Bought materials to do a deck for a handicap person, and had mongers to deliver. Upon receiving the materials I knew they sent all the crappiest they could find. If you want good stuff go there and hand pick it your self then you know you got the best. I have had better deliveries in the past.

If you need lumber and you're not buying it from Monger's, you need help. Any local lumber yard that is also rail served gets my business time and again.

I really wanted to like this place but it has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I asked for wood cut and they cut me short on material. I understand there is waste but this was more than waste. I called to get wood cut for a second time and they told me I would have to come down and hand pick the wood myself. I'm trying to save time and outsource work so it kinda defeats the purpose if I have to come down and pick the wood out myself. I feel like they just didn't want to deal with me because I'm not one of the old boys. Don't offer a service if you're unwilling to perform.

Came in several times this month tackling some DIY projects around the house. Really a pleasant experience dealing with Russell Hill. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to my answer questions and give some useful pointers.

Dennis and Brian in cabinetry were super patient and helpful. After being at the big box stores where it is increasingly hard to find anyone, let alone anyone who has any expertise, my experience at Mongers was really refreshing. And their prices are often better too. From now on Im going to Mongers first!

Needed a few deck boards and hardware for a deck rehab. Was greeted and waited on promptly. Explained what I needed and associate took me out to the yard, we got the lumber and we carried it to the mill area where he cut them to correct lengths. Was a small job, but service was quick, complete, and I got good quality lumber. Would highly recommend for your next project.

We ordered windows from Mongers. Only they ordered half of the windows in the wrong color. There was no apology and the new/correct windows took over 6 weeks to arrive. Their customer service was horrible and we would NEVER use them again! They refused to apologize and even admit their error. The owners of this business are rude, pompous and very condescending.

Very helpful staff. I think most people were placing large orders for construction jobs but everyone was helpful and accommodating when I just wanted a few boards.

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.

4. What is the typical roof leak repair cost, and how is it calculated?

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
