We recently had our siding, trim, gutters, and downspouts replaced. The quote we received was comparable to another great quote but we decided to go with Distinct because we had a good feeling from dealing with Blake through that whole process and it turned out to be the right choice. Blake is awesome and very easy to work with. A total pro. Everything was done very efficiently from start to finish. The guys were respectful of the property from tear off to clean up. The workmanship is exceptional and our house looks beautiful.

We contracted Distinct Renovations to replace the siding, trim, and gutters on our home. We worked directly with Blake, who was able to answer all our questions and concerns to a high degree of satisfaction. This was our first time working with Distinct Renovations and it will not be the last. They will be our go-to contractor for any exterior home projects we have in the future.

I recently just had all my very old clapboard removed and new vinyl siding installed. In addition, all new vinyl white trim, soffits, shutters, gutters with bulldog guards, downspouts and any existing rotting boards replaced. They also installed my new lighting front and back. The crew was extremely nice and respectful. They showed up everyday on time and always cleaned up every evening before leaving for the day. Blake was knowledgeable from beginning to end. He communicated every step of the way and when I had questions they were answered swiftly. I absolutely would recommend Distinct Renovations if you want top quality and a worry free experience.

Distinct Renovations is FANTASTIC. I had them replace almost all of our windows, two doors, add a storm door, and fix a leaky window….and not to set unrealistic expectations but everything is….perfect? Over 2 months later everything is still in perfect working order. Even more than the great results, though, was working with Blake and his team. I had originally asked for an estimate in Fall 2023, and he was very patient and not pushy while I delayed hiring them until spring 2024 due to personal things going on. Then the team show up, worked HARD, and everything was done in 2 days. The follow-up was a thoughtful and thorough check for issues (there weren’t any, though).

Can’t recommend them enough! We love our new windows and doors!

Distinct Renovations installed a door for us that had previously been a work Dow (but looked like a front door) we got a number of quotes that were extremely high from the larger window companies. They all told us the transome above the door also had to be replaced. After almost deciding not to have the work delivered e we decided to call Distinct Renovations since they were a locally based veteran owned venture company. They were very professional and quoted us several thousand less and advised that the transome could stay. It almost seemed to good to be true but went with my gut and they did a terrific job. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend Lane and Distinct Renovations. They were the best price among several quotes for my window replacement. He was patient with answering several questions, easy to communicate with, and his crew did great work. Our windows are a great modern improvement to our 100 year old house, while still maintaining most of the original character (without having to spend $2,000/window on wood windows!)

I am remiss in my review as the work was completed in early November, 2022. HOWEVER, I can't really say enough about Lane DeChristopher and the crew we had working on our house.

We had the house (2500 sq ft) completely resided with vinyl, replacing 30+ year old composite materials. It was in REAALY bad shape. At the same time, we had all windows replaced (27) with casement, double pane vinyl windows (including some architectural windows). Added to this, we replaced the front porch handrail, wrapped all exposed edifices (rakes, soffits, facias, decorative triangular attic vent, and dormer peeks) with vinyl and aluminum, and replaced and upgraded all gutters and downspouts.

From beginning to end, Distinct Renovations was professional, responsive and provided insights that we never even considered during the planning and process. We were completely satisfied that all bases were covered, understanding the actual details of what the work was and how it was to be done on all the detailed and unique areas.

The calendar proceeded exactly as planned and Lane stayed on top of the ordering, staging and sequencing all shipments and deliveries. The crew was efficient, organized and meticulous in execution and site management (everything was clean at the end of the day, no materials were scattered around, mag swept drive, sidewalk and lawn [our dog was happy with not stepping on them]). And the most impressive part was the detailed craftsmanship of finishes on corners, corner posts, wrapping and overall ascetics put into everything. For a nominal fee, Distinct Renovations even sided our ~400 sg ft shed (it's the best looking shed in the subdivision!)

Despite supply chain issues (post-Covid stinks), our windows arrive on time and installation was done in a day.

Overall, I am impressed with Distinct Renovations, very pleased with the work and craftsmanship, and the relationship of trust built between us.

Lane and his team did a fabulous job! We had original 1980’s wood windows that needed to be replaced. He came out quickly, gave us a fair quote and was no pressure. We went with him after getting quotes from a few other companies. Windows came in quicker than expected and install was scheduled in a timely manner. I wholeheartedly recommend Lane and Distinct Renovations! He replaced my siding with Hardipank and replaced my front door and glass storm door at the same time. He is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He does not try to up-sale and his team worked hard to minimize any additional expense. I needed to have a roofer come and extend shingles after the new siding was installed and he was super impressed with the workmanship and joint sealing and other technical terms that didn’t mean a lot to me but I was happy to hear from an unrelated source. I can tell you that the end result LOOKS fantastic! His team is really wonderful as well. You can’t go wrong if you hire him for your house.

EDIT: Another wonderful job done by Distinct Renovations! I am so grateful for Lane, who came out on a Sunday for an emergency patch after a tree branch came through our roof. He was also incredibly patient in dealing with my insurance. Our new roof is perfect (and was complete in just TWO DAYS).

I’d like to preface this review on the premise that I have never written a company review, however, the customer service and quality of work provided by Distinct Renovations LLC warranted such. I had a full home 25+ window and sliding glass door installation completed in May 2021 (apologies for the way past due review). The owner, Lane, and his company provided the quickest turn around with quality, energy rated windows at a price far below any competitor we had come to our home. Beyond the glass, his crew reconstructed rotten sills and brick molds at a fraction of the price. In all honesty, I believe they ate the cost here to ensure the frame and windows were installed the absolute correct way. Lastly, at no additional cost, his crew offered to class up the vinyl wrap with a beautiful tiered design. Lane and his team were never but a phone call away and answered any and all questions regardless of the time of day or day of the week. I have recommended Distinct to family and coworkers. Distinct Renovations did an amazing job transforming my house into something totally different. In the beginning of the project I wasn’t sure what we all wanted to do with the siding and windows, however Lane was very patient in the process and gave me all the different scenarios and costs associated with them. Once we went with him on the contract, he was very prompt on having his guys confirm window measurements as well as update me on material delivery timelines and when the project would start. Within a day of material delivery, his guys got started on the siding on my house. One very good thing is that the siding job was done complete and involved tearing the Masonite siding that was existing (he will do it no other way) to prevent any “hidden” issues from coming up later. Many contractors did not want to do this or it was an “inconvenience”, however I was glad that we did it as we did run into issues that required replacement of sheathing due to rot.
Now Back to the guys that did the work.. They were very thorough and detailed in every piece of siding that was nailed on the house (if it didn’t look right they tore it off and did it again). They also did a good job trimming windows and providing updates of work to be done every day. Cleanup was good and the project was completed in a timely manner! I would recommend Lane and Distinct renovations for any exterior outdoor project that I needed completed! Great experience and so many compliments from my neighbors!

Lane came out for a quote on my roof on a Monday, materials were here by Tuesday, and the roof was started and finished by the end of the day Wednesday! I told my friends they left my yard cleaner than before they started! Very Professional and worked around my schedule. The guys installing my windows even suggested going with a smaller wrap around my frame because they thought it would look better. The Windows look great with the smaller wrap!! Once my sliding glass doors were installed they even went to the detail of making sure everything looked great.
