Fernando and the team are the best of the best. Not only the workmanship and quality are great, but they are also honest, professional and knowledgeable people. We had a problem with our sewer lateral during a routine inspection that is required by the town when the house is being sold. Fernando helped to diagnose the issue and bring in a plumber (Ricky) and others to craft a careful plan that would minimize the potential for redoing major parts of the front lawn area. His team worked through the weekend to help meet deadlines. They collaborated with the town inspector to make sure the job was done well before proceeding to retest the sewer lateral with the camera and closing up the site. It was a complex job and the team did it meticulously and thoughtfully. Fernando kept me calm and eased my worries during the project. I trust this group fully. We received a pass on the city discharge certification for sewer lateral as a result of vista’s great work. And the final result was as if nothing happened in the front yard area. Could not praise the crew any higher. Thank you so much for your care and attention to details and to your clients.

We hired Vista to put in a new large walk-in tub to replace an existing standard size tub . This was a difficult job requiring demo, plumbing, electrical, and tiling. Fernando responded promptly with a quote and his team worked quickly and skillfully to produce a great end product! I was so happy with the result that I hired them to also replace some old cedar siding on an exterior wall. I would definitely hire Fernando for any future construction or remodeling projects.

We had a great experience with Vista. We had a basement that regularly flooded. The team installed a trench system and made the living space in the basement as good as new. They also had to replace our ground-level deck. It had to be ripped up for waterproofing from the exterior. It was a huge project that ended on time and on budget. Best of all the basement has stayed dry, even after a rainstorm that delivered 5 inches.

I highly recommend Vista! We did a full kitchen renovation and are thrilled with the results. Fernando was so responsive and helpful every step of the way, and he and his whole crew were great to work with. The quality and value were both great, and the whole project, from demo to the finishing touches, was completed ahead of expectations. We would definitely work with them again.

We had a great experience with Vista! We did a huge remodel in 2023-- a kitchen gut reno, knocked down the wall to the dining room, knocked down the screened-in porch and rebuilt as an all-seasons room which is now open to the kitchen. We are so happy with the results, it has completely changed the feel of our entire house. Fernando is lovely to work with-- always picks up the phone or calls you back within minutes. VERY hard to find that in a contractor! He's also come back for minor fixes towards the tail end of the job, making sure everything is perfect. His sub contractors are great, particularly the builders, the plumber and the cabinet guys. We will definitely be using Vista for future renovations and would highly recommend!!

We used Fernando and his team previously for our bathroom remodeling. Based on our previous experience, we used Fernando and his team again for a flood mitigation project for our basement. Fernando’s problem solving was top-notch. He came up with a solution to fix the flooding we had been having in our basement for years. His solution helped solve our flooding problem and his team were very professional! I would highly recommend!

Fernando is so kind, responsive, flexible, and goes out of his way to make his customers happy. I had a very old, crumbling bathroom that was getting moldy. I came to Fernando with some very specific drawings of how I wanted to remodel it, knocking down a wall that would bring a new window into the room, adding an arch over the shower, and building a new closet in the adjoining bedroom. The house is from 1900, so I wanted everything to match that antique style. They worked with my limited budget and stuck to the plan with integrity. Despite some long setbacks with tile supply, me having to travel for work, and other surprise issues during construction, they were able to roll with the punches and build the exact bathroom and closet I had dreamed up! I’m really grateful and hope to hire them again in the future.

UPDATE: Repeat customer here! Had Fernando remodel our kitchen and we couldn’t be happier with the end result—it took about 4 to 5 weeks to complete, given it was a full gut and we wanted custom wood cabinetry. Highly recommend working with Vista Construction!

OG Review: Fernando was a consummate professional and a pleasure to work with—we hired him to do a new primary bathroom (converting from a powder bath), and he and his team worked diligently to meet our timeline. We are incredibly pleased with the ultimate results, and given our positive experience, we actually ended up hiring him to do a couple more jobs we had on our plate (addressing outdoor drainage issues and fixing our driveway). Fernando and his crew did an incredible job and I owe it to homeowners in Westchester to write this review. Top quality, reasonable price, incredibly fast, and on top of all that nice and easy to work with.

For more detail I should write some background. When we moved to Croton in 2019, we had plans for updating and customizing our home. We tried really hard to find good contractors, having had bad experiences in the past. Unfortunately we kept having one bad experience after another. Bad quality, unfinished work, open permits, huge delays, big increases in cost from the estimates, and in general headaches for us to deal with.

Fernando came in and fixed all our problems. Other contractors took 3 months to grade, install a basic stone wall, and dig a hole for a rain garden. Then they quoted us $45k to finish the work. When we said that was too high they left us with a mess. Fernando took 6 days to do that same work for half the cost. Then on top of that he fixed a huge mistake the other crew made on the rain garden and installed a good system that makes us much more confident our home is protected from big storms. The whole time he was much more transparent about materials and cost and timing than anyone else we dealt with.

We're hoping that he's available for all our future projects and so happy that we finally found such a great contractor. Don't hesitate to choose Vista Construction, and you're welcome to visit our place anytime if you want to see how nice his walls look. One of them is even half his work and half the other crew for a perfect comparison.

Fernando at Vista Construction handled our project professionally, responsively, and always looked out for our best interest in terms of quality and workmanship. His team’s flexibility made the experience a pleasure. We agreed to a Cost + profit project, it allowed for the cost to be more transparent for each segment of the project. Our project consisted of a 2nd story renovation in Valhalla. The space was completely gutted and turned into new bedrooms, bathrooms, and custom closets. The space is spectacular, very pleased with the overall outcome!

As a first time home buyer, my wife and I needed a team that could guide us through a basement renovation, that required help with finding materials, flooring installation and replacing doors. Vista did a fantastic job, always very responsive and we plan to continue to use their services on many future projects. Highly recommend.

Vista not only met but exceeded my expectations. The owner, Fernando, is not only exceptionally nice, but very hardworking and honest; he always worked with me and my wife fairly to get what we wanted and didn't beat around the bush. Our project was definitely not an easy one, we were renovating our existing laundry room into a new updated laundry and full bath. The space was not in great shape and unforeseen work, so there were setbacks, but Vista made it work and still completed the job in respectable amount of time and money. The proof is in the pictures. I would gladly use Vista Construction and work with Fernando again in the future!

Fernando and his team met or exceeded all of our expectations, especially with communications and follow through. He even made some recommendations for our design ideas. Through the entire process, Fernando was helpful, open, and fully transparent.

Hiring a GC is worth it, and when you get one as honest and talented as Fernando, it can actually save you time and money. Our Kitchen, bedrooms and family room are unique and beautiful, and the pocket doors for the library are solid and timelessly classic.

When we first started I felt overwhelmed by the sheer amount of work that needed to be done to renovate a 30 year old dentist office with 7 rooms to a modern beautiful spa like Acupuncture office. Everything needed to be gutted and replaced. We had to demo everything to its bones, tear up carpets and tiles, remove large pieces of walls in each room and then rebuild walls, doors, replace flooring, lights and everything to modernize and give it that spa like feeling.

I was stressed....Until I talked with Fernando and we discussed the project and plans going forward. There are some people that instantly make you feel calm, relaxed and like everything is going to be okay. Fernando is one of those people. He is a true gift.

The calm I felt was continually delivered over the time of the renovation as his team quickly went to work and my office moved along exactly along the time table he projected. I never saw people work so hard, fast, and efficiently. I trusted Fernando and his team 100%. I’m so happy with my renovations (full kitchen gut and remodel 2018, master suite remodel 2019). The quality is excellent, the design still makes me happy every day.
