Customer feedback for V&K Builders is predominantly negative, with multiple reviews detailing serious issues regarding unlicensed contracting and unfulfilled commitments. Many customers report failed communication and lack of follow-through on promised services, leading to significant dissatisfaction. While a few reviews commend the quality of work and timely responses for certain projects, the overwhelming sentiment highlights concerns about trustworthiness and reliability. Instances of customers being unable to obtain service after hiring the company further exacerbate these issues.
- Amazing support and work by the whole team.
- Karol did an exceptional job overseeing the whole project.
- They drove 2 hours to her house to do the work the same week.
- V&K Builders stole $4200 from us and have failed to show up to court for over a year.
- Received a check with no funds and they no longer live at the address.
- Karol mentioned how busy they were, but Victor never came out as promised.

V&K Builders stole $4200 from us and have failed to show up to court for over a year or respond to our correspondence. We won a judgement in the Prince William County General District Court (case #GV23004323-05). Through our research in preparing for this court case, the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation also found that they are an unlicensed contractor and sent them a cease-and-desist letter due to unlicensed contracting. Additionally, they have several other pending judgements against them over the years.
They are currently trying to deny all of this by saying it's a "different" V&K builders in the Woodbridge area; if you can find a different Victor & Karol doing unlicensed construction in Woodbridge, I'll be impressed.
In our situation, V&K Builders failed to show up to our property for work multiple days in a row. After failing to meet the terms of the contract, Karol stopped responding to us and stole our money. We never had any work completed nor were any materials given to us. We filed in court, won the judgement, and have a court date on February 3rd 2025 for them to pay.
We want to warn others about doing business with these people so that another family is not scammed out of money or worse...harmed by dangerous and unlicensed construction.

Please be mindful of Victor and Karol! I own a small business contractor that worked for them a few years ago. We received a check with no funds (Visited the check address, and Karols “apparent father” opened the door and said they no longer live there.) We tried working things in a friendly matter but his wife kept saying lies specifically the last excuse was that he was at a detention center, then all his tools were stolen from his van and couldn't afford to pay anything.

Amazing support and work by the whole team Rolando assessment and knowledge ensured the all the wood was replaced and painted, his expectation is perfection and does whatever it takes to get the job done right. Karol did an exceptional job overseeing the whole project. She was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them and will be calling them for future work. I have already context them about work on another project m, on one day notice Karol was able to get someone out in a very tight time slot. A great team.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
