Wheeling Volkswagen, July 22, 2024. We are traveling from Massachusetts in our 2016 Passat. Unfortunately I brushed/ bumped into a curb, and feared damage to our tire. Called Wheeling VW, and Renee, in the service department set us up with a same day appointment. Richard, our service technician, checked out our tire damage, and all the tires, topped them off, reported no damage to worry about. No charge. We got to wait in a nice warm lounge, free coffee, tv, wonderful people and experience. Thank you Wheeling VW.

So, I stopped in the dealership today with a VW that I recently purchased because the Check Engine Light came on. I purchased a warranty when I bought the vehicle so I figured it wouldn’t be a problem using it there. The Service writer looked at me and said they don’t accept warranties and the coverage isn’t worth the writing on the paper. I’m extremely upset by the way I was spoken to. He insinuated that I made a terrible decision by purchasing the warranty. I left there embarrassed. I then stopped at a family owned small repair center and he was great! He felt bad for the way I was treated and then told me that he has Dealt with this warranty company many times before and they are great to work with. Volkswagen Subaru is very unprofessional.

Knowledgeable, polite, professional, service writer, Pete was wonderful to deal with. My other vehicle was weeks at a nearby dealership, and I really needed a loaner in order to get my VW serviced. Pete helped me get the loaner and throughout the whole process kept me informed. Thanks, Pete! You have definitely earned my business for my next vehicle purchase.

If I could rate this place a zero I would. Most unprofessional service manager I’ve ever met. They won’t admit to things they broke during a service. Parts of the car were working that are now not..never take your car there to get serviced!
Not to mention, a recall was fixed 2 yrs ago.. it broke again. But ohhh so sorry only 1 yr warranty! $700+

I liked that Wheeling VW had all the details on the webpage and opened with a fair deal. We wanted a Passat (we have been loving our 2008 for 17 years) and they had it displayed along Rt 40....thoroughly described on the website....and priced with a real offer (I do not like to "haggle" ). They were super chill about test driving and open to my looking at the other models to confirm our pick. It was also nice that the salesmen did not feel competitive. It felt like everyone at the dealership was working together. I appreciate the salesman's patience with the test drive and how prepared everyone was when we finished the paper work. The salesman even shared all the vehicle details with my insurance agent so all I had to do was confirm the purchase with them.

Great service, all questions were answered quickly. Purchasing a car was quick, easy, and none of the usual car purchase nonsense with taking tons of time meeting with a manager to get a deal approved. Would buy a car here again.

These guys rock! Our EOS convertible top broke and wouldn't close. We were nearby Wheeling VW when it happened. We were 850 miles from home and just passing through. In about an hour they had us back on the road with a closed roof for no charge! AMAZING! THANK YOU!

Do not bring your VW here if you have an aftermarket warranty! I brought my car in due to check engine light and other issues that concerned me about continuing to drive my car. They ran the diagnostic and we paid out of pocket for but they refused to call our warranty to start a claim and find out if the repair can be covered. The wanted us to pay out of pocket for the parts over $350 to get them ordered without calling to start a claim to see if the repair is covered under our warranty so we know we can be reimbursed for the parts later by the warranty company and then the repairs be paid by them once done. I can not start this claim because the repair man has to call and give service part numbers to my warranty in order for them to look up if the repair is eligible for coverage etc. The guy who did the diagnostic said th hey have never had to do that before while my warranty people said this is standard procedure so he ends up telling us the guy who does this is on vacation and my car was safe to drive out of state for vacation and when I get back to come back in to speak with him. Well my car was not fine to drive out of town and has gotten worst where it shuts off in the middle of the road and I went up there to speak with them and the receptionist told me nobody was on vacation and she was unsure why they told us that but would leave my info and a note about the problem with some man named Ron and he would get back to me when he was in the office. Never called me back so I’m taking my car elsewhere. We were fully ready to pay out of pocket for the parts as long as they called to start a claim with our warranty. Our warranty told us not to pay for anything until the claim is started and we knew for sure everything else would be covered cost wise. Bad customer service. Bad chain of communication. Uneducated workers. I also talked to the finance guy at the dealership even though we bought the VW from another dealership and he said he didn’t understand why they were giving us such a hard time because he deal with the dealership warranties and it’s standard procedure to contact the warranty on the vehicle before any repairs or service decisions are made and start a claim if the repair is eligible for warranty coverage. Imagine had I paid out of pocket for parts that day and they had never called to start the claim while I was out of town. This has been going on for a month now. We will see if someone will finally call me back after reading this review or not. 2017 VW Jetta brought in for diagnostic on 8/15/23 look up the rest of our info yourselves if you’re capable of that.

I wouldn’t take my VW anywhere else. I appreciate everything they do to take care of my car. I got an oil change, tire rotation, and new wiper blades. They did an in-depth inspection and it needed an air filter which they replaced.

I purchased my 2019 Atlas shortly after Christmas last year and I cannot say enough good things about this dealership. Truly the best I’ve ever dealt with or seen anyone ever deal with. When buying our vehicle, DJ was awesome! We had just come from getting jerked around by another dealership for HOURS over a different Atlas. When I arrived I told DJ, “I’m leaving here in 1 hour whether a deal is done or not” and he said “no problem” and all in all I believe buying our car took a TOTAL of 20 minutes. It was incredible. Fast forward to now, a few months later, and my remote start stopped working. I shot a text to DJ, and the service department reached out immediately and had me in the very next day. I went yesterday- I was in and out and fixed in no time and Renee from the service department even called today to check and make sure everything with our vehicle was still ok. I cannot recommend this dealership, DJ, or Renee enough. It’s rare to see service this great anymore and I appreciate it so much!

I had my car in for an oil leak on a Friday and a diagnostic test was done. They "fixed the problem" for over $1000 so I took my car home and over the weekend I noticed my car was leaking oil again. I called to get my car back in and when I was called there was another problem and labor was over $1000. I feel the problem was never properly diagnosed and I should not have to pay all of the labor since my car was just in there on Friday and I was told it was fixed. I am a loyal VW customer but if this is the direction the company is headed I will not be purchasing a VW again. I chose to take my car there for service, trusting the problem would be found.

They don't have a collision center. They won't tell you that though until they are able to charge you $100 to tell you they can't help you, knowing you need a collision center. Instead of just saying that when you make an appointment to have your wrecked vehicle checked out.

I am never disappointed with any department's level of service at Wheeling VW. They bend over backwards to make me happy. I have been with this dealership for the last 10 years since moving to the Wheeling area and have owned 9 VWs prior to the one I am driving now.

Took my Subaru Outback to have a seat replaced. Everyone there was so friendly and courteous. The repair was done in a timely manner. Very pleased. Just another reason, when I need to purchase a new vehicle, I will settle for nothing less than a Subaru.
