SUMMARY: Contracted work only to cancel the project +2 weeks after confirming receipt of the signed contract. This company will not communicate with you and lacks professionalism.

EDIT: Owner responded to review half-truths. She told me this was a "filler" project when I called 10 days after she confirmed receipt of the contract. No mention of this when the work was contracted. She also provided an alternative electrician AFTER I informed her, I would be leaving a review - not when she initially cancelled the project.

Contacted Weaver to quote two projects, deciding to move forward with only one since I was able to find a different contractor who quoted the other project for a fraction of the cost.

I signed the contract provided with me and emailed it to Tina Weaver to which she responded "Received. I will keep you posted on scheduling." 10 days go by and no word from Weaver. I call and Tina informs me that they are trying to find a time to squeeze me in since it won't be a long project. I call again after 4 more days go by without receiving an update from Weaver. 15 days confirming receipt of the proposal I get an email stating only the following "Good afternoon, Unfortunately, our electrician will not be able to get to your project therefore we will need to pass on the job."

Just had an office finished in my basement. Great work and didn't take very long either. Scott made the process very easy.

Leave It To Weaver recently finished our lower level at our home and I can tell you it came out great! Scot had great ideas on where and how to make our space fantastic! We have had two big gatherings since they finished and all our guests were blown away!
I would recommend Leave It To Weaver for any home improvement you are thinking about. Check out the picture of our new bar! It's fantastic!

Found Weaver Construction by accident, and so happy we did. They were honest, prompt and reasonably priced. Best was the beautiful deck we ended with! Our only regret is I wish we would have found them sooner. Feel free to contact us if you need any more info on this company! 5 stars all the way!

Weaver commercial and home improvement has done a few projects for us. We had them finish our basement about a year ago and the crew was very professional, responsive and they did great work. Just recently we called Scot and Tina to do some remodeling in our Kitchen. Another awesome experience and exquisite work. I am especially impressed with Stanley. He is the best detail and finish employee that I have experienced with Scots crew. Anytime we have another remolding project we will be sure to call Scot and Tina.

Scott Weaver is a very solid owner/operator and setting up good work to keep more business coming. And the Staff is very helpful with the application process, I hated I had to leave from family matters but I'm in talks with "Leave It To Weaver" Construction and hopefully I get another shot with an awesome business.

-Thanks for the experience either way!

I had a great experience with Scot and his team. There are different guys, each with their own expertise but all having knowledge in any general contracting work. Everyone loved on the dogs and were really laid back and friendly. Anytime there was a question or concern dialog was open and candid. Additionaly each employee was just down the Earth and showed me how processes worked and a little more insight to construction in general. We had a full bathroom and laundry room combo put in the basement of an older home. Exterior walls were put up along two sides of the house so that I can set up a living room and hobby space. I would recommend Weaver to any friends or family.

Weaver finished our basement in February 2021, and we could not be happier with it! They were very easy to work with and did a great job.

Reframed a large kitchen window that required extending the roof line, large custom sliding window, drywall, etc. Besides challenges obtaining the custom window due to COVID production delays, the entire project went very smoothly and quick (3 days start to finish). Very impressed with the lead carpenter, Matt, who was very communicative on the design and next steps during the process. The owner Scot, checked in with me daily.

We were very happy with the deck we had installed by Leave it to Weaver. They did exactly what we wanted with the materials we wanted. They didn't try to sell us a product or refuse to build it as we asked. I also had them do work at my Dad's that only needed a new deck floor and step treads. They did a great job on that too and didn't cost an arm and a leg. I would highly recommend them for a deck project

My parents looked at many contractors before choosing Weaver. They thought they were choosing a company who shared the same values as them: honesty, punctuality and respect. Sadly, they chose a company which displayed none of these qualities. Their phone calls have gone unanswered. Their concerns about the uneven roof and vinyl, sloppy mud/paint job have left them deeply disappointed and unsatisfied. Weaver will try to tell you it’s the weather, or it’s COVID, or some other lame excuse. But here’s the truth- plain and simple- the job is not finished, what is finished is unsatisfactory, unprofessional staff and very questionable business practices. Keep in mind the majority of the contracted work was outside, as in, to say “COVID” was cause for such delays is simply incorrect. Weaver will also claim “the client hasn’t fully paid”. If you signed a contract to have a restaurant deliver 20 sandwiches and they delivered 10 half eaten, soggy, mold ridden sandwiches- would you pay the full amount for the remaining 10 sandwiches or would you try to mitigate and investigate why the first 10 were so terrible before accepting the next 10? Precisely, you wouldn’t until the job was properly completed or a refund was issued for the poor quality initially. When researching for a contractor, know that you will want to give your hard earned money to a company who genuinely cares, completes the job with the utmost professionalism and maintains honest and transparent communication. If you’re looking for that, Weaver is not your contractor.

We just had our atrium staircase updated/upgraded by Leave It To Weaver. The project turned out great! There were two different carpenters doing the construction, and they both were very competent and professional. They also did a great job minimizing the mess and cleaning up each day. Scot Weaver came by daily to make sure everything was going good with the project and on schedule. He was also willing to adjust his estimate to allow me to do my own painting and staining. This was our second time using Leave It To Weaver - they extended our roof to cover the existing deck. We will definitely consider them again for any future projects.

There is so much more to the story, but we will start here...
On July 25 2020, Scot was told about the leak via text (with photos). I have most his exchanges with me via text in an effort to capture his word. He sent over a person who over applied silicone caulk to the roof, around the chimney and J channel siding. The ceiling continues to leak, so again I texted Scot. On Saturday August 1st 2020,  I was told by Scot, "I just texted the roofing company that did the job"  "Roofer said he'll be out there in the next couple hours."  Three hours later, two males arrived; again their "solution" was to add even more caulk to the already overly caulked area; making the mess on my roof even worse and still not providing a fix to the leaking problem. I then was left with no choice, but to get on the roof and see for myself. While on the roof,  I pointed out to the "roofer" that the shingles on the peak are upside down and the metal-water-flashing around the chimney was cut too short during installation. I asked the two guys the name of the roofing company they work for and they said they didn't know. I eventually asked them again the name of their roofing company and they told me they work for Scot Weaver and not a roofing company. I then tried to call and text Scot several times about the issues and got no response. Prior to the alleged "roofers" leaving, they tore off a section of shingle to color match my roof. The two guys returned with a bundle of shingles and got on the roof, again.  I then went back up on the roof to see that they are about to replace the shingles with a very different color shingle than what is currently on my roof.  I tell the guys to stop and call or text Scot.  After no response from Scot, they leave and said they would be back Monday (Aug 3rd 2020). I continue  to call and text Scot several times; approximately over 140 text messages. Yet I still have not received a response. In conclusion, the he roof still leaks, the  drywall will need to be repaired or replaced due to the water damage, my glass door still has nail scratches embedded in it and these "cosmetic" pillars are still 1/4 inch too short.  In previous correspondences with Scot, when questioned about the delay in work and when the approximate completion would be he would give multiple reasons like the the weather, the client (me), and COVID-19 the list goes on and on. But the facts remain, Scot has not completed the project professionally, timely and correctly. I do not want others to fall victim to he and his company's careless and downright improper, unsafe construction. I am bothered by the fact that he has will say "it's funny" the client (me) doesn't recall certain aspects of our exchanges; on the contrary, I recall everything that was discussed and have text/ picture evidence of what has been discussed. There is nothing "funny" about this situation- this is serious and concerning that Scot Weaver is somehow able to take on new construction projects, fool future clients with his promised services yet cannot even properly and correctly manage the projects he currently has in progress.

Weaver did a great job on our home. We are selling our house, and they fixed all issues we had with our walls, and painted everything. The paint looks amazing, and their employees were on-time, friendly and did an amazing job. Thanks Weaver!

Installed a range hood and vented it out through the attic. They did the work quickly, and the results look very professional. The carpenter that did the job was friendly, professional, and cleaned up well when the work was completed. All together a very good experience. I would recommend Weaver in the future. We plan to have them do a 3 season room for us in the future.

The "Weaver" team recently completed a complete remodel or our home, from floor to ceiling and everything in between. Great job of helping us make the key decisions, suggesting ideas handling all the sub-contractors. It was a big job and they tackled it. Highly recommend!

Horrible service by Weaver Construction. Broke my brand new light fixture while repairing wall and never responded, broke my waterline on my brand new refrigerator and took a chunk out of the top corner of the freezer door, installed sump drainage incorrectly and had to hire someone to fix it, the sump was also stuck against the walls and could not float and would have flooded our basement if we had not gone down to check on it. I had to fight with the site manager to get my wood floor installed correctly. My bathroom sinks are not what I wanted and Scot would do nothing to fix the problem. On top of all of this their email was hacked so don't trust them to receive your payments. They have an easy to hack yahoo account so be ware! They will blame you! So many problems even before the hack. Sloppy work and he does not hire professionals to do each job. He uses the same guy for electrical, sanding, painting, flooring, plumbing, or anything else. I had new carpet installed while they were working, I asked them when I should have it done, they are the ones that told me anytime is fine, then they were very difficult to work with after it was installed and I did not want sanding dust in my new carpet. I wanted the room with new carpet tarped off to avoid all of that dust in the new carpet. If they didn't want to work with it, then they should have given me a later date or told me to wait until they were completely done. They never covered a single item (and we didn't have much because we were just moving in and waiting until construction was over) but just sanded away and got dust all over the little bit of stuff I had. I had to start covering everything in my house every day because I never knew if they were going to sand that day or not. They never finished the all behind my bathroom cabinets, just screwed in several pieces of sheetrock, but no mud or tape, installed my cabinets without a backing to the wall and there were huge holes in the walls around my pipes. After complaining they slopped on a huge goop of mud around the pipes, but the wall was never taped or mudded, the counter top does not lay flat, and the drawers can't open all the way because they hit the trim on the wall (they said they could adjust it, but it still doesn't work). Ended up firing them for their bad service.

Exceptional. For real.
I received 3 estimates on my basement remodel and leave it to weaver, came in at the best price and recommended things I wouldn’t have even thought of. This company has been in the industry for over 30 years and knows there stuff. I would highly recommend this company to a friend or family member.

I am delayed in writing this. One reason is because I was hoping that Scot would come and finish the job. He hasn't. The office staff is very nice to deal with, but they don't seem to have much control on what he deems important enough to tend to. I wanted my deck screened in and the framing around my deck door to be replaced and painted. I wanted removal screens. When the workman came to start he was right on time, and very nice. I went about my business for the day. Looked out to see how things were going and noticed the screen was being installed from floor to ceiling. I went out and talked to the fellow and told him, something is not right here...I wanted removal screens. His answer was "you can remove these, you just need to pull this spline out and the screen will come out!" WHAT?? NO!! I don't want to have to pull spline out of a groove to remove the whole screen. I wanted to be able to wash my railing - since now it was going to be on the outside of this screened area. I called the office, she said she would talk to Scot. Scot never called and the worker kept on installing the rest of the screen. After making so many calls to be told that they would make sure he got back to me - he never did. To say the least I was disappointed with the screen job and he never came back to fix the molding around the door. Yes, I paid in advance - WHICH I WILL NEVER DO AGAIN! I guess we're never too old to learn. Just don't expect him to stand by his word. In spite of the fact the screening was not done to my wishes, we have still enjoyed a screened in deck and I just don't worry about the railing dust...I have to make sure they clean it well when I get the house washed.

Small job contracted. I want to install a 15 ft. fence. Hard to nail them down on a schedule. They only want to do my job when the ground is too wet to pour concrete and they cant work on their more exclusive and more expensive jobs. I guess it makes sense. But, I'll just hire a local carpenter to do the job. Sorry to trouble you Mr. Weaver with my little meager job. My dad was a construction contractor and he would have never treated customers or potential customers this way.

I had them come out and give us an estimate for a rear door for our house. It needed to be replaced due to improper installation from prior to us purchasing the home. The band board was damaged due to rot. Before they started the job, I had second thoughts on using them, but the door had already been ordered. So we decided to have them install the door in our laundry room that goes to the back of the house as well. The installation was less than professional. The installer was going to install regular wood inside trim on the exterior of the door, we had to go to the store and get brick molding for him to install. When he was finished, the door looked ok. I did not notice the 1/2 inch gap that was left under the door sill plate. You could see daylight under the door. Instead of calling them, We fixed it ourselves. I will say this, we paid a reasonable amount, and when we requested the remainder of our funds back from the difference in the two jobs, they were very prompt in getting these back to us. I would not recommend them for door installs. It does not appear to be thier area of expertise.

We hired Leave it to Weaver to do a bathroom remodel. Price was great but I guess you get what you pay for. One year later tile is popping off the floor and the shower grout is cracked and leaking. We have now had 4 other contractors out to figure out how to fix the problem with the leaking and they all say the same thing--the tile was installed incorrectly. Besides not being tiled correctly it just looks sloppy. The crown molding had big seams so we have now had that all replaced by another contractor. Pay a little more and get quality work.

Scot Weaver and his crew did a beautiful job on our roof. I was shocked at how professional and dedicated Scot and his crew was to replacing my roof. Honestly, I thought the job would take 2-3 days, but the foreman arrived early in the morning assessing the area, and they worked until the evening replacing a 2,500 sq. ft. roof with architectural shingles. I highly recommend Leave It To Weaver, and hope to use their service for other future constructions needs in the future. Lastly, Scot materials and cost was much cheaper, and he didn't skimp on the job. Thank You, Leave It To Weaver, for a beautiful job!!!!
