Dealing with Waddle Roofing and Steve Howey was very pleasant. I was informed of each step and given information concerning a prior leak with damage. All of my questions were answered and the appropriate info was sent to my insurance company. I would definitely recommend this roofing company.

Worked with me on the timing of the install. Did not pressure me for extra products or fees. Did A+ job on install and cleanup.

July 31 Storm - Salina - Gutter Damage

I called Weddle & Sons Inc. (headquartered in Manhattan) on Thursday, Aug 1. On Sunday, Aug 4, Mr. Steve Howey (Salina Branch Manager) returned my call and was here to assess the storm damage to my roof and gutter as promised on Tuesday, Aug 6. Repairs were completed on Thursday, Aug 15. This company absolutely lives up to its reputation.

Steve was good to work with through the estimation process and working with insurance to process a claim. The actual work done, not so much. One example; we were not happy with the sheet metal job that was done along the roofline (uneven and looked considerably worse than what they replaced). We were just told that it was the best they could do. A few months later and that had come loose and was banging in the wind. For what we paid for a new roof, I would expect that a roofing company would do better.

One of the things we regretted most when we sold our previous home 4 years ago was leaving our Weddle and Sons roof. The home we purchased has an inferior one and we recently needed to address a leak over the kitchen. Of course we called Weddle and Sons! We are so happy with the work that was done by Steve and Brian! We struggled for over a year trying to find a contractor that would help us after our house was damaged by a huge windstorm. It was an awkward, difficult job, but they were so nice and helpful. They were even extremely considerate of our landscaping. They went above and beyond what any other company would have done. Our house looks great and we wouldn't hesitate to call them in the future if we needed them again.

Sometimes recommendations fall short of the most basic expectations; however, when I found myself in need of a roofer, Steve Howey (Weddle & Sons Roofing in Salina) more than met—he surpassed—the high recommendation, and my expectations. I found Mr. Howey to be the utmost professional—well mannered and a man of his word: called when he said he would call; he showed up when he said he would show up, and on time; he was organized, detailed, and extremely knowledgable in all aspects of roofing and materials. He provided me with plenty of photographs of the problem area, and suggested ways to make the repairs. No less important, at the end of the job, there were no “unforeseen” added costs to the original estimate. The crew did a great job, too; the men worked steadily, they were neat, and cleaned up and removed all the debris.
In short, five stars is not enough to describe the quality of the process, the work, and my satisfaction. I have no reason to think twice about calling Mr. Howey for any and all future roofing repairs or replacement.

Job was completed to a high level, yard was appropriately cleaned up and personal property and plants protected. I liked the fact that a Forman was on site for the duration of the job to make sure everything was completed as per bid. Quality firm that I will undoubtedly use in the future.
