Window World of the Triad

We have used Window World in Winston Salem since 2017. They have done all of our windows and did our gutters for keeping leaves out. Today we had them do our front door with glass sides. It is black door on the outside and white on the inside. Looks nice BUT on the outside many white areas that the guys had to use like a black marker to cover up the white since it is a black door outside. Apparently only one coat of black spray. This isn't acceptable since we paid $8400 for this new black door and glass panels. We were thinking of using them for our kitchen door and basement door but probably won't. When one pays $8400 for a brand new door and need a black marker to fill in the white marks that were imperfections, naw won't happen.

Purchased a sliding patio door to replace an old french door. From sales to installation I am extremely satisfied with Window World. Got honest price from Dave Pegram our sales consultant. Robert and his father Victor provided excellent installation on the product, surpassing my expectations in 95 degree heat. Will recommend Window World easily to whoever wants advice on home improvements.

Dean came out to replace few windows today. He did a great job! On time, very professional. Lifetime warranty really works!!

The door install is to a 5 star out of 5 good. The guys were very professional and courteous. Great product and the best for the same exacting specs and product offered elsewhere. The guys went overboard to do an excellent job and took there time; not just slapping them in and running down the road and saying, see ya later guy’s. : )

Have a couple of windows that the seal is broken so I called Window World and was contacted by Grayson who came out to see what I needed. Turns out that I only need to replace the sash. He was kind enough to track down original manufacturer and called them to verify what I needed. Can’t say enough about the professionalism, great young man.

We are loving our windows so far and the awesome team of professionals that made them happen from Rick, who was so patient with our questions, designed us a custom slider to replace french doors, and updated our order when we changed our mind to go with the fresh, clean gridless look, to the installation team of Julio and Roberto, who worked with us to get certain rooms done first and make those custom sliders a reality. Only annoying thing was residue left on the windows by the manufacturer that the guys had to remedy.

I bought a bay window and several replacement windows. The windows came sooner than I expected, as they were a special order. And the installation went off without a hitch. The two builders who put in the windows were a joy to watch. I am so happy with the windows and with the experience. I will be back to buy more.

We had the BEST experience with our window replacement. Their value compared to other companies is huge difference. The windows are awesome and the customer service and installation is superior! I would highly recommend Window World!!

I am very dissatisfied with the windows and the door. Trying to have them fix anything or get ahold of anyone is very difficult. Calling the person that was the person that came out, he goes on more parties than being able to talk to the person. Then getting ahold of the manager was difficult. I wish I had gone with another company. They told me I would have a small interest rate, and it is way higher than I was qualified, and they go through wellsfargo, which I have had problems with them in the past. If I knew that I would have had homedepot or lowes do my windows, I would have probably had a better outcome. I am very disappointed in their work professionalism experience and lack of taking care of their customers. Yes, my windows look nice, but they are still drafty. The door was hung up , and there is a huge gap where air is coming through. You can see it when you are looking at the door. Take pride in everything you do is a quote I was taught growing up. Make things are right and not rushed. If you rush things, then things don't get done corectly

I have owned Window World windows for 17 years. They did a great job installing them. They make a quality window and have an excellent warranty. I have had 1 minor issue with a window. Dean came out and fixed it quickly and professionally. I would recommend Window World for your home. Thank you !

So disappointed in this company. I ordered windows to replace the ones on the front of my home. They came today to install and not one of the windows was measured correctly. All windows now have to be returned to the company and reordered. I called them and told them I would not be reordering from them. One window I can see a mistake but all of them not fitting is an issue. I would stay away from doing business with Window World

I met with one of the Window world team who did everything to make my experience better. The new correct windows have now been installed and Jack was kind enough to watch over the project. I understand everyone makes mistakes but they took responsibility for this and made it right.

They are absolutely beautiful and we have gotten so many positive comments about them. The installer was there on time each day and did an excellent job! I would definitely recommend Window World of the Triad.

the entire process was clear, thorough and thoughtful. never any preassure. the sales representative educated me and i could have gone elsewhere. the installers(louis and jose) were helpful and took their time and were very friendly and thoroughly cleaned up. financials were clear and professional and all questions were answered. if you have to do this, do it with window world. i can actually tell that my heat is running more efficiently with my new windows. very happy with the product and the experience.

Great experience all around. Was recommended by my parents who used them 15 years ago and are still satisfied with their windows. After shopping around, they were Best pricing compared to several other quotes from competitors and we also felt it was best value for the $. Delivery and install appointment was 2 weeks ahead of schedule and got us setup for install just a couple of days after windows being delivered . The install crew was prompt and showed up exactly when they said they would , and these guys did exceptional job, installing 23 windows in just one day. They completed trim and finishing touches half way into day 2, and left things just as clean as when they arrived . The quality of install was great..as someone with building/construction background and education, I can say it passed my extra critical inspection. Windows were set square and plumb and the trim work and flashing was done very well, with proper angles and drip edges to ensure rain and moisture kicks away from the house. 10 out of 10, would recommend and think they are easily the best bang for your buck all around.

Window World showed up on time and did a great job for me. The fit and finish on the sliding glass door exceeded expectations. My sales rep was very thorough and did a great job of explaining all available options.

Last update: March 3, 2025 We are finally done! Kyle did a beautiful job on the last downstairs window and entry door with the half moon window above. I will say after all the aggravation you can read about below, it turned out great and I do love the look of everything.

Update: Feb 1, 2025 and we have all but 1 large window as they reordered the wrong one again, the entry door and half moon window above. This time it was the right size but wrong type. And we have no screens on the other 2 big windows. Found that out today when they came to install and asked where the screens were. We should have the other windows and door within the next couple of weeks and I will update again. But honestly at this point, everytime we think it will be over I don't hold my breath because I know it's not. I don't think I've ever dealt with a company that made this many mistakes.

Just for reference we signed the final contract 11/12/2024.

So far our experience has been less than stellar except for our installer Kyle (he's been great). Other than Kyle, there has been a lack of communication, a sales pitch full of lies, and disappointment. We read great reviews and received numerous recommendations for Window World so I thought let's skip the BS and go straight to them. The salesman came, spent way too long on a sales pitch when we were the ones that called and wanted it and not enough time measuring. Our biggest issues was our entryway and 2 picture windows. He convinced us to get all our windows at once which is fine and we agreed that would be great for resale in the future. He said it would be 6-8 weeks for install. No problem, that lines up perfectly. 8 weeks came and went so my husband calls because we haven't heard anything. The person said oh yeah I saw your order on the truck that came in last week so we can schedule install but they had to contact the install team to find out when. When they called back they told us oh sorry your door didn't come and won't be here until the end of February so we weren't going to install until everything came in. Well that's disappointing but fine, can we schedule the windows install at least? They said sure and set is up. Install guys get here and we find out the 2 picture windows broke in transit and no one sent them back for replacements so we can't get them. While they are here we also find out the salesman measured our bathroom window incorrectly so they can't install that one either. We've already paid half up front but we are very unhappy with how this all went. No one communicates within their business and they leave it up to the installers to deliver the bad news to customers instead of telling us up front and letting us rearrange schedules. Not one time in all the calls and texts did anyone mention the broken windows, only the missing door. I *may* update my stars once everything gets installed but it's looking like Feb-March IF the windows and entryway comes in one piece in transit.

Chris did a great job coming out helping us decide on new windows. No pressure. We actually called him to come back and measure all the windows- we were only going to replace the front of the house… he showed me different style windows and we made our selection …. The installers - Juan and Jorge worked very hard. Kept the area clean and answered any questions. They installed 21 windows in a day and half. VERY PLEASED!! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had 8 new windows put in. Over all my experience was great with Window World. The representative Chris Stonehouse was knowledgeable and quick to respond. The crew that completed the install were friendly, patient with my questions and did excellent work. I highly recommend the whole team.

We love Window World!! They replaced our windows 15+ years ago and just recently put new vinyl siding on our whole house. Work crew was polite and worked very quickly. Workmanship is great! WW is by far the best quality and most affordable in our area.

Window World replaced 19 windows for us in November 2022. Now, a year & half later, 2 of our windows have broken pieces. We called & were told those pieces break all the time so it'd be no problem to repair. That was 3 phone calls & filling out service request online. Still no repair! So use caution when choosing Window World. Not real happy with their service department right now.

Window World replaced my roof and replaced one of my back doors. They turned the back door into a bay window and resided that area of my house. They did such a great job, I highly recommend them!!

Rick, our salesman made the entire process simple and stress free. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient and detail oriented. Rick was always available to answer any questions I had along the way and most important, he was eager to help me work through our many design options while staying within our budget. I’m truly so grateful because he helped me manage every aspect of these projects. I look forward to working with him again on our next round of home renovations.

Window World installed 17 windows plus a bay window. It took several weeks to receive the order and installation took two days. We are so satisfied that we will be placing an order for a new entry door. The first photo is the bay window before and the one with dark trim is after. Rick offered ideas about changing the trim to add accent colors to bring out colors in roof. Rick will be quoting the new door as well.

When we first started thinking about new windows for our home, we were overwhelmed with the many options. I researched some companies online and I started to ask my colleagues at work. Three of my coworkers had used Window World and were extremely pleased. That was proof enough for me. From my first phone call to WW , I was very impressed with their kindness and their commitment to my satisfaction. Clay made a wonderful impression when he came over to quote the job, measure windows and just discuss what my options were. He went out of his way to make sure that I was going to be very satisfied. Kelly made sure he sent an exceptional crew, and Roberto and Julio did not disappoint! I’m still amazed at what they did in such a short amount of time! I can’t say enough good things about my experience with WW, and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner!

I would like to place a review for window world. My first experience with window world was back in the early 2000s. I replaced every window in my home for under $1500. Those windows looked amazing and improved the cooling and heating within the house. Those windows are still going strong today.
I have since sold my home to my nephew and I am replacing windows in my current home. I can’t tell you how pleased I am. They have helped me many times since my first experience and I have always been satisfied. Their lifetime warranty is absolutely the best warranty that you can get anywhere.

Beyond grateful and thankful for the WW crew!
We are in process of new construction at our home and contracted with another window company; short of the sad story is we were sold and received a subpar product and a product we did not want/agree too. We discussed the issues with "NoName" company and explained the window's received and installed were not in line with what we were sold; 6 months later and after many rounds with "NoName" company we had enough. We did some research, called a few other window companies and of the (7) companies only THREE were willing to come out and hear/see our predicament.
We chose to move forward with Chuck and his team at Window World. Boy am I glad we did! Night and day process from start to finish; Chuck S. triple checked all his measurements and notes, he made sure we fully understood that we were and ARE a valued customer.
Our window's came in sooner than expected (YAY), the installers were scheduled within the week, and the install was completed same day! **15 window's to remove with care and 15 new WW window's to install**
Roberto and Julio were fabulous; addressed any issues or questions before getting started, respectful of our property, cleaned up all installation scrap materials, and completed a walk through to ensure we were happy before leaving.
The quality of our WW window's is leaps and bounds over "NoName" company!!! And I'll say this, they don't just stand by their window's...they really do stand on them!

This place is a dealer of Windsor windows. I called to see if they had a specific window that is made by Windsor and explained that I was only interested in that particular window and did not want to waste my time driving up there if they didn't have one on display. They told me they did have that window on display. I dropped what I was doing, picked my child up from school early. Drove 45 min one way. When I get there they did not have the window I was looking for. But they did immediately try to show me a different window that i had already researched and was not interested in. They also tried to put the blame on a new employee but I heard this (new employee) ask whoever was there beside her before she gave me an answer. The new employee did exactly what she should have. I believe whomever she asked didn't know, and didn't care. I believe they said what they needed to just to get me in the store. Bad business and will not waste any more time with this company.

Jack G outstanding to work with, you tell him what you need and he's got it..no pressure on the spot sale..Windows and siding employees 5 stars. Respectful, did not rush .high quality workmanship . I recently had an issue with two sashes. They came out and replaced them in less than 10 minutes!!!! The guy was so nice, knew exactly what to do…and ZIP-ZAP…He was out of here!!!
They REALLY do stand by their product!

Master window installer Robert and his father Victor showed up at 9:15am to install nine double-walled, gas-filled windows on three sides of the house. There was a very narrow space between a long line of azalea bushes and the wall. They navigated this with no damage to the bushes whatsoever. They installed all windows, sealed them, cleaned them, vacuumed up the detritus, and completed the outside insulation and external facings in under five hours, signed and sealed by 2:45pm. It was a pleasure watching Robert's efficiency. Not a wasted motion, absolutely no downtime. Victor was delightful and thorough. These two men knew exactly what they were doing and Window World has supplied a master product. I have so much light inside the condo now, but no one can see in from the outside. It looks fantastic and it has made a real difference in the way the inside of the condo feels in terms of warmth in winter. I know the same thing will happen in the summer with the coolness. I just had 3 doors put in by Window World, could not ask for better customer service. Anything I need in the future I will call Window World first. Chuck our saleman was absolutely great, he got me my red front door. I cannot praise them enough. Thank You so very much.

We had new French doors installed about 5 months ago. There was significant leaking in our basement (under the new door) and living room carpet at the door. They came out several times to “fix” it and the leak continued. They finally sent someone who realized the door had been installed incorrectly to begin with (
after several months). I was hopeful because someone finally figured something out. They came out yesterday and we are not happy with the results. First, they tracked mud into the house on our carpet and generally made a big mess. They had to pull the doors out and reinstall them. When they did, they left big gaps outside that water could come in through. They also made the trim look horrible by sloppily caulking all over it. We are going to still try to get everything to an acceptable level, but it’s just been a mess working with them. I would never recommend them to anyone. Here’s pictures of what they call a good job.

***Update***
They came out one more time and I’m actually very happy with the results. They fixed everything on the outside and it looks great now. I have added stars to the review. It is a shame that it wasn’t done this way to begin with. It would have been 5 stars! I’ve posted pictures showing the end product.

***Final Update***
I finally had time to clean all of the mud off the deck that they put on there when they repaired the door(I also had to clean my carpet) and I’m left with a scratched up and damaged deck. I had just stained it before winter, and now I have to repair it and do it again in the spring. That will now cost me a weekend and a couple hundred bucks, at least. After all of this, I would not recommend them under any circumstances.

We had a great experience with Window World of the Triad. They were prompt and found and fixed a problem. One window had a scratch and no questions asked they replaced it. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and the product looks great.

I’ve waited 3 weeks for a phone call from a technician to come out to my home and give me an estimate on a broken window replacement. I guess their business is doing so well that they don’t need my money because no one ever called me. I decided to go with a local handyman instead and he replaced my window in less than 48 hours.

I checked it out but I wasn't all that impressed. This might just be a lot of hype. Didn't speak to anyone, just looked.. This is going to be a big job because we're renovating a building and we need good quality windows and doors.... so I'm going to have to check other window brands. UPDATE ... have been checking around and turns out my neighbors unhappy with their windows... not all that happy with these folks.. changedb from a 3 to a 2

Hired Window World to replace all the windows and 2 outside doors in our house that were over 30 years old, and they did a great job. Were competitive on price and the windows installed are great. Had multiple sizes and types of windows, and was happy that they all arrived correctly and were able to be installed in one day, which I was impressed with for such a large job. The sales person and the installation crew were all very friendly and accommodating. The only thing that was somewhat of a negative was that it took about 8 weeks for them to get all the windows in, but again with a job as large as ours and the current supply chain situation, is understandable. We were not in a hurry so was better to wait for the right stuff. We will be replacing our front door with window world in the future as well, after we finish a few other projects first, so would definitely recommend them.

Used these guys for window replacement at our old house and used them for storm doors at our new home. Chuck is awesome and installation crew did a fantastic job.

Very nice and professional crew. Came early that morning and done by 2 pm. Was very understanding of my concern for my pets safety. Did a great job and worked very hard. Very satisfied. I have not been able to open my stuck shut windows in years so I am very excited.

Talking to a Sales rep (Clay) was great. He was no nonsense and gave a price that did not change when the service was finished. I could not recommend him more highly. We did get our windows about 4-5 months earlier than expected which is also nice. And for the price point, you really can't beat it.

The windows are nice and they did finish the installation in a day.

The only gripe I have is that while the crew did clean up the majority of the trash they had, I am finding pieces of metal where they had cut the trim and it fell to the ground. It is all the way around my house and it is just a pain to clean up. I am also still finding chunks of my old window frames on the ground as well. I am not a stickler for the saw dust, but these are 7-8 inch wood pieces that are in obvious view around my house.

I will stand by the fact that Clay was a great sale rep and that the people in the office are very nice. However, the longer we walk around our house, the more scrap metal I am finding along with large chunks of wood. On top of that, we plugged in our outside lights today to find one of them (Near the window) was busted out. I just want a bit more common courtesy to the outside of my house and the clean up.

This place was recommended by 2 friends for window replacement. I filled out an online request and they called but had to leave a message saying that they would call back. I accidentally missed the next call but called the number right back and had to leave a message. When I spoke to someone, they couldn't accommodate my schedule and said the local office would call me to set up a time that would work and that they had openings that would work for me. It's been 4 days and nothing. If this is how they do business, I'll pass.

Paid thousands of dollars for patio doors. From the start, poor communications, incorrect hardware, shoddy work. Multiple requests to correct issues resulted in placating actions. Doors are not sealed,listening to wind squealing along door edges. Escalating to Wilkesboro office did nothing. Retired senior citizen and veteran. As an woman, I don't recommend using this company for anything.

Window World did a great job on our windows and siding. The house looks amazing.....Rick stayed on top of everything, ensuring that it was done to our satisfaction. And you can't beat a lifetime warranty!!

Window World did an excellent job on installing 26 windows, 2 doors plus storm doors, wrapping eaves and putting up new gutters and leaf guards. When we first contacted Window World and the sales rep came to the house, he was very personable and informative. Jack showed us samples of the two windows we were most interested in and answered all questions and concerns we had. He got back with his quote quickly. When we accepted he gave us a proposed date that the windows would arrive and be installed. The crews who came to do the installations were friendly and courteous and did an amazing job. We are very satisfied with our choice of Window World. I highly recommend them.

My friend used this service under the impression that it was a professional business but with her experience it was the complete opposite. Had a crew come out to take measurements to order the door come to find out their measurements were completely inaccurate and the door ordered would not fit. Tried to contract regarding the door only to be given the run around.

Our installation was a bit different than the norm, but WW did an excellent job and our windows look like new!
