During the recent ice storm in central VA, a large branch (approx 10 inches in diameter) fell on the front corner of our house. We were lucky that it landed in such a way that it didn't penetrate through the roof. However, the size and the way it landed made it impossible for me to safely remove. Webb was very professional and was able to provide a reasonable quote after exchanging a few calls and texts. In fact, he was able to come out the very next morning to remove the branch and haul away the debris. He also took a little extra time to provide me with some rough numbers on a few other tree removal and grading projects I would like to tackle at our property. We needed to remove old and unusable wood and tree stumps from our property. White Oak was responsive to all of our communication and quick to get our job done. I would use them again for other projects.

They put in a gravel driveway for me and did a very proffessional job. They explained everything and kept me up to date with the progress including getting vdot approval.

We finally decided to make some improvements to the crushed stone driveway of our 86-year-old home in the West End of Richmond. First thought? Have a single topping of crushed gray stone dropped on top of the existing surface and maybe even spread it ourselves with a rake. Thank goodness we didn’t stop there. He arrived at our home the same day and gave us a thorough explanation of how a rolled layer of #21 with dust first and then a topping of #28 washed stone would give us a more stable and attractive surface. I had 4000 square feet of gravel parking area installed for heavy equipment. I am sure I could park an Abraham’s Tank out there with no trouble. I run my forklift on it without worry. I placed an inquiry on a Sunday evening around 5pm for a firewood delivery, was expecting an email or call back maybe Monday or something early in the week. No more than 30 minutes after emailing my inquiry I was contacted and had a half cord of wood delivered in the next hour. I was very surprised at the turnaround and the overall experience was phenomenal, would surely recommend.

We had need of a tree being removed, fairly sharpish due to the fact it was a fire hazard. Mr Webb, to his word was able to quote with just a couple of photos, and then promptly arrived the next morning to survey. Quickly and professionally the offending tree was down, and cleaned up nicely. Asked if there was anything else he could do before packing up. Cannot complain and would recommend him to anyone in need. His business card is being kept.

11/1/2019 very large oak tree 80’+ tall fell onto Lt. side of house then went thru attic.
Contacted White Oak/Webb Sat. morning and he inspected wind storm damage that afternoon. (24 Hr. Emergency Company). Webb is prompt, knowledgeable, courteous.
Used heavy plastic boards to protect lawn from heavy equipment, even crane was required. Webb thoroughly cleaned up area before leaving.
I highly recommend Webb and I will be contacting him for more tree removal.

I needed to have some additional fill dirt and re-grading done in my back yard following the addition of a concrete pad and shed. I also wanted to expand my driveway to have two entry/exit paths to make parking my boat and enclosed trailer easier. I contacted multiple landscapers and received either poor responses or unrealistic quotes from them. I reached out to Webb and he promptly came to our home and provided an initial quote for the yard work which I found quite reasonable. Due to the Spring and Summer weather being unseasonably wet, my project got delayed until the Fall. I'm sure other landscapers would have rushed the job and completed it earlier, but Webb insisted that we should wait to do a quality job. I agreed and later expanded the scope of the job to include the driveway work. Once the weather cooperated, Webb and his small crew began the work. While on site they were professional and mindful of adjacent areas and our personal property. The fill, grade and over seeding came out very good. The driveway work came out much better than expected and greatly increases the safety and functionality of our drive. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the results of the work performed by Webb and his company White Oak. I would recommend them to anyone seeking quality work. I will update my review come Spring to include pictures of the newly seeded lawn.

I am new to the area, and I needed some firewood. I was looking online and there were so many, to choose from, however not that many with so many great reviews. I was not disappointed, I ended up ordering twice from White Oak, and the second cord of wood was more then a cord, its nice to feel like someone cares for your business.

White Oak did a fantastic job of removing an old shed for me (detached garage). They gave me a good quote, had excellent communication, and made sure the job was done to my satisfaction before they left. They even made sure I could retrieve a box that l had thought was lost in the building. I highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

I submitted an on-line inquiry for replacing my gravel driveway on Sunday and Web had it done by Wednesday. He came out to the house and examined the driveway and we discussed the problems we have had. He made recommendations for our consideration since no work had been done on it in over 25 years and we have a very old house. We found him to be thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable. He was extremely attentive to the large oak tree which bordered the driveway. We are thrilled with the outcome. I highly recommend his services.

The whole experience from start to finish was excellent! A true 5 star service. The gentleman that first came out to give the estimate was there from start to finish. He was out in the rain grading the driveways and went out of his way to cut down some tree's for me as well (for a small fee-but well below what others would charge). He was upfront with pricing and options and truly recommended the best gravel for our front and back driveway. The whole process took a week or so. He spent alot of time IN THE RAIN preparing the site, and was out the next day laying the gravel. I could not have asked for a more professional or polite experience. We called about a gravel driveway needing repair. Good price, great service, did exactly what we needed and not more (or less). What really impressed me is that he made sure all loose gravel that he brought in was cleaned off of his truck and trailer with a leaf blower so he wouldn't blow out windshields on the way home. We called White Oak to simply add a level of gravel to our driveway, which is the estimate we received. They went above and beyond and ended up grading the driveway before adding all new gravel. They did a fantastic job. Were very friendly and professional. We would definitely use them, again.

White Oak took down a dead tree near my house and cleaned the area up better than it was before they arrived. Later that week they graded and re-graveled my driveway, making it look nice and clean while fixing all the potholes and ruts.

I recently used White Oak to remove two very tall dead trees that could have fallen on our house. One tree in particular was quite difficult to remove as it was located up against our back deck and there was little room to fall the tree without doing damage to other healthy trees. The work was done promptly and without and damage. The trees were cut up and carted away. The areas impacted were cleaned up extremely well...great attention to detail. I will use White Oak for future work and highly recommend them for potential customers.

I love my driveway - all 300 yards! It was a wreck after years of severe erosion and neglect. I was impressed not only with the speed and professionalism of the job, but that my input was made an important part of the process. I have used White Oak Landscaping & Grading, LLC, on three separate occasions to down trees. In Dec. 2012, White Oak removed four very large, tall trees, including a huge oak tree that was very near my back deck and close to my house. In April 2016, White Oak removed one huge tree. In September 2017, the following work was done:
1. Downed selected trees in grass area.
2. Downed one huge oak tree with crane.
3. Removed all debris.
4. Ground all stumps including several additional stumps from previous downings.
5. Removed all stump clippings to ground level

The biggest challenge was downing a huge oak tree that was near our house and back deck. Due to the condition of the tree, a crane was needed to lower the cut limbs. It was a challenge to find a crane big enough to handle the job yet not too big to be able to get down our narrow, steep driveway, but White Oak was able to do it.

I was sent a copy of the certificate of insurance for the crane operator and for White Oak per my request. I have never had a problem with White Oak returning my calls in a prompt manner.

My husband and I have been very pleased with all the work and will use White Oak again if needed. Liston Webb is professional, friendly, and trustworthy. The final cost for all work was within his estimate (no unforeseen problems had to be dealt with). I highly recommend White Oak.
