We are very pleased with Up Country Home Inspections. We scheduled the home inspection online for the day that worked best for us since we wanted to be on site during the inspection. We received email confirmation of the appointment as well as the payment. The day of the inspection, Richard was on time, very professional, prepared and organized. He did a very detailed inspection and even took the time at the end of the day to talk with us about the major findings. We received the inspection report the very same evening, which surprised us. We would definitely recommend using Up Country Home Inspections.

Richard is awesome! We recently hired him to complete the home/radon/terminte inspections on our new house in Greer. He was extremely thorough and took the time at the end to explain EVERYTHING to us. He was very detailed, patient with all of our questions and gave great advice. The final reports include photos which make the process even easier to take back to the seller. My realtor was also very impressed with his level or detail and attentiveness. My wife and I, along with our realtor highly recommend Richard! I always try and support our Veterans regardless, but the level or service we received was top notch from start to finish. He was very thorough with his inspection of my new home, he even added little details (blue tape walkthrough findings) Thankfully he didn’t find any extreme damage/problems but the things he did find should be easy fixes! I love how thorough Richard was he inspected what feels like every inch of the home. Richard went above and beyond and pointed out also cosmetic damages that could be fixed before move in. If you think you may not need an inspection you sure do I would have never known about the radon levels in home being high if it wasn’t for his test, which was perfect because due to this builder is installing a fan to the radon exhaust. I didn’t even know that was a thing so please get an inspection when buying a home and choose UP COUNTRY HOME INSPECTIONS. So glad I hired this company and most specifically Richard to do an inspection on my new Lennar townhome. He found a multitude of things for the builder to correct before closing. Things which would cause many problems later on. Broken things, some shoddy workmanship, things not working, fire ants...missing things. Probably from rushed work and oversight. A new home should be perfect. I am paying the builder to do a good job so I feel like I am getting value for my money. One thing for certain UP Country Home Inspections is worth every penny!

Yet another 5 star review. Wife and I were very nervous about going with a new build home. And to be honest alot of builders are just hot garbage these days. Richard was able to put any fears we had to rest but still provides an incredibly detailed and thorough new build inspection.

We even found a few things on the roof that we'll ask to have repaired as well (brand new roof).

Left no stone unturned in his report, and best of all he was friendly and easy to deal with throughout the process.

I'll be using his 11 month inspection before the warranty period expires to make the most of my warranty as well.

Highly recommended and will be used each and every time I need an inspection in the upstate, and will recommend to anyone needing one.

Richard Brown did the inspection of our new home in Woodruff, SC on May 13, 2024. From his detailed report and a telcon I had with him he found only one major issue related to the Radon Passive Gas removal system. He recommended installation of a fan to to increase removal of excess gas. Good Call!
