I got all new windows and a sliding glass door back in 2018. The windows and installation are great, and the service was terrific. I always recommend Wilson Home Restoration when I know someone is looking for windows or doors.

We had to replace about 10 windows in our home this year, and Wilson Home did an excellent job. The installation crew and painters were courteous, efficient and did an excellent job, the windows look beautiful. Pricing was much better than the two other companies we looked at.

Wilson put new siding and a new roof on our home, as well as paint the existing brick. They were great! Very helpful in choosing the design. We were thrilled with the look of our new home. 4 years later - and absolutely no problems.

Essentially, they've done the entire exterior of our home, including the roof, soffits, gutters, siding, adding a Portico, new windows, and replaced all the exterior trim. We recently used Wilson Home Restorations to replace all our windows and kitchen patio door. Our experience with them has been great. We had major drafts from our original builder windows. After Wilson installed the Sunrise energy efficient windows there are no more drafts and our energy bills have gone down. We did get estimates from several other companies that use high pressure selling. That was not the case with Wilson. From our initial informative meeting to their professional installation everything went extremely well. We highly recommend them.

Contacted Wilson Home Restorations in 2022 regarding replacing our front door. They showed up at the scheduled appointment time and brought along literature about their Company plus references. We had previously seen a Provia door at a showroom and inquired with Wilson Home as to ordering the custom door plus install. Wilson Home took down all the specifications related to the door. We also noticed a picture on their brochure of a house they had worked on with wood soffit and we inquired about replacing our vinyl outdoor soffit with stained wood. We received a reasonable quote soon after their visit and decided to accept. The process went smoothly. We received a call from their office to schedule the install. Their team hand stained the wood soffit before arrival. They did a great job with install, and it looks amazing. As for the door, it was worth the wait.
Once the project was complete, Mr. Wilson stopped by to inspect the work.
Overall, a great experience. Plus, we now know who to call should we need siding or windows.

Multiple options are provided without pressure to choose one over the other. Home owner requests are respected and included. The work is done quickly, efficiently and with superb craftsmanship. Little things are important – the grounds were cleaned up each day and, important to us, our dog run and yard were secured each day at the end of work. Every project has a surprise, and we had one. The problem was shown and explained to us. Multiple solutions were offered and we were allowed to decide which one we wanted. And there was a written contract for the solution, so there was not a surprise charge at the end of the project. There were daily visits by management and explanations of where the project stood. We have lived in our home for 40 years and dealt with many repair and remodeling companies and without a doubt, Wilson Home Restorations is among the best.

We had a great experience with installation of several windows. They are one of the few companies in the area that had Sunrise Windows, which have a much better air seal rating compared to other brands. Jim provided us with a lot of quality information and options and guided us in our selection. I can say, picking new windows is a stressful process. We had 5 different companies out and decided to go with Wilson and we're glad we did. There were no pushy sales tactics or gimmicks like some of the other companies. The windows have made a considerable difference in the comfort of our house. No more cold drafts in the winter and considerably less heat from the direct sunlight sun in the summer. In 2017 Wilson Home Restoration Company replaced the roof, siding, and gutters at our primary residence, and we were very pleased with the results. In 2019 we worked with Mr. Wilson on a different house where the roof and gutter were replaced. We also decided that our old two-car detached and dilapidated garage needed to be upgraded to match the house and we selected Wilson Restoration again. After the initial inspection and measurements, Mr. Wilson sent us a proposal via email with the price, detailed information of each step, and the work warranty.

The garage needed a lot of repair. All of the windows were in a very poor condition and the side door could not be used due to its condition. The overhead door was an old wooden construction and had to be lifted by hand because the door opener quit working years ago. The roof had been repaired partially and the cedar siding was in poor condition due to wild animals and age; all of this had to be replaced. The windows were replaced by larger ones and the side door by a steel door. Half of the roof deck was replaced due to the wood condition. A new decorative overhead garage door was installed with a new opener. In addition, a chimney was installed for a future wood stove. We ordered vinyl siding, which matched the color of the house.

Why do we keep working with Wilson Restoration? Exceptional quality performed by a professional tradesman who makes the experience worry-free. The company organizes all of the work and vendors, and also acquires the permits, which is something that I would be hard-pressed to do. Mr. Wilson is well connected with many vendors such as gutter-installers, roofers, insulation, and garbage-hauling contractors. This is a big plus as I personally do not have to worry about the contractors being insured. They also thoroughly clean the work area after completing a job. There is very little paperwork beyond signing a contract and writing the checks. It goes without saying that I would employ the skills of Wilson Restoration on any of my future projects and they have earned my highest recommendations.

I have used Wilson Home Restorations on 2 different occasions now and they have been great. They respond quickly with detailed proposals and then they follow through. They show up when they say they are, they do what they say they are going to do for the agreed on price and they clean up. If they find a problem, they tell you about it and work with you to solve it the best and least expensive way.

I have had Wilson Home do ALL my windows in the entire house. I did it over 4 year time period and am so happy with their work! Pricing was great, service was excellent, and they stand by their products and workmanship. My dog actually ruined my screen door two years after they installed it and I had it re-screened and couldn't figure out how to install it back on. They came over the same day and did it for me at no CHARGE! That is service!

WilsonHome Restorations has worked twice on our current 1952 cottage style home in Lake Forest.
He was referred by our architect. The first job was replacing our 70 year old windows. The replacement windows he carries are all top of the line with high UV and insulation ratings. They are performing in these nasty -30 temperatures. He advised me to product at the beginning and checked the accuracy of each of our windows himself at the end of our job.
The second job was a sliding door replacement. There was a major complication from a previous floor installation by another company that he needed to correct before our install. Again, workers did excellent and our tough City inspectors gave him praise.

Wilson Home Restorations did a great job with our whole house window replacement project from start to finish. Jim was very informative as he explained the products, issues with our windows, and gave realistic options for installation to drive costs down. Overall a great experience - We will be working with Jim in the future for our other home restoration projects!

After many, many years of having leaking in the corner of our living room (carpet soaked, ruined, moldy oak bookcase, multiple times we had to set up fans etc etc)....we had Jim Wilson re-side our house and our leaking problems are gone!!!!! We are so happy. Not to mention that our 43 year old house looks new! No kidding. The attention to detail was meticulous and Jim worked with us to do everything perfectly. He also provided extremely valuable input, on how best to do the job! Color recommendations were great. My husband and I highly recommend this company. P.S.
