Wellnitz Tree Care - Emporia, KS

Service was a relatively minor trimming of a tree, but workers were very professional and careful not to damage lawn in process of the trimming. Appropriate equipment was used for the job. Cleanup was exceptionally good. This was not the first time we used the service. Bids were clear and understandable. Business kept in touch regularly regarding the timing of the work. Comfortable with recommending them for all levels of service.

They have taken good care of my two ash trees and kept them from dying. They also found the most wonderful tree for my daughter's ashes. The tree looks so healthy and beautiful.

Wellnitz staff did an amazing job taking down two trees in our yard today. They worked steadily, carefully, avoided dropping any limbs on nearby flowers, a nearby fence and a deck. They cleaned up beyond what we would have expected. No trace of left-over limbs or branches, or even shavings. We highly recommend them!

Arrived on time. Excellent equipment. Very efficient workers did professional job of taking down two large cedar trees very close to neighbor. Very careful in clean up. Definitely a five star job.

They what we asked for, they were prompt, polite. And came back and fixed damage done to the yard due to soft turf.

The Wellnitz team did a wonderful job of a difficult tree removal, stump grinding and clean up. They were very professional, friendly and even cut up some wood for me. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I had a 100 year old oak tree that had been hit by lightening and was hanging over the house. Wellnitz took this 70 foot tree down in two days. They also ground the stump and cleaned up after. Even the person I hired to come split the wood, was amazed at how good of a job they did cleaning up. They were also the most affordable. Thanks Wellnitz.

I had two very large cottonwoods removed from my front yard. Wellnitz had the equipment and expertise to remove these trees from difficult, tricky locations, wedged between powerlines, my garage, and other trees that I did not want damaged. They ground the stumps and cleaned up very well. The guy in the bucket with the saw did a great job and I was particularly impressed with Saul Leyva. He was really nice, very skillful with the grapple truck and did great work.

I called to see about having a stump removed. They were quick and getting out and getting me an estimate and getting it scheduled. The representative from their company contacted me to let me know they would be a few days behind because they were down a machine they did this well in advance of their appointment and I wasn’t left wondering why they didn’t show up which I really appreciated! Juan and Kenny removed a huge tree stump in a matter of a couple of hours. They were courteous and reviewed what they were going to do and even offered to haul off some of the paving timbers. He showed me the job when they were about done and there were a few routes I wanted removed and he did that for me and explained what was left. Highly recommend!

I appreciated the fact that they educated me on what my ideas of what I wanted done. The knowledge base that they had well exceeded my expectations. In turn I learned what to do and most importantly what not to do for the well being of my trees. Additionally they were professional and maintained great communication.

Alan, Lupe, Saul, and Juan came to remove two large trees and grind several stumps. One tree was a cottonwood that was hanging over our house. They took care to take the tree down in a controlled manner and not harm the house. They also removed a carpenter ant infested willow. They did all of this in one day! (And it was very cold.). I would recommend them to anyone, worth the price. We also had Skyler Delmott give us the quote, which they did very efficiently, and treat a pine tree in our front yard. We would definitely go back to this business for future needs. Thank you!

Wellnitz Tree Service removed a massive silver maple from our yard today. I was amazed at their skill level, creativity and tools used. They removed the tree safely, without damage to our yard, and ground the stump down. They left the yard in pristine condition when they left. Well done! I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Wellnitz came out to trim up my ash tree nearly a month ago. Zach and Jason made short work of the full tree trim. By the time I had returned home for lunch, they were in the process of cleaning up the pile of limbs that they had created. During this time, Skyler had stopped by to ensure everything was going smoothly.

Jump forward to today, I have still been very pleased with the work they had completed. I would consider them again if I had future work to be completed.

We were very pleased with how we were treated from the first time they showed up the night of the storm to when they finished up with the repair to the damaged tree. They left our yard clean with no damage. They were all polite and friendly. 5 star treatment! The Zieglers

First and foremost, I’m only giving this review with respect to how I was treated and may not be a reflection of how they treat other customers. I did get an estimate and was told that I would receive it once the guy left. I also scheduled with the gentleman who showed up to do the estimate and was told it would take approximately a month before someone could take care of my trees. Six weeks later We get an email with an estimate three days prior to the scheduled appointment which was $200 more than what we were told on the original visit. The crew showed up one day early ready to do the job with no warning or call letting us know that they had move the date up. Since this date would not work for us and the issue was brought up on their arrival we never heard back from them again. The gentleman that did show up was very apologetic but I’m still left with tree sitting in my yard so I will be turning to another service.

Loved the work the guys did and very satisfied with their clean up after trees were cleaned up. Will have them come back again for sure.

They did a good job trimming my neighbors tree. However........they asked polietly if i could move my car out of the driveway and park their truck there as to not interfer with me leaving soon. Sure no problem. When i returned they had drove through my yard in multiple spots and because it had just rained, left big mud puddles and spots all over. Not happy at all!!
Update. I added stars because after calling they had someone come out quickly and take a look. After some talking he insisted they take care of it all. I very much appreciate this and i know my family will remeber this when we need tree services! Thank you!

Excellent service! We called the day after a big storm broke several large branches off our trees, and the estimator was at our house within about 2 hours. The estimate was prepared immediately, and the work was done within about 5 days. In addition to storm clean-up, Wellnitz performed structural pruning on 4 trees, and removed one (including the stump). The work was very professionally done, and all limbs/branches were removed. Our property was left very clean. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wellnitz, or to use them again.

Wellnitz Tree Care has taken care of our needs from removing a large tree damaged from an ice storm to trimming both large and small trees. Every time we’ve received Five Star Service.

Wellnitz tree crews showed up and I discussed what the projects were and asked if they had any questions. When the crews were done they had done a terrific job. My only criticism would be after they had left I found small branch's in the neighbors yard where the limbs had been stacked waiting to be chipped. Not a major criticism just that you might pass along to the crews. You might want the client to walk the job down to make sure the job is satisfactory prior to them leaving.

We've used Wellnitz Tree Care for years because they are always professional and courteous. They always clean up any debris extremely well and make sure I'm satisfied with their job before they leave. We wouldn't use anyone else.
