We came home to water in our house late on a Thursday evening and called first thing on Friday morning. We needed a skylight re-installing and the roof repairing around it, which we discovered by waking up to the unexpected appearance of an indoor swimming pool the morning after a night of rain recently.

Time was of the essence given Calgary was expecting another solid 24+ hours of rain and so I called Tony on the off-chance of getting help when other companies were only interested in taking insurance work after summer's hail storms.

He was onsite same day for assessment and quoted a very reasonable price for what was essentially an emergency call-out in all but name.

His crew arrived on time the next day and were polite and efficient in getting the repair done on time and ahead of the inbound storm.

When we contacted Tony's roof repair for a quote they came the same day with an affordable quote. The roof was replaced in a timely and efficient manner.

Tony promptly came out the following day that we discovered a small leak on a rainy day. He took photos to show what was happening on our roof. He gave a verbal quote, gave us a few options to choose from, and a better price if we fixed where the concern was, and a few potential future concerns. We felt that he was honest in what he would do if it was his own roof. He came a week sooner than expected, which we were grateful. Our concern was in the "valley" of the roof, where he tripled protected it. The shingles are lighter than our originals, but its not noticeable. I feel better knowing that my roof done by Tony's Roof Repair, now has a ten year warranty, than what I had prior with insurance of 5 years.

I honestly don't know if we got taken for a ride with artificially inflated review scores, or we caught them at a bad time.

I had a difficult time determining what to rate the service we received, and put a lot of thought into it.

Tony was very friendly and pleasant. When we requested an estimate, his business partner came the same day and gave us a verbal quote. It did take about a month with weekly reminders for us to get a written estimate - I suspect Tony is VERY busy with the end of season. We had talked about him peeking at the insulation too, but we ended up letting that go.

I'll admit we didn't do as much shopping around as usual (busy with a new family member). The quote at $6000 to replace some of our concrete tiles, shore up some corner mortar, and seal (at their recommendation) was a bit lower than the $8000 we were quoted by a competitor. However, the other roofing company was going pull all the capping and re-mortar (which they said was the 'right' way to do it, and they were quite shocked at the suggestion to seal the corner instead).

Tony and his team of 3 other roofers were able to get the work done in 4 hours (very impressive!). I was hoping that the work came in under budget since it didn't take very long, and the tubes of sealant are $10 (Tony bought $2400 of the stuff to the job :o - I don't think he used them all up, so probably for another job too!), but it did end up costing the whole 6k. The worksite was 95% cleaned up (we did end up finding a few errant empty tubes of sealant in the grass).

I think it's really important to know Tony's approach. He's seems like a practical guy. He's very much like your uncle who gives you practical advice on how to provide repairs, even if they're not how an artisan would do it. Whether this is right approach for you is up to you.

I'm a bit worried that other roofers strongly recommended against taking the sealing approach. With our limited knowledge, we can't tell if that's the other roofers looking to upsell, or if there's actually a good reason why this isn't standard practice. That said, Tony backs up his work with a guarantee about the lifetime of the sealing and concrete - so time will tell.

The sealant itself is kind of an eyesore. He mentioned it would get clear and almost invisible when it dried but six months out it still looks very shiny and glooped on.

Tony's team repaired our leaking skylights and chimney. Tony responded quickly to all our phone calls, came within a day to give an estimate, provided detailed information about our leaks and the repair services required, and was patient with our questions. The price was fair and his work comes with a ten-year warranty. His team did excellent work. Highly recommend.

We have had problems with a leaky roof and Tony did his estimate on a Monday. On Wednesday the job was started and finished later that day. Tony was very responsive and communicative. Tony recently replaces a 4000 sq ft roof on one of our 4-plex's in Southwood. He removed and disposed of all previous tar and gravel material, replaced several rotten sheets of plywood, laid down and melted the seams of 3 layers of rubber roofing material, sealed all roof vents, installed metal drip guard around the eves and metal guard around the other roof edges. His team started on Wednesday and completed in Friday the same week, very impressive indeed. I am very happy with his work, he went over and above most other roofers, he had good communication and was quite efficient. I would highly recommend Tony for any roof concerns.

I called Tony when I was away in Vancouver on a work trip. We had water leaking from the roof of our apartment in multiple units and he came down with his crew to triage and clean the snow off the roof that same day in the afternoon. He later discovered that the screws started popping out of our EDPM roof and recommended that it be replaced as it was near the end of it's useful life anyway. Not only this, we only had one downspout which is definitely not enough.

We had been holding off replacing the roof due to the cost as flat roofs are extremely expensive. He explained everything over the phone and was very patient. We ended up hiring him and his crew to replace our EPDM roof with a torch on roof that is much better suited for Calgary weather. Called Tony to look at our skylights when we took possession of our new house. Out of all the companies I called, Tony was the only one who took the call and came over within couple of hours as soon as I messaged him, while the rest of the companies were too busy to take new jobs or call back.

I was desperate on a saturday morning after finding water damage on my roof. Tony was the only roofing contractor that picked up his phone. He arrived the following day on the sunday to assess the situation and give his recommendation. He was confident in the issue and said he would return the following day with materials. Tony came on a Sunday to assess the leak in our home which came from a poorly finished valley joint in our roof and poor placement of downspouting. His repair work included adding flashing, redoing shingles, and extending the roof downspout into the eavestrough - all very professionally documented with photos of before and after, as well as very very prompt service (done on the day after on Monday). I would recommend Tony highly and his charges were in my opinion very fair. The photos show the before and after.

We recently did a bathroom renovation requiring our main vent stack to be moved and a new bath fan vent installed on our flat top torched on roof. We used Tony's Roof Repair for the job and were very satisfied with the results. Tony was on time, which was a must, as we were coordinating with the plumbers and his crew, and completed the job professionally. Additionally, as the plumbers still had some work to do that would require them to make an adjust to the main vent stack after it had been installed Tony offered to come back and check the sealant around the vent stack and repair it once the plumbers were done. Gave Tony a call once plumbers were done and his crew came back to follow through as he indicated. One additional note was that because of covid the a goose neck vent with proper height wasn't available for our new bath fan, so Tony got us a custom made vent to ensure we'd have proper height to allow snow clearance on our low slope roof. Tony and his crew replaced the 45 degree asphalt roof on my 1 1/2 story. I have some minor roofing experience and I watched the work closely. I contacted Tony's roof repair after a recent rainstorm where a leak had appeared inside my home from a long crack across my aging low-slope tar and gravel roof.
