John of Virginia Pride Contracting, fixed some small leaks that had caused me a lot of concern over the years. Despite a brand new historic roof by a major Richmond roofing company some years ago, the leaks appeared not too long after the new roof and THEIR repairs led to eventual reoccurance. It has been hard to find a new, competent roofer since.
John instilled in me my full confidence in him and his work. It means so much to me to have a great roofer in my corner. He even did more than what he contracted me for at a great price (I was not looking for a "cheap" roofer, I wanted a "great" roofer).
He had such an amazing ethic and wonderful care. Those roof issues caused me SO MUCH anxiety and he gave me relief. I also want to say how much I appreciate him and how much he did for me.
AND.....he assessed and scheduled quickly. No other roofer has ever done that!

Owner came over and gave me a free estimate on my roof. He was here for my neighbors house not mine. He then noticed some loose singles and said when finished next door he would come over tack them back down for charge. He was a gentleman and a man of his word . I highly recommend him. Mr JD, came to my home on a Sunday. Arrived early was very professional and pleasant to speak with. He went right to work and did an excellent job cleaning my gutters and removed branch from my roof. Best of all he went beyond blew away debris and patched small spots on my roof and even fixed my back door at no extra charge. I had extensive damage to my roof to the point squirrels were trying to make it their new home. Surprisingly, Jonathan came in on a Saturday morning after I notified him of my urgent issue less than 24 hours after we initially spoke. He was able to quickly fix my roof and it looks just as good when it was installed. There was no debris or any signs a contractor just completed such an extensive job. I appreciate him completing this in a timely manner and definitely recommend his services for all your home repair/contracting needs both inside and outside of your home. He also gave me a very reasonable quote to install a storm door on my side porch. I look forward to working with him in the future.

After getting numerous and over priced quotes for my roof I took a chance on calling a roofing number I saw on the side of the road and I am so grateful I did. His quote was my exact price range, which he gave to me in less than 48hrs and even gave me a complementary service of re attaching my damaged gutter. The very next week and day of my roof replacement they were on time and I slept through most of the installment. HOW IMPRESSIVE! The work done on my gutters by Virginia Pride Contracting LLC on July 6 , 2024 was done on a timely and efficient basis. Older gutters were removed and prepped appropriately with new 5 inch case style gutters including the solidification of the gutter guards. Total gutter installation was completed with adequate clean up and removal of debris. In addition old gutters were taken to the dump as requested. The gentleman who did the work was always friendly and was easy to communicate with. He is a reliable, and professional worker. I was pleased and delighted with the work and fully recommend this company. I am very satisfied and appreciated the 3 year warranty. Thank you for your effort and dedication to this project.

Let me share with you why this company is so great. I had the piece in the photo fly off the corner of the roof leaving an opening where birds and who knows what else started living. This company fixed it in no time and reinforced all the others for a fraction of what others charge. They are always looking ahead to prevent new issues so they checked out the health of my roof. This was not my first experience with this company. They’re always prompt, efficient, professional, and reasonable. Once you try them you’ll agree.

John is amazing! Very professional and thorough. And VERY respectful of time (he showed up at our agreed upon time, every time), finishing the job within the timeframe he estimated! John is affordable and fair, polite and kind, even doing some small additional work that was not in the original scope (and he didn't even charge us)!
