Water Mold Fire Restoration of Minneapolis

After reading some good reviews, we decided to go with Water Mold Fire Restoration to remediate the mold in our home. Unfortunately, our experience was nothing like the positive reviews. We could not trust this company to complete the job with expertise and thoroughness. We could also not trust management to provide quality customer service. A couple other hiccups aside, after the job was not fully completed—mold remained—the solution was to charge us more money. Therefore, we decided to turn elsewhere to take care of the mold. After expressing our complaints to little avail and a phone call from the area's project manager/COO lacking a genuine quality of customer service, we could not sign the "Certificate of Satisfaction." Please consider any of the other negative reviews before doing business with Water Mold Fire.

A positive experience we had with WMF is when we requested that the technician return to help resolve a lingering issue from that day's work, he kindly returned.

We went through WMF for an estimate on mold remediation. The process of the estimate was fine and speaking with the customer service representatives went well. The trouble we ran into was with our area's project manager, Ryan. He was unreliable with returning our emails and phone calls. We are getting a home renovation loan to deal with the mold issue we are having and even though our contractor explained several times and in detail what Ryan needed to do to get paid the way he wanted to, he was unwilling to cooperate with us and after months of trying to get in touch with him and his company, we had had enough. We are seeking help outside of this company. The customer service from the representatives and from the gentlemen who came out to provide our estimate was very nice. However, Ryan made it extremely frustrating and difficult to work with this company. I would not recommend this company.

Ryan insisted we pay 50% up front and 50% after the work had been completed. Our home renovation loan required a breakdown of labor and materials in order to do it that way. Ryan would not do that. He wouldn't accept payment after either. He refused to even attempt to work with us and simply ceased all communications and denied our business.
Also, their communication was terrible! We would call and call and would not receive a call back unless we spoke to Ryan himself. The employees were somewhat friendly and helpful, but Ryan 100% lacked customer service, cooperation skills and overall etiquette.

I would also like to add, the reply to this post is a blatant lie. It took several attempts of reaching out to get replies. I don't know who they are kidding. I had multiple people trying to reach out multiple times a day.

This company is not locally based and only has one technician who is extremely unqualified. He came out to do the estimate and I had to convince him to go into the attic and explain multiple times where the damage was. When we contracted for remidiation, I didn't know the estimator would be the guy to do the work. Had I known that we wouldn't have moved forward. When he explained the work, he kept saying "they will" so I wrongfully assumed there was a separate remidiation team. He didn't bring out the right sized equipment to fit into our attic, they tried to tell me they were going to pull moldy & cold outside air into our house to be cleaned since they couldn't fit the air cleaner into the attic.When I called their office to voice concerns, I was transferred to an office in Illinois and the guy I spoke to there had to call the tech and redirect his efforts, but it still didn't resolve the fact that they wouldn't be cleaning the air in the room impacted--they would be pulling it into our house and cleaning it, and I guess they thought the clean air would just float back up?! To make matters worse, they didn't have another technician to send or a smaller air cleaner to fit into the space (our attic opening is standard size (22x30) and you can stand up in our attic). To top it off, they are charging us a $500.00 cancellation fee, despite not being able to do the work as contracted. We will now have to pursue a chargeback with our credit card company. Do not hire this company. Perhaps at one time they were good, but it's now a one man shop locally and the guy isn't experienced.

Update (2/5): Just got home and listened to my voicemail (and saw the response below). In the voicemail left mid-day today, they are telling me they have a solution. But wait, according to their management & your response here, I thought you said there was no problem? Saving the voicemail for the chargeback since we didn't "cancel"--the scope contracted for wasn't to be performed. Two other remediation companies have now come by for estimates this week and shook their heads in disbelief when I told them about our experience. They said that the area impacted in the attic should be the area "contained" & cleaned. Placing an air cleaner in our closet (nowhere near the mold) would've done nothing. Our independent mold inspector agreed. I sincerely hope this ends here and they don't wrongfully charge us, but instead spend more time working with their staff on training & education. Additionally, they are lying when they say their staff is local. The tech that came out told my dad he commutes from Chicago weekly. The number they keep calling me from is a 630 area code (Chicago suburbs).

Update (2/7): The owner of the company aggressively contacted me today (also from a 630 area code) and asked that I remove this review in exchange for them not charging us the $500. cancellation fee. When I said no, and asked him to stop contacting me, he then started sending text messages. I repeatedly told them to stop or I would contact the police. Trying to argue with, extort, & intimidate customers is not the way to resolve issues or do business. I contacted our local police and asked them to follow-up with the owner & will follow-up with the AG's office.

Younes was wonderful to work with. He provided a lot of practical, helpful advice for our specific mold problem. We ultimately went with another company that could come out sooner to our house to begin remediation, but definitely recommend WMF to others who need help with mold remediation.

I had an Wonderful experience while working with this company. The WMF team was highly professional and thoroughness towards their work. I called them for the removal and cleaning of water damage at my house. The team was excellent from beginning to end. They not only removed the damaged materials which was happened due to water leakage but also dried out the area and made everything clean and clear and also charged me with a fair price. Will definitely recommend them to everyone.

Excellent service and very professional. They came over, provided a quote and was able to complete the work in less than one week. Excellent communication through the entire process.

There are a lot of positive things about this company. If you ever need flood or water remediation services to look no further. The people are the BEST and I recommend them.

I got lots of water at my garage. I searched on google and found WMF. I immediately called them. Customer support asked me lots of question and send their team. Team reached at my house with in 30 mintues. One of team member came to me and calm down me. He told me every strategy and started their work. they finished their work in three hours. They found the main reason of the water flood and also ressolved that. I highly recommend WMF for everyone.

Once they got out of the crawl space, with a proper method the pest guy definitely did not use....they walked around the perimeter of the house and spotted an issue with the AC and fixed by WMF technician with in 45 minutes. I wish to give 10 star for your team.

Every question that I asked about the procedure like:- what they were doing and why they were doing it, they were happy to answer the questions and they made me feel comfortable. I am very satisfied with the service. They overall did a great job.

I am out of town and it rained very hard and very windy. After coming back, I saw some damage in two rooms in the kitchen and the dining room. It looked like the boards were swollen in my kitchen. It needed heavy fans to dry it all out. They were excellent at their job.

WMF is really as good as its reviews. The price was competitive and they were able to carry out the work quickly and to a deadline. In fact, they completed 2 hours before the deadline. Wow!!!!

The team at WMF helped me in a bad situation and that was much more bearable. I knew something was wrong when I noticed a musty/moldy smell in my bathroom. They provided me a detailed estimate of what would be involved to find the issue and remove the damaged material. I hired them immediately by seeing their price. They started their work and at the end, they cleaned all the mess. 5star!

I checked Yelp last night and saw all these positive reviews and Sunday availability so I went with this company. They are really very fantastic and awesome. Their team are very honestto their work. Thanks WMF and team. I highly recommend them for everyone.

This time I worked with WMF's team. They used a phased approach for the demo and only removed what was needed to properly dry the wet drywall behind the cabinets and the kitchen floor. I really surprised with their work. Thanks WMF and team.

A pipe to our water heater in the garage rusted away and water leaked underneath the closet where the water heater was stored. We called WMF and they drove to our house within 40 mins. They took a quotation and gave us an estimate of work. They finished their work in time. That is why they take five stars from me. Thanks WMF and team in future you guys will be my first choice.

I lived with a very messy girlfriend and thehome looked like it was a huge camouflage design with black spots from spilled drinks and really deep dirt marks from shoes. I called WMF. They came in time and helpe me out. Thanks WMF

The Next thing I know I'm sitting across the street as the fire dept. shoots gallons of water into my house. Many restoration companies came up to me and honestly i had no idea what to do or whom to go with. These guys were the only one who advise me do my research before I made my pick. My experience with them was great... they helped us restore the damage caused by a minor flooding on my property, it was tricky, but they managed. I recommend their services completely.

We had a leak in our house while we were out of town, and as you can imagine the damage was pretty good. I called Water Mold Fire Restoration of Minneapolis after a close friend spoke highly of them, they did a super job with minimal fuss and the cost didn't kill me either, fantastic..!!

The lowest price we found, but the best service we've hired so far! We had an inspection which lead to a relatively simple mold. We called this mold removal service, and it was really really good!!

Mold is terrible for people with respiratory problems, so Water Mold Fire Restoration of Minneapolis recommend frequent inspection, even if there are no clear signs. I had a regular inspection made with these guys and they found a growing mold formation above my bedroom. Thanks for being so attentive and providing the best Mold remediation.!!
