The end result of finishing the upstairs was very good. I would allow 6 more weeks than Roger says, simply due to permitting. Project manager --- great communication. Sales guy --- not very knowledgeable, but kind.

Roger and his team were very helpful with assessing my water intrusion issues that I’ve had 2 other companies look at. Roger himself came out and was prompt and very knowledgeable with problem areas from new construction homes. The service was second to none, compared to several complies in the area that still haven’t returned my call after 2 weeks. 10 out of 10 would recommend for all of your construction needs.

We needed to get our roof replaced from a hail storm. Working with Roger made the experience so easy. He helped us throughout the whole process with insurance and the Roof install. His crew was professional and efficient, they did an excellent job. We would recommend Welter Construction to anyone in need of a contractor. Welp folks … I’m about as giddy as a person can get about having their home repaired.. I generally don’t do reviews but these guys are top notch … all of them for real! Prior to hiring them I was lucky enuff to have had interactions with a handful of their staff . They all are so positive and connected with eachother on any occasion where I would see their interactions. So I decided to work with them and they blew me away.. dealing with insurance (And yes most ppl do but….) they actually cared about having a working relationship with my insurance company and me!!! and making any choices ect …. they did all the heavy lifting .. and even anticipated a few issues my house personally would most likely have thru this process .. the thinking ahead on their part , being prepared and having a solid crew- took just one day to get this project done .. and they cleaned really really cleaned their work space… im serious yall … they are all amazing people and really care about their jobs and it shows!!! They hit the bullseye on everything so they get a zillion starts from me

I’m a new home owner and noticed I had a small leak in my roof — Ken with Welter Construction was referred to me, and it was a great and super easy experience. He was extremely responsive despite it being a very busy season, very helpful, and easy to talk to. He pointed out some future issues to look out for, gave me some great advice, and patched up my roof quickly and efficiently. Was a fantastic experience overall and I’ll definitely be a returning customer for any future roofing needs. Thank you again!!

I would never use this company for 2 reasons. 1. I have a no soliciting sign on my door, and yet the left me an unrequested brochure for replacing my roof due to hail damage (have had no hail this summer). and 2. this guy had the gall to walk across our yard with his DOG to our front door. We have dogs who very much did not appreciate a random stranger with a dog coming to their door.

After some hail damage to my home, Kyle from Welter came knocking on my door offering free inspections. He was so personable and professional. Right away they got the process going with my insurance company. We ran into some hiccups with how much the insurance company would give me. Kyle persisted that I should be awarded more money and fought for it. They hired an umpire to dispute the amount, and we ended up getting 5x's the initial amount!!! Although that process took over a year, Kyle checked in often and kept me up to date.
During this time, we also discovered a shower leak in my home that required redoing my shower. It was not an easy task. They gave me a quote and had someone out to fix the issue. They worked with me and helped me come up with solutions that fit my budget. I would highly recommend working with Welter on your next roofing needs!

Last year we discovered a major support wall in our bedroom had been rotting out from a skylight in our roof. We had already incurred over a $80k in repairs in the first year of owning our house. We knew this was going to devastate the last of our savings. We had many bids , seven altogether. Welter construction sent over Ryan and his team and I felt confident they would do exactly what I had envisioned. They were not the cheapest bid, but they offered the most complete repair and were far from the highest bid. We had to do nothing ourselves. They also added value to our home by installing a huge window in the bid. This wasn’t something I thought of prior. We put the deposit down with them and let them know we were flexible on time to completion. They completed the job under budget and in less than a month. We are extremely happy with the results. They will be our first call for all future projects and I am confident, I am getting the best value with Welter Construction.

(Many did). Roger was so very personable and very easy to talk with!! I was extremely impressed after years of experience with construction companies and not being impressed!
He was fabulous at inspection, advice about insurance, recognized not only roof damage but pointed out deck damage I never would have thought to consider! Very knowledgeable, suggestions I wouldn’t have known and very proactive to get the job done!

I had roofing and siding issue last year storm hell was damage to my house and I find Walter construction it came to my house. They estimated send it to the insurance. I want to work from insurance done. They send some people to do the roofing siding and everything was Greet , I really highly recommended, the owner of the company MR Rogers is one of the good guys too really responsible nice and recommended more then five stars thank you

Ken, what professionalism you displayed while coming out to my parants house. My folks asked me to be present when you arrived on a warranty claim. Hoping that having a similar tradesmen present they wouldn't get walked over like they have experienced from other companies. At no time did I feel the need to follow you and question your experience or knowledge of what we asked to be looked at. I could not belive you had all the original contracts and progress pictures. I had a garage fire in 2017 and had Welter Construction do the work. Just this summer we noticed there were some spots on the roof that needed attention. I contacted the company and Ken, the exterior field manager, responded. He came out and checked and saw the areas of issue. They had a crew out here the next week to fix the problems free of charge u it Nader their 10 year warranty. I didn’t have to pay a dime! He was very responsive and communicated well with everything. To be honest, when they did the original work, I wasn’t that satisfied, but the company has changed a lot. Their customer service is outstanding, and I would highly recommend them. Thank you Ken for all that you have done.

I couldn’t be more satisfied after choosing Welter Construction for the roof repair on my house. The damage was caused by a late summer hail storm. Project manager Kyle Clement answered all of my questions and concerns. After personally inspecting the damage to my shingles and roof, he clearly explained all of the work that would be performed.

Moreover, Kyle even met with my Progressive insurance claims estimator to help ensure that no storm damage would be overlooked. Working with Welter Construction was hassle free. I found that the local area, decades-old, family business is honest, fair, knowledgeable and very professional with an outstanding reputation.

Welter found hail damage for us on our roof and skylights when other companies didn't (thank you Roger and Dale!). The insurance company approved it and they did the rest. The roofing team had it torn off and rebuilt in one day. They also had to do work inside putting up new trim for our 3 skylights. Donny and Alex did a great job with that. Yisrael and his team did a fantastic job scraping our popcorn ceiling, doing drywall repair and a new knockdown ceiling including painting. They came back to do touchups so it turned out perfect. Great communication by Brandon keeping me informed of the plan. Highly recommend the entire team. Thank you!!

Welter replaced my roof and deck. The workmanship was excellent, and the workers were professional, communicated well and were pleasant to deal with. I'm also having them replace my windows and siding, so an additional review to follow.

From start to finish this company took care of everything for me. I had a full roof, siding, and gutters replaced. They made this entire process pain and stress free. The speed and quality of work that was put into everything they did was next to none; roof was replaced in a day, siding less than a week, and gutters in under an HOUR. I absolutely felt so confident in their work and knowledge in handling my hail damage claim. Roger was at my house before the insurance adjuster arrived and assured me he would handle everything for me. We had an excellent experience with Welter Construction, I am usually very cautious when working with contractors, because I know to expect delays and other issues. However Dale, our project manager was very prompt, I would have a response from him right away when I would text. When we decided on our roof material and color we had the materials delivered within the first week. and shortly after that, the crew came out to work. Everything was done very professionally, and on time. They were very careful around the house, so if you have landscaping, nothing to worry about. We also met with Roger the owner, he was very transparent, and had constant communication with us. Thank You Welter Construction for making this a smooth and stress free project for us.

I was cold-called by his sales team after our hail storm this summer. I was skeptical as usual, but since they were local and I hadn’t had a contractor out yet I said sure to damage inspection. Roger confirmed what I suspected. He worked with our adjuster and insurance company to get the roof approved for replacement, and he stuck to the costs approved by my insurance. The work was done well and timely, after he found our shingles since they were out of stock because everyone was getting new roofs. Final payment and details were done after city inspection. I’m having him do a roof on my cabin next spring.

They do beautiful work! Great with communication, really respectful and worked very hard. I had a challenging project because my home is so old, but they really rolled with the punches. I'd hire them again!

Welter has turned a 15’ x 15’ addition with small deck from a contracted 4-6 week project into a 16 month project from hell. From the beginning the blueprint didn’t tie the addition to the house, they didn’t order materials when they said, cut open my roof and left exposed causing water damage, used all of my new house touch up paint as primer, left trash across the street without a dumpster, stored materials on my lawn killing the lawn, ordered the wrong size windows, cut open the walls before confirming window sizes, hanging tacky plywood, and demanding payments before work was complete. They take your 40% deposit and then disappear for months at a time. They don’t answer the phone or return emails and texts in a timely manner, and when they do they lie. They don’t honor what they say, and go back on their word demanding exorbitant change orders to do work if not explicitly documented in plans. They use subcontractors busy working on other projects, and don’t show up when they say and don’t clean up after themselves. Roger the owner is a legend in his own mind, and is the most unprofessional person to his subs and clients. He’s seeking final payment before state electrical and city inspection. He’s censured by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry for multiple bad business practices. Don’t believe what his salesman say, they only want your deposit to keep his business afloat.

Welter construction installed a new roof and rain gutters due to hail damage from a 2021 storm. I was very pleased with the quality of the roof itself. Kyle did an amazing job at keeping in contact with me and helping understand the process. Insurance claim was handled in the background. No complaints from me.
