake contacted the city to find out about the easement in the back of our house. He and his designers then worked with us to make sure our project still provided what we wanted, in spite of the easement restrictions. Their employees are professional and friendly. They work hard and produce wonderful results. We love our new "sun-room" and everyone who has seen it is VERY impressed. Thank you, Winston Brown!

The end product is great. Huge upgrade to our master bath. Only concern was some confusion at times with communication of other workers with the main worker in scheduling jobs and then getting a person out to finish up a couple details. There were a couple do overs, but that can happen with most any job. Overall very pleased and would definitely contract with them again.

We contracted with them to do a total remodel of our kitchen, foyer and dining room floor. IT was great not having to deal with subcontractors. Their project manager was always available to answer questions and fix issues that came up. Job was completed on time and beyond our expectations. I now have a fully functional chef's kitchen with all the bells and whistles. It wouldn't have happened without all those involved through Winston Brown. Will definitely have them do our next project.

Their crews are very professional, personable and conscientious about making sure they kept us as comfortable as possible during the remodel. They kept us informed about timelines and Matt was so helpful giving us options and suggestions along the way. We would definitely have them do more work for us in the future.

We had our deck flooring replaced with composite flooring and a new sun lattice placed over the hot tub. Both of these items were installed very professionally and look beautiful. There were a number of other projects that needed repairing including siding, trim, windows, and a small garage door. All of the work was completed very professionally as well. We are now looking a updating our master bathroom and will call Winston Brown again to assist us with that project.

Winston Brown built us a sun room attached to the back of our house. I appreciated their willingness to work with us on the price, yet be uncompromising in quality. The workmanship is top of the line. They offered design ideas that really enhanced the project. The work was completed quickly yet with great care and precision and there were no surprises or additional expenses. The room has become my new office. I highly recommend them.
