True Green Roofing - and, specifically Audrey did amazing work. We replaced an aging, leaking comp roof with steel. Pricing and workmanship were outstanding. We were advised to replace skylights by another contractor ($6k+). As it turns out, the existing glass and frame can be separated, and, there is no indication of leaking at this boundary. So, Audrey's team was able to properly seal the frame to the roof deck, and leave us the option to replace the glass at a later time, if desired (not necessary). This advise and problem solving speaks to her and her team's integrity. 10/10, would hire Audrey, True Green and Sierra again!

It has been three years since we had our Tilcor roof installed on our barn and it looks as great as new! So amazing that the old roof did not have to be removed! Having a metal roof gives us peace of mind for fire danger, too. When it is time to replace our house roof we will have the same product installed. True Green provided the Tilcor metal roof for our residence which was installed in Feb 2022. We've noticed it is quieter and cooler (in the summer). Very happy with the results. ABC Roofing was the installer, who were very professional and their craftsmanship was amazing.

Very much appreciated working with Audrey at True Green Roofing Solutions. She had a strong understanding of the materials, the industry and worked well with our HOA requirements. Most important to us in 2023, after a very heavy snowfall season, during which many nearby roofs were damaged and needed to be replaced, was her successful efforts to ensure we had a new metal roof prior to the next winter season.

Our roof was installed 5 years ago. We had a problem this year not related to the materials provided or the installation. I was having trouble getting the installers to fix the problem, but Audrey was extremely helpful and went the "extra mile" to get the problem taken care of though it was not really her problem in the first place.

This was a wise choice as so far it has proven to be able to withstand the intense winds, snow and temperature extremes in our area.

I hired True Green Roofing Solutions to replace my original 30-year old cedar shake roof with an upscale metal roofing system for my home in Reno. Having spent several years exhaustingly researching different roofing types, options, costs, pros/cons, etc., I was ultimately referred to Audrey by one of the manufacturers I had selected for my particular roofing system. After an initial conversation, I quickly realized Audrey had extensive knowledge and experience working with the roofing system and product I had selected. She was always more than happy and patient spending time answering all of my many questions and sharing her professional experience and recommendations to help me get comfortable selecting the best possible roof for my home. She even took time to take photos of my existing roof she then used to create tailored photos of my home with the exact roof style and color I had selected to help ensure I chose the exact style and color that best complemented my home.

We had purchased a house in Lake Tahoe that had a 40 year old shake wood roof that needed to be replaced as it was at the end of its life and insurance companies weren't too excited to insure as it was. We contacted over seven roofers to understand our different options. The solution Audrey and True Green Roofing offered seemed to deliver the most value as it was toward the low-end of most other bids for composite shingles, but provided much longer transferable warranty given it is metal. Audrey was a pleasure to work with and delivered to meet each commitment she made. Roofing in Tahoe is always a weather dependent operation, but her and Sierra Coast Roofing worked hard to make it a success.

Galena Forest HOA has some difficult requirements but Audrey Smith of True Green Roofing with her Tilcor product came through with a good solution. The True Green installer Sierra Coat Roofing were excellent, communicated well and were as concientous as any home installer could be. True Green Roofing Solutions installed a new metal roof on my house in early January 2020. Audrey was awesome to deal with, she was always available to answer any questions or address any concerns I had. The process of choosing the materials and colors was simple and direct. The installers Pacific Coast were equally great. They were conscientious about possible weather issues and made sure everything was ready for any snow or rain during the install. They cleaned up each day and made several passes around my house after they were done to make sure no debris was left behind. I have had no issues since the install.

Building in Tahoe is a tough proposition, and she was able to work with us through our project delays due to weather or the permit process. Our design called for 16” Black standing seam panels on the roof as well as over 80 percent of the walls which meant close attention to details.

While I wanted a metal roof for its longevity, efficiency, ease of maintenance, and ability to capture clean rainwater, I doubted that steel was within my budget. However, after getting several estimates for asphalt shingles, the bid Audrey gave me for stone-coated steel (with a LIFETIME warranty) was barely more than those I received for basic asphalt shingles with just 15 to 30-year warranties. No brainer! The roof looks great, my house is noticeably more efficient, and I can collect rainwater without worrying about the carcinogens associated with asphalt shingles. I’m certain the reduced heating, cooling, and maintenance costs (not to mention prevention of potential health costs associated with the asphalt tea that ran off my old roof) will offset the only marginally higher price of steel. I highly recommend True Green Roofing Solutions.

In the spring of 2009 my husband and I drove from the South Shore of Lake Tahoe to Truckee for a home and garden show – we knew we were going to need to replace the old shake roof on our log cabin. It can be difficult at times to find good, reliable businesses in Lake Tahoe – a business willing to take a job, show up and provide quality work for a competitive price.

There were many vendors at the home and garden show and displays everywhere. We had been doing some research and felt that a steel shake roofing system would work best for us. We had found True Green Roofing Solutions on line and had been emailing Audrey Smith prior to home show.

When we found Audrey by her display and introduced ourselves we felt a connection right away. Audrey was very knowledgeable. She had a portfolio of all the jobs her company has done – and we were pleased that there were pictures of the roof we were interested in. She even had sample pieces of the roofing for us to see. We were impressed and scheduled to have her come by the cabin so she could provide us with an estimate.

From that moment on everything moved along like clockwork.
