On November 14, 2024, Bryce @ Windowmedics quoted $27 per *installed* linear foot of permanent LED residential lights in Norfolk, NE, which were (mostly) installed one week later. The estimate included $1500 (+tax) for a 150 foot Minleon light kit plus $2415 for what turned out to be about 5 hours of on-site labor for one person. Their online quote estimated $25/foot instead of $27/foot actually quoted, but 8% difference was reasonably close to their online advertisement, and it was for a 2 story home, which required additional unlit cabling between the rooflines. After installation, when programming the lights, Bryce told me to enter "150" lights for the light count, which led me to believe 150 lights were actually installed. Two days later, after counting the actual lights and contacting Windowmedics about the discrepancy, I learned that their estimate didn't measure the actual length in person, but used a fuzzy google earth satellite photo and padded the length from the actual 112 feet required to an "estimated" 146 feet resulting in a charge of $996 over the actual length needed ($4020 paid instead of the calculated $3024 [112 ft x $27/ft]). We are still waiting for the final 1 foot to be installed. Bryce said that he used his standard estimating process and that all construction companies overcharged and pocketed the difference. They refunded $400 for product not delivered (the quote listed the 150 foot kit separately from the labor, but 38 feet was kept by Windowmedics - he said that they usually just keep the overage and don't tell the customer because the quote is final, regardless of the amount of product used, even though the customer pays sales tax on the entire amount of product ordered). He didn't reduce any overcharge for labor. I won't take this to small claims court because it isn't worth my time, but I will also not recommend Windowmedics to anyone because they overcharged by 32.9% and refused to honor their original quote of $27 per installed foot (the price paid was $35.89/installed linear foot of lights). Bryce chose to install the LED controller on the second floor about 25 feet above a flower garden and steep hill, making future maintenance unnecessarily dangerous (the controller could have been installed on the other end of the house by the garage about 9 or 10 feet from the ground). For anyone who cares about computer security, their choice of Minleon lights introduces a network security risk and should be isolated from your home Wifi network - the "WEC3" controller has no security - your Wifi password is stored in the clear, and anyone can update the device configuration or operating system (firmware) without a password. I placed our WEC3 controller on an isolated Wifi network. The required "Pixel Dancer" app crashes immediately and is unusable on at least a Samsung S24 and only sometimes works on other Android devices we have tried. If you do choose to work with Windowmedics, you might want to measure your own roof and ensure your quote is based on *installed* length instead of the 30%+ padded *estimated* length we got. The lights are spaced exactly 1 foot apart, so it isn't hard to calculate the number of linear feet after the installation is completed.

On a cold windy day, our home at the top of a hill was decked with permanent lights that can be programmed for every holiday and days in between. Window Medics were professional and gave us timely service. We would recommend them to anyone.

We recently had Window Medic, LLC power wash our concrete garage, driveway and walkway. They did an AMAZING job! We had our doubts about getting the old stains from oil and paint out, but WOW!
