Great working with Marc and his team. We got our roof and gutters replaced. The team worked very quickly to get the job done. They protected the spaces like windows and neighboring houses and cleaned up the afterwards like it was their own home.

Mark was great and very patient with me because I had to get a lot of things in order to get it to happen. Marc sat down at my kitchen table and explained every aspect of the work and installation and all my options. There was no high pressure sales. I was treated with respect. The work began and ended on time and they cleaned up any debris leaving my place better then they found it.

Our roof and aluminum look great! The team was easy to work with, the price was reasonable, they were respectful of my landscaping, helped answer all of my questions thoughtfully, and worked quickly. We went with the black roof option and it really freshened up the look of our house.

Marc came out for an estimate on Monday, We signed the contract on Monday night, the roof was Replaced on Friday, tear off, new OSB sheets over the old decking, new shingles installed on the house and garage. Job completed the same day. The crew was efficient and professional, kept the site and my neighbors property clear of debris throughout the day. Definitely recommend Williams Roofing & Insulation.

Our 23 year old roof started leaking so I called several roofing contractors to come out and give me an estimate. Marc came right out the same day to give me a fair estimate, then came out again to meet my insurance adjuster and worked with them on my claim. Communication was always prompt, Marc kept us updated on work scheduling around weather. Crew was very professional, took precautions to protect landscaping and did a great job cleaning up after the job was completed. Exceptional, quality job! HIGHLY recommend!

Our neighbor's tree branch fell through our garage roof. We called Williams Roofing and they came out almost immediately. They repaired the roof expeditiously, thoroughly, and at a fair price. We had no issues and appreciated working with them.

Mark responded quickly to my request for a quote. His estimate was competitive. His crew showed up on time. My roof had issues and it was obvious, Mark was there on site in the morning to make sure everything was going smoothly and he explained the problems with my 60+ year old roof and they were able to order additional materials have them delivered and fixed the issues the same day. A very positive experience with Marc and Williams roofing. Submitted a request for estimates with several roofers. Marc was prompt to reply and came out the next day to provide an estimate. His quote was not only the most competitive but he was able to provide many referrals and examples of other work that Williams roofing has completed. Even though we were entering a time of the year when weather could be cold and questionable, Marc was able to schedule his crew to come and complete the work. I requested a specific color for the roof, and while most major suppliers were out of stock, Marc was able to find the desired color. His crew managed to tear off the 30 year old roof that was on the house and garage, replace the wood decking across the whole surface and then install the new roof, flashings, etc. within a 2 day period. The crew was fast, efficient, and mindful of both my property and the neighbors. They left the site clean and free of debris. The roof looks great. I would recommend Williams Roofing to others without hesitation.

Start to finish a first class experience. I see reviews on here that I just don’t understand. They are diametrically opposed to what my family experienced. Mark the owner has to be one of the most personable, hands on owners of a company of this nature I have ever come across. This man came out to my work to meet me for initial payment to start the project(full roof re-shingle and all new insulation in our attic) took his time to get to know us, show genuine interest in our family and kids, and share some of his own life/family dynamics with us.

After that, stayed in full contact thru out the project from materials drop off, to the initial project start assessment. At the start of the project it was discovered that our roofing OSB was in dire need of replacing. Instead of just firing off a quick text to let us know (my wife and I were both at work at the time) he sent pictures and let us make the decision as to whether or not we wanted to go forward with insulation but was very honest in that we should fore go insulation and do the OSB if money was the issue. We decided to do both anyway and could not be more pleased with the end result. His team worked well in to the darkness on what ended up being a 2 day project, and our home has never been anywhere near this temperature control and comfortable in the close to 4 years now that we’ve lived here. I CANNOT recommend their services more. A+++

We were told four different weeks that the gutters would be installed the following week then when they finally showed up they missed putting a downspout on part of the roof and didn’t put the leaf guards on. The crew left without telling us they were done so there was no opportunity for a walk-through (they also never made an effort to talk to us at the start of the job for us to ensure everyone was on the same page). When we contacted the owner Marc, he said it was our fault because it was our responsibility to make sure the right materials were used.

Williams roofing exceeded my expectations. On time with everything, cleaned up by the time I got home. One day installation, the new roof looks great! His price was about $1000 less than the other two estimates I received. Marc explained everything beforehand and was there to answer questions I had afterwards. Williams Roofing performed two scopes of work at my house: installing a new roof, and installing new soffit, fascia, gutters, and downspouts.

My old two-layer roof was torn off and the new one put on in less than one day. The crew kept the job site very clean and protected my lawn/garden beds with tarps. Aside from some small scraps of shingle here and there (no big deal), everything was thoroughly cleaned at the end of the day. Roof looks great and all the flashing was installed properly.

A week later a separate crew came by to remove and reinstall the soffit, fascia, gutters, and downspouts. This took about 2.5 days. No complaints with the work done there either.

Very happy to have these two major updates done on my house.

I can't imagine a better experience. Everything from the initial phone call, to the quote, the actual job, to the clean-up was top notch. Real professionals here. No B.S. I'm making it my mission to make sure anyone I know has Marc's contact information.

We decided to replace our roof and this company was on the Google search results. We scheduled a visit for the estimate and the person did show up at the accorded date and time. He left brochures with pricing and contracts. A few days later we get a text message stating "to sign the contract and let him deal with the insurance company." This was confusing since we never indicated this to be an insurance claim. We called them the same day to get clarification about the message. It was not even thirty seconds into the phone call when the person, out of the blue, started to make baseless claims about insurance fraud, wasting his time, and to make derogatory remarks about my family. I hanged up and replied with a text message that indicated our disappointment at the awful costumer service he has to offer. Apparently, he confused me with someone else thus his rant on the phone. Maybe it was an misunderstanding, but based on that we are not even considering this company's proposal. Our review might not be the wake up call for them, yet we sure hope in the future they enhance their handling of potential costumers.

Update: We hope the screenshot further helps people give it a second though about this company's values and delusional claims.

If what they replied stands true, they should report us to the authorities.

I let Mark Williams know that I needed my roof done right away because of a leak in my kitchen and within 5 days his crew was at my house to tear off and install the roof on my house and garage. They were courteous and professional and they were finished in two days. During this pandemic other roofing companies would not come inside my home to give me a quote. I thank Williams Roofing and his crew so much, and for a job well done.

Spoke with Marc after calling his office number yesterday and today. I have a small job at my home in hawthorn woods. My current roofer is not responding to me as I explained to Marc. I need to have this job done before the weather breaks.
While speaking with Marc yesterday afternoon he said he would have someone from his office staff call me. Have not heard in 24 hours so I called Marc today. I explained again to him my need to get this work done and that my regular roofer is not responding.
Marc hung up on me. I tried calling right back twice and each time my call went directly to his voice mail.
I guess he does not want the work.
Very rude and Unresponsive. I will not Call again...

Mark came to my house to give an estimate. He was the third roofing contractor I talked to. I made it clear on the phone I was looking for estimates for both a tear-off and a re-roof. He came by, walked around the house, went into my attic, then told me he would take some measurements and give me a bid on a tear-off. I would like him to provide a bid on a re-roofing as well. He told me "no one is going to give me a bid on a re-roofing estimate because it was a terrible idea." I told him I had two other estimates and I wanted to compare apples to apples. At that point he stormed off. He told me it was clear we were "interested in doing things on the cheap" and that we "were not his type of customers." (whaaaaat?) He got in his car and drove off. I was not surprised by his smarmy, hard-sell condescension but I was shocked that he would blow up like that. Does he act like that around female customers? Is it because he didn't approve of my mixed race marriage? Is he having a horrible time of it because of COVID? I was going to just let it go...I almost never write reviews. But I after reading the reviews on google, I decided to add my voice to the chorus of voices warning people away from this lunatic. Even if his workers were the best in the world, this kind of unhinged behavior is a huge red flag for any business. Go elsewhere.

Mark was extremely unprofessional. I would never recommend him. He was condescending and he behavior was appalling. When we were reviewing quotes, he felt the need to reiterate that he was A+ rated with the BBB during his sales pitch but did not bother to address the concerns I had and instead was dismissive as he boasted about the great work they do. He said i don’t need to ask all of these questions because his team was fantastic and that I need to just let him handle it because he’s the professional and that i don’t know what I’m talking about since i don’t do this for a living. He started using profanity and became vulgar and aggressive toward me AND my teenage son who was understandably being protective of his mother. He told us to go back to our country and asked why I can’t get one of my illegal friends to do the job instead for dirt cheap. We are LEGAL US citizens. I am very hurt and upset by what happened and it saddens me that people like this are in business.

Very bad experience. Quoted approximately $5400, asked if that included roof on porch and advised yes. Then when came to pick up $2500 down payment, advised approximately $1500 more for porch. It took 1-1/2 hours to remove the roof. Mark and his son Tommy then arrived and told me all the wood needed to replaced and they wanted 80% before they would continue. They would not provide a warranty unless I agreed. What could I do? I questioned why 80% when most contractors don't require that much at the beginning of a big project. That's when the verbal abuse began. They told me people like me don't pay which is untrue since they don't know me and I have never not paid a contractor. I made the decision to pay them 100% of the $10,500 it turned out to be so I didn't have to have to have to speak with them again. At that point, I tried to end the conversation but he stood there with the receipt and would not give it to me. He told me if I left a bad review, he would have me fined $5000 pursuant to disparagement and liquidated damages provision in his contract. I had to threaten to get my phone and video tape him before he gave the receipt to me so I could go back in the house and get away from him. There is damage to the gutter but I don't even know I will ask him to repair because he is so incredibly rude and I don't want to associate with him. Beware of the reviews. On google, Ms. Desi indicates she used to be friends with Mark and he asked her, his family and his friends to write fake reviews. And he threatens unhappy customers with fines if they write a review he is unhappy with. He is a bully. Williams Roofing has been SUED FIVE TIMES IN COOK COUNTY: 2016-L-010348, 2012-M1-156389, 2002-M4-001745, 2001-M6-003391, 2001-M3-003829. Beware!

Had a good experience with William's Roofing. One day tear off on the house and garage, with the entire job completed in one day. I had some unexpected additional materials needed that could only be seen after the tear off. No problem with the additional materials.

They did a great job on her roof. However, they waited almost a month for the gutters to be completed. Also, the attic insulation turned into a nightmare. They show up with no ladder, work light or extension cord. The owner had to supply everything. The workers left the the work space a mess and broke their work light.
Stick to what you do best. Roofing!.

Called Williams Roofing to make an inspection appointment on behalf of my client yesterday afternoon. Was promptly called back and told that inspection could be completed this morning with a report sent out mid-day. Sent several text messages and left voicemails confirming appointment. NO RESPONSE. My client was counting on this company to come through for her and a simple response of "I can not make it out tomorrow" would have been sufficient.

This company came out and looked at our roof and said it was a possible roof replacement. Dud not even bither govong us an estimate for repairs. I had a feeling before having an insurance adjuster come out to get a second opinion to have another roofing guy come and take a look. So glad I did. The repairs were only $375. I would have really regretted having a mark on our insurance for having someone inspect our roof for repairs that did not even reach our deductible. Williams Roofing was obviously out for themselves to make a large profit and was not interested in a more realistic job or repair that needed to happen. :(

We hired this company for a new roof and insulation several years ago. Great job and we have them great reviews. We wanted to do new gutters also but decided to wait as we were planning an addition on the home. Now that the addirion is done, we called for an updated gutter quote. Appointment was set for someone to come out last Friday. Surprise, no call no show from the company. It took 2 phone calls and a text to get someone to resoind who told us it was raining and they weren't coming. Obtw, it wasn't raining here yet but still no communication. We were told someone would come Monday but didn't know what time. This morning at 11 my husband had to call as we still didn't have a time and were told someone would be here between 1-4pm. Again no call no show by the company. Apparently they don't need the job or money. Save yourself the hassle and call a company that values your time and money
