This business put gutters and gutter guards on my house. They were professional, and timely. The crew Freddie, Jose, Isaac and Jeremiah were hard working. They made sure to answer all my questions, and got all the details perfect. They even added caulking around my chimney when I asked. I would absolutely recommend them. Freddie and Jose were rock stars!

I reached out to several roofing companies for estimates regarding our roof. Not only was I squeezed in immediately, but Gary offered several options with clear detail and understanding of the exact task he had listed for our estimate. They were able to work us in quickly and sent out a great crew to get the job done!

Such a great company. Detailed oriented from the start and completion was fast. The cleanup looked great as well as the finished job.

Vanguard Roofing was the absolute best choice for my new roof! Gary gave me three choices/quotes--all very reasonable. With my great choice, there was room in my budget for the extra option of new gutters, too--something I wasn't even considering.
So get this: I left early Monday morning for work, and when I got back, I had a beautiful new roof! (Never saw the fearless crew who did the work.) I was blown away! And the Estate Gray shingles Gary helped me choose look great!
So now, on this rainy day, I'm relaxing in my home with comfort & peace of mind thanks to Vanguard Roofing.
Also, they use the best (in my opinion) Owings Corning materials and give you a 50-yr warranty.
And you should know, Gary is a good, honest person who focuses on the happiness of his customers over profit--a very admirable quality! (No: we're not related.)

My experience has been good: the quote was reasonable, Vanguard was flexible on extending the quote, and workmanship and materials were as expected. The work has just been completed, but I don't anticipate any trouble having problems resolved fairly should something comes up.

Vanguard did some work for our leaky roof at our church. They were prompt, professional, and eager to answer questions and give clarity on the extent of the issue we were having. They set clear expectations and gave us a thorough and direct quote that allowed us to make an informed and responsible decision financially for our church congregation.

The team was able to come earlier than expected and did a great job repairing my chimney flashing and roof cap. They identified a repair that was in the estimate but that did not actually need to be made, reducing the cost. I appreciated their honesty and quality work.

Gary came to my father in-laws house to check a leak. He identified the problem, did not try to sell us a new roof, and showed us what we needed to do if we wanted to do it ourselves. He departed with no charge. We asked him what it would cost if we had them do it and he gave us a price well below what we expected and we decided to have them make the repairs. His customer service and desire to help was so refreshing in a world that has seemed to lost to idea of good customer service. Gary was the best!!

We contacted Vanguard/Gary after hours yesterday and were very pleased that he could send someone this morning to fix a leak in our roof before the big rain storm coming in later today. Freddy arrived on time and did a great job, we would recommend their work and use them again.

In late 2021 we got quotes to replace our tired 25yr old roof from Vanguard and several other roofing companies. At that time Vanguard was our favorite so we contacted them in January 2023 when we were ready to proceed with the work. They were excellent to work with as we finalized the work details and the price. The work crew did a great job on our somewhat complicated roof, answered all our questions, cleaned up each night before they left, and gladly fixed the couple of nits we picked at the final walkaround. We are really glad we hired Vanguard for the job, and are confident that our roof is now good for over 20yrs. We will strongly recommend them to anyone who asks "Do you know a good roofing company."

UPDATE: My original review is below. This is a follow up review. Vanguard Roofing stands behind its warranty. I had a problem with excessive outside air coming in thru the roof caps over the exhaust fans. They sent a team out and replaced the 4 caps without any hassle. I really appreciate a business that stands behind its work. Their repair team of Freddie and Jose were excellent. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was very pleased with the whole process. I had 3 estimates and Vanguard was in the middle. Following the initial inspection and estimate by Mike, I had a lot of questions. Mike excelled in responding in a detailed manner and instilled confidence in me regarding the job Vanguard would do and the materials they would use. Vanguard earned my business and I felt confident I had made the right decision. On install day, Mike showed up with the crew at 7:30 as promised. ,Alec and Marco were the crew leaders. I have a manufactured home (double wide) which presented some unique construction features, including the roof. They were flexible and made some adjustments in their install plan to ensure the job was done to my satisfaction and would exceed standards. Marco and Alec kept me apprised as the job progressed and consulted me from time to time on a few issues unique to my house. I'm very glad I chose Vanguard and Mike and very glad I had the crew led by Alec and Marco.

We had a roof and gutters installed. Mike Owings was thorough with the contract and schedule and made sure we were happy with the job. The roofing crew was very professional. Isaiah and Joey did a great job installing the gutters and also changed light bulbs in our security lights while they were on the roof. After the roof we decided to replace our windows. Cary, Isaiah and Joey were a pleasure to work with for the windows. Cary is very experienced with installing windows and did a great job. If you want to trust the people working on your house I would recommend Vanguard Roofing.

Amy was extremely professional and responsive throughout the process, working not only with me but also with agents from my insurance company. I am honoured to share my wonderful experience of Vanguard Roofing.

From the very first conversation they were attentive, thorough and extremely professional. Above all, they were friendly and supremely accommodating.

We had conversations with other companies but Vanguard Roofing, and in particular, Mike Owings, very patiently answered our many questions. The company was very willing to discuss options for repairing our dormer windows, as well as replacing the roof.

We were given a very detailed and comprehensive quote supported by aerial photographs taken by a drone. All of the options were very reasonable and competitive.

Mike Owings came to our house specifically so my boys and I could pick the colour of our new roof; we

unanimously chose ‘Harbour Blue’ - and it was perfect!

The team that came to change the roof were amazing; they were efficient, hard working, thorough, adaptable (the original plan was to replace rotten board on the dormers; they ended up replacing the ENTIRE window structures …) and they still honoured their quote. THAT was unbelievable in itself; but - their entire team (maybe 12 men?) … ALL of them were polite, kind, friendly and very forgiving of the crazy English girl that interrupted their work to take pictures of her beloved little house undergoing the most amazing make over!!

Gary from Vanguard showed up on time, had samples and answered all of our questions and concerns. His crews tarped all around the house to catch debris and nails. They were punctual, courteous, and had the entire 6000 sq. ft. of roof removed by the end of day one. By the end of day two the entire roof was replaced with high quality Owens Corning shingles and products. The quality without compromise makes it worth every dollar we spent. Every piece of debris and every nail picked up. Professional, knowledgeable, transferable life time warranty, and highest quality.

New shingles and gutters! The repairs look wonderful and all debris was cleaned up and hauled away, including an old satelite dish I had them remove from the roof! The workmen were very polite and worked very quickly.

We recently had Vanguard Roofing repair and replace 40+ year old roof and gutters, complete with leaf guards on gutters. It was a top notch job and both Gary who did the estimate and Gary who installed the gutters were very easy to work with and professional. Their team completed the entire roof in a day, and the cleanup was well done. The roof and gutters look great! Their estimate came in much less than most of the others, and was much more thorough. Also, they were able to schedule the work faster than most of the others were able to do since they have several teams.

Great service and price. I was out of town when we scheduled the roof replacement. Other than a new roof, there was zero trace that an old roof was removed. The post-installation clean up was fantastic and new roof looks great.

The crew was very professional. They clearly had substantial experience installing a standing seam metal roof. They worked from 7:30 each morning until 5 or later to ensure they reached an appropriate stopping point. They were courteous and careful. They removed a cedar shake roof with great care to avoid damage to landscaping and they removed waste every day.

We have received countless compliments about our new roof (and skylights). We would use them again — no question and without hesitation.

After getting 3 additional estimates we choose Vanguard. The install had a small issue that another company would have looked over but Gary's team went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of and today the roof looks great. See response from Vanguard below - no plumber, no car mechanic, no contractor, no dentist, no electrician or HVAC contractor will charge you $365 fee for a 10 minute job (caulking a roof vent). It's a lousy excuse for a lousy business attitude. You charge that because you can - taking advantage of a trusting customer without a quote or an estimate.
