TRP CONSTRUCTION LLC

TRP did a complete kitchen renovation for us and the challenges they faced were substantial. We have an older house with uneven ceilings, our floors needed to be redone, our island was a solid 10 feet long, and our family decided to stay in the house during construction. If that wasn't enough, we were also needing to install bookcases in the adjoining living room, fix a leaky shower on the second floor that had put a giant stain in the living room ceiling, and then add shoe molding to the entire first floor, on account of some poor planning from a prior general contractor.

We agreed on a start and end date, and Tom and his team (and he has a wonderful, experienced team) delivered on the completion before the end date. All told, our kitchen reno and related work in the dining room took 11 weeks. Tom was at our worksite nearly everyday, even on the weekends, checking in on details big and small, and he always put "the right people, in the right place, at the right time," as he is fond of saying.

This was an education for us in what a full service contractor business looks like when it has a mature operations structure, with stellar office staff and stellar craftsmen. In addition, we just really liked Tom's demeanor, communication style, and evident care for our house and family.

Our project was a big investment, and we could not be happier that we put our trust in Tom.

We engaged with Tom and his team at TRP Construction for a whole house remodel including structurally changing the footprint of our kitchen. We instantly liked Tom from our first meeting, and we just knew that our home would be in good hands. Our project took approximately 10 months to complete and Tom was there for every step of the way. Of course with a job of this size, unexpected issues are to be expected, but Tom handled everything with ease and grace. He made everything possible to make sure that our vision came to fruition.

I cannot give enough accolades to Tom and TRP Construction. His team embodies everything you could ever dream about in a general contractor: professional, prompt, honest, trustworthy, responsive, and present on the job site. I would and have recommended him to friends and family.

TRP Construction exceeded all our expectations and created the home my wife had dreamed of out of our neglected, twenty-five year old raised ranch. Selecting the right General Contractor is crucial when planning a renovation. In our searches we found ourselves returning to TRP Construction time and again. Tom Prete’s customer reviews really convinced us to select TRP Construction. The reviews, and, of course, the images of his work. Tom and his Designer, Chris, worked with my wife as she meticulously explained what she wanted in the whole-house renovation. My wife, Barbara’s vision of her home was realized as TRP Construction transformed our sad little raised ranch into everything she wanted and specified. The job entailed a new roof, new siding, new windows and doors, new deck, opening up the living space through removal of walls, a new kitchen, a custom bath specially crafted to accommodate Barbara’s disabilities, a new bath downstairs, new flooring throughout, fresh paint, new doors and lighting fixtures, new appliances, mounting new TV’s, installation of two Ring cameras and motion detecting flood lights, and installation of a large, new, wood-burning stove. The result was breathtaking and brought tears to Barbara’s eyes the first time she got to see everything. As we look back on our renovation “journey” each of us totally agree that the renovation is way more then just lumber, and tiles, and tools. This renovation was so successful because of the people we were fortunate to have involved in it. Tom and Chris were both superb and were always just an email or a phone call away to answer our questions and reassure us of things throughout the whole process. While we weren’t Tom’s only customers, WE FELT LIKE WE WERE. We want to emphasize one very important and extraordinary fact about this renovation. That is that EVERY person on Tom’s construction team, and every sub-contractor, and every vendor Tom referred us to, were ALL unbelievably fantastic! We really mean that. After signing the contract for the job Tom supplied us with a list of “Preferred Vendors” to work with. Every one of them from plumbing suppliers, to lighting fixture suppliers, to tile experts, to cabinet suppliers, to flooring suppliers, to appliance dealers, to stone crafters, to window, door, and siding suppliers, to fixture suppliers, right down to the Wood Stove dealer…..every single one was fantastic to work with. These folks would all be welcome guests in our home any time. Now here is the really weird part…..We’re beginning to miss them all.

An Amazing Professional & Trustworthy Contractor. TRP Construction and Tom Prete did two major renovation projects for us - a kitchen and bath at my mom's and three bathrooms for me. The quality of the work in the kitchen and the 4 bathrooms is beyond superb, and to exacting professional standards. The end results in every single room are simply amazing. That alone is reason to hire TRP Construction. But the real reason is that Tom made renovating our home fun. Our three-bathroom project took approximately three months. Every single workday (Mon-Fri), Tom let us know who was coming to the door – and every single time someone showed up. The specific trades were uniformly timely, polite and expert craftsmen. You get to know someone pretty well through two major renovations – one of which was on-going where you live. Tom Prete and his team are what all contractors should be – professional, timely, honest, creative (in the best possible way) – while delivering a superb level of workmanship. I cannot recommend TRP Construction enough.

We can’t say enough good things about TRP Construction! Tom, Christina, Bob, Ben, and the rest of the crew really went above and beyond for our first floor remodel (bathroom, laundry/pantry room, custom seating/storage bench in kitchen, living room with gas fireplace, custom mantel and bookshelves). We are so pleased with the end result and look forward to employing them in the future for more projects. Each team member was prompt and very communicative. They were all respectful of our wishes and were quick to address any questions that we had. Christina and Tom really made it easy to plan with their list of vendors, and the custom work crafted by Bob is just stunning. We really appreciate their attention to detail. We get so many compliments on everything, but especially on our custom bookshelves and beautiful mantel! We highly recommend this team for any home project!

We recently completed a full renovation and remodel of our farmhouse, and we couldn't be happier working with TRP Construction. We met with a number of contractors and Tom stood out immediately. He was easy to work with, professional, knowledgable and offered design services with construction. Tom coordinated the entire process from design through constuction, and communicated frequently with us. His subcontractors were equally professional and performed quality work. We couldn't have done this without Tom and his team, and will be contacting them for any further work we might need.

We used TRP Construction to renovate the basement of my parents' raised ranch. We now live as a multigenerational blended family thanks to this remodel. From our first interaction, they worked on a timely basis, listened to our vision of what we wanted, provided input about different possibilities for improvements, and were amazing communicators. Tom began this project (complete kitchen gut and remodel as well as rebuilding our garage) right before the pandemic hit, and he and his crew were still able to give us a functioning kitchen before everything locked down. They then worked together with us to safely finish all of the intricate details and followed Covid guidelines to the letter. You can be 100% confident that these amazing men will take care of your property like it is their own, and you can trust that any and all sub contractors will do the same. I would highly recommend TRP Construction. We had our master bathroom remodeled by TRP. Tom (the owner) and his crew are very professional. They are very neat, respectful, and did the work in a timely manner. Tom was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. He is very honest and hardworking. We are very happy with the quality of the work done. We will definitely be calling him for any future projects.

There is probably not enough I can say about how great Tom and his team are. I 100% recommend him and his crew. We picked tom out of the many contractors we interviewed, he was honest and straight forward. We needed our floor straighten out in our kitchen which was sloped and sank more when we had granite installed. clearly our subfloor was failing, there was a total 2.25 inch slope. Horrible situation and we were so nervous about the unknowns since we had no idea what we were getting into, so we needed to be confident in who selected. we needed the floor leveled which required the island to be removed. Tom and his team did not disappoint. they fixed our foundation, made a quality subfloor and rebuilt our island exactly as it was, actually better then it was. The finishing work and touchups are flawless. they delivered on everything they said they would. they were punctual, very considerate and respectful of our home, everyone on his team was very professional. Tom was on top of the project everyday, they never left until the job was done. they had a short window due to a function I had scheduled and delivered, all was done in 2.5 weeks. I mean seriously, where has this company been hiding?! My husband and I get so excited every time we go in our kitchen, it just looks so gorgeous with our new level floor. Trust me you cannot go wrong with this company, I would hire them again (and will).

My wife and I just had a laundry room renovation completed by Tom and his amazing crew. The project was challenging due to the space that we wanted and we could not be happier with how it came out. The work was completed on time, the work area was cleaned daily and the quality was exceptional. We would certainly recommend TRP to anyone.

We had our basement finished by TRP construction and it was an excellent experience. Prior to the work, Tom personally came out to our home many times to discuss the project. He helped us problem solve several specific issues we had with our basement and made sure all the specific recommendations we had were integrated into the final product. His team was here every day and the basement was completed in 6 weeks without delays. Our finished basement is beautiful and everything we had hoped thanks to the details and care taken during the project. This is the second time we have worked with Tom and TRP construction and highly recommend them. We will be hiring them again for any work we need to do on our house in the future!

I started with nothing but an idea in my head, and no idea how to go about it. I looked on the BBB website for a local contractor to get a quote for a front porch. TRP was quick to respond, and on time for the appointment. Pricing was very fair, and I decided to go ahead with the project.
Construction started on time, and I was always kept in the loop on what was happening and when. Everyone involved was very professional, clean, and friendly. The quality is better than expected, I could not be happier. I am still getting compliments from strangers passing by.
I would recommend TRP to anyone.. already have..and am currently thinking of what I can have done next year. TRP really made my dream come true.

Tom and his team were fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone. I had TRP restore a water damaged section of my kitchen. Prior to the renovation, I had 5 skylights in the room replaced. The new skylights didn’t line up with the existing trim work so it made for a very tricky project. Tom worked his magic and made them look perfect. He has a great crew who are both talented and professional. The work included tearing down the ceiling, re-dry walling, replacing trim around the windows, replacing recessed lighting and installing a new fan. What I liked most about working with Tom was that he was personally onsite every day, even when he didn’t need to be. Much of the work was completed by his team, but regardless of whether he had anything to do, he stopped by every day to check on the progress. Additionally, Tom was very thorough and meticulous in reviewing the work. He noticed a few things that needed to be touched up that I hadn’t even seen. He scheduled his guys back to fix it without me even asking. The room now looks better than when I bought the house. I would strongly suggest TRP to anyone. Tom will be my only call for any future work at my house.
