First off, I love my Phantom screens. Unfortunately, my experience with Viktor, the installer, and then Mark, the owner, has been a struggle. They have offered to fix the issue, but now I have such a sour taste in my mouth after their rude and insulting behavior. I had an issue with one of the screens catching at the top. After some push back, Viktor did come out and fix the issue. Recently, we have had multiple birds and small rodents get in at the top of the screens. As you can imagine, this is unnerving and not really what you hope for with a screened-in porch! I reached out to Viktor and got push back as he said it was my contractor’s issue which is possible, but super unhelpful. Totally frustrating for both parties, this has escalated to the point I just don’t want to deal with Trim Runners anymore. I do believe that Viktor means well, but they seemed harried, got here late and finished when it was dark for the installation. Follow up has been like pulling teeth even though there is a one year warranty. They deny that distance is a factor, but traveling from Harrisonburg for an Arlington job is not ideal. My contractor should have used Tristate screens (which has fabulous reviews) and is “my local” Phantom screen dealer. Maybe, all this would have been avoided. Please also ensure you discuss any work with your contractor and the Phantom installer to avoid the issues of who is to blame if something goes wrong and thus who fixes the problem. Nobody needs this kind of aggravation.

If you see trim runners arriving on your worksite, I would suggest you run! These people did a remodel of our home, and not only did they forget to put insulation under the new addition, they forgot to get their work inspected. It was not until I had lived in the home for 2 years that I learned the home never had a final inspection, and then upon inspection, I learned that that their work never passed the rough in. When I mentioned it to them the only response was, "I can assure you that the work was done up to or standard which is well above code" Not to mention it was $54000 for a 600 square foot home that had most demo work done and electrical. This was in 2019-2020 for reference. Never again!

These guys are the best around. They did an excellent job on tile and laminate flooring for us. We were lucky enough to have them assigned to our rental property job through Lowes in Harrisonburg. Much later we were doing a major kitchen renovation at our home through the Waynesboro Lowes. When the original crew did a poor job laying the tile, we requested to have Trim Runners come in and redo it. Peter did a fantastic job fixing their mistake and we requested that they do our backsplash tile as well. It was perfection. Pablo came in and once again corrected a bad job on the drywall by the original crew Lowes sent. He spent three days working on our backsplash. Our contractor stated that his crew would have had it done in four hours. This is the difference in Trim Runners. They have integrity and do the job right. I won't have anyone else in my house besides them again.

A few bumps with suppliers that I know were out of their control, but Mark went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of and happy with our new flooring, installation, etc. Good follow through and follow up. Prices were definitely better than a couple of others locally that we'd checked with.

Service questions

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
